Mint House St. Petersburg – Downtown

This was a great location next to lots of restaurants and breweries. It was too cold to swim but the pool area was nice with lots of outdoor seating. It was nice to be able to do laundry in our room. The only issue can be parking depending upon what time and when you were parking. Nights and weekends are a bit tough to find street parking.

Brand new property that was kept immaculate. Spacious rooms with a full kitchen. Everything is within waking distance. We could not have been happier. Our only complaint is that the pool closes promptly at 9:00pm. As quite adults, we would have liked to have been able to enjoy the pool a little bit later into the night, but this was only a small inconvenience and one we could easily overlook with all the other positives this hotel has to offer.

The accommodations themselves are very nice, very clean. The issue with the establishment is that there is zero self-parking spaces available on site. Valet parking was available according to staff at $35.00 per day although the outside sign indicated valet cost was either $15.00 or $25.00; not sure why the cost differences. Unfortunately for us, the valet parking was not available to us regardless of cost because of inclement weather. Lot parking is available at a few offsite locations at an additional cost that requires the use of an App which was not easy to use. Having to walk several blocks to and from our vehicle was not pleasant. For the expensive cost of the room, parking should be complementary even if it is offsite. To not disclose this issue and then require tired guests to deal with a poorly designed App to self park several blocks away was unacceptable. Thankfully, one porter assisted my husband with the App to get a spot within a 6 minute walk to the hotel. Will not be back because of this one issue.

The property was lovey. They did have an issue with the valet system.

Place was nice and clean. Bummer that the pool wasn’t heated.

Everything was good- just didn’t realize there was no gym. Was looking to do a long term rental but that was a game changer. Also the parking is valet only and really quite a pain. Had to wait a long time for the car , but often they wouid leave the keys at the desk. But for long term purposes , this is not optimal

Loved the in room laundry. Would definitely stay there again. No convenient hotel parking available.

This was a new hotel and it was awesome. Everything was new, clean