AC Hotel by Marriott San Antonio Riverwalk

They didn’t have an inside swimming pool or a hot tub like advertised on the website

They do not have a parking area for hotel guests. You need to pay extra to park overnight at nearby private properties, recommend valet parking but it is about $50. Parking inconvenient, valet is convenient because there is no parking within the hotel but your car is parked about 6 blocks away.

Fantastic, the only drawback is the parking, it’s expensive and slow

Family vacation to Sea World and Aquatica. New hotel with spacious rooms and located across the street from Riverwalk entrance right off the street. Only downside was no pool and you had to pay for breakfast. We chose to walk to nearby restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Would stay here again.

Our stay here was great. We rated it an 8/10 and was traveling for leisure purposes. Right along the riverwalk and super close to Downtown San Antonio however just far enough from all the noise. The Watson Rooftop Bar was scenic and a great space to drink, leisure, and relax both inside and outside. They also had a live DJ, we went on Latin night. The room was cozy and easily able to change the temps. There was some unclean spots within our room, but was handled within minutes of me reporting it. Elevator was broken for 1 out of 3 so there were some delays at times. Overall would definitely book here again!

Place looked elegant and very clean , the room was very cozy and comfortable, clean and organized. Staff members were nice and professional.

Overall my stay was alright when in San Antonio but I was in pleased by the fact that my room was not cleaned every morning and I had to call everyday for new towels, wash clothes, etc when these items should be provided for guests on a daily without having to call for them.

Our family will be staying here again! The valet was amazing, the front desk staff was so kind! The only issue we had was the bathroom being dirty. The hair dryer was sticky and covered in finger prints. The shower had hair on the walls, and floor looked it hadn’t been cleaned with dirt everywhere. The beds were comfy, and everything else was perfect!

Ok and fine room But no cleaning in 4 days

No housekeeping at 3 night stay. She stopped at 5pm while we were changing for dinner. Asked for extra towels no one brought them. Rooftop patio was closed 2x for private parties & couldnt enjoy that. Rooms small but nice. Valet was great, Seth was super helpful!!

House keeping did not come clean out room, empty trash cans, or change towels despite us asking daily.

Hairs on my towel and dirty shower floor but good staff and rest of room was very nice

Nice property. Clean and modern rooms.

The room was passable. The tv would not work. There was hair all over the floor - bathroom, bedroom, hall. What a mess. There was even hair between the two packaged paper coffee cups. The place needed to be steam mopped. The bed sheets were rough and, though white, were threadbare. Also, we were supposed to have a “city view” but there’s a hotel being build, so we couldn’t even see out of the windows.

Narrow hallways , Dorm sized rooms, flat pillows, cheap mattresses, ( woke up with sore and stiff back because I tossed and turned all night trying to get comfortable.) no closet. Definitely did not like the set up of this room, Horrible experience.

The property had construction right in front of our window, could barely sleep throughout the stay. We found this out after we had already arrived and paid for the stay.

The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. The area was fantastic and it’s within walking stance to so much. The only thing we did not like was that we had a room that was behind the elevator (1914). Not sure if we shared the wall or what but every time the elevator was used you could hear it. The doors opening, the doors closing, the pulley system or whatever they use. I had the worst time trying to sleep. Outside of that it was a great stay.

Rooms were spacious and clean

The hotel overall is nice, although I had the last king bed room right next to the elevators. It was unbelievably loud all night every night. The hotel and staff were very nice, but the noise was a real issue.

Room was a little hot it only allowed 67 degrees and it didn’t even reach that overall great hotel but round sleep if u don’t like being hot

The property was nice, close to the Riverwalk and a church. It was safe, a lot of poor folks sleeping in cracks and corners near the hotel entrance. I did not like the size of the room, a closet didn’t exists, it was a tiny open area with 5 hangers. There were only two small drawers. No room to store luggage or shopping bags.

Property right on riverwalk the asian fusion next store and tiki bar both served up delicious drinks. The hotel also offers a rooftop reagaurant with nice views. Room's on the smaller end in comparisons to other hotels in the area.

I'll start off by saying the positive, which is the staff at this hotel was excellent. They're courteous, professional, and helpful, which I really appreciate. The downside about this hotel is things I don't know if they'll be able to really fix. If you book at this hotel, know that you won't have the standard amenities that you get at other Marriott hotels, which is surprising and disappointing. Also, if you want a good night's sleep, this isn't a hotel that you should choose. There is a rooftop restaurant that also acts as a bar and club. They play incredibly loud music until 1 a.m., which you can hear in your room. So if you're booking this hotel for a business trip and you need your sleep, I would pick a different hotel. The area around the hotel is convenient. It's across the street from the Riverwalk. Heads up, if you book the Riverview at this hotel, you're going to be paying extra. There is no Riverview. Literally, you have to look out at a tiny corner of the window and you'll see a sliver of the Riverwalk. You can barely see it. It's not worth paying the extra money for a basically non-existent Riverview. You'll see many reviews about this saying the same thing. Overall, the staff is excellent, but I would not return to this hotel. I would choose one of the other Marriott properties with better amenities, location, and for a more quality night's sleep.

Best customer service I have ever had in a hotel room!!!! They let me have an early check in with no extra charge. The room was super clean. The reason I wanted to to stay in this hotel room was for the roof top bar! I was not disappointed the drinks were sooo good!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They all went above and beyond to make my trip worthwhile we were there for business and pleasure. I was able to work then go to the rooftop at night. What fun I had. I will be going back very soon. I was very pleased with the valet parking service also.

Checked in on 12/19/25 and the young gentleman that assisted us was super friendly and extremely helpful. Definitely going to stay here on our next San Antonio trip.

My room wasn't ready at check in time, and the front desk staff couldn't give me an ETA. They extended late check outs to other patrons and caused delays for new check ins. I was unable to get the room type I booked. I was also charged twice for the room. Terrible customer service, the worst I've ever experienced.

Great stay. Only flaw was room not ready at 4:30 and never received a call when it was ready I had to keep going up to desk.

We drove from Arizona, and was tired, stress, and wanted to get into the room. Our check in agent was Tyler, he was patient, kind, and understanding. he was amazing. we were in a long line of complainers including myself, and Tyler never waivered with kindness. It really made me think that I need to be more like Tyler. I am in Finance and I had to stop and think, I am going to be a Tyler with my colleagues

We can’t possibly say enough to say what wonderful service we received from Gaby during breakfast. She really made us feel like we were the only ones there. She took the time to made sure our needs, especially our pregnant daughter’s, were met being expectations. She really sets the bar for customer service. Christian at the from desk was quite a delight to interact with as well. He made sure that our requests were fulfilled quickly. He always has a warm and welcoming smile and great at making recommendations. Awesome job, Gabby and Christian!!!

Cleanliness was really good, check in was super fast but one employee was not as welcoming, he seemed to be annoyed to help half the time and was coming off very sarcastic.

Close to everything. Literally parked and walked all weekend. Did take Uber to brunch one of the days. Great location off the Riverwalk! Hotel was clean and spacious and staff was very friendly and helpful.

There are too many hotels in downtown SA for $200 a night to have to accept a substandard room, valet times of one hour and short staffing for breakfast. I will not stay at this AC hotel again. The simple fact that the charge is $40 for valet and then get told it'll be one hour to have your car pulled up and that is accepted as normal by hotel managers. The management is no where to be found at all times.

I like my booking at the AC hotel and the breakfast was wonderful.

Room and property was great, the European breakfast was okay but not worth the price, would rather have more options than charcuterie board meats and bread.

Nice rooms and friendly staff. Great location for walking to surrounding events and the Riverwalk. There is no pool, but the rooftop restaurant and bar was really nice. Parking is not great and the $18 breakfast was not worth it. It really should have been complimentary.

I would like to mention that the service at the hotel itself was excellent. The service at the 1 Watson restaurant on the rooftop was horrible. I went tonights there for drinks on friday night and the chose to watch the superbowl there and the service for both nights was horrible.

The property was beautiful and to add the the great property they had a very nice bar on the rooftop and it sells great food also.

Great location- within walking distance to everything downtown. Thought the breakfast buffet was a huge ripoff and only ate there because we were short on time in the morning before heading to airport but other than that no complaints. I would definitely stay there again.
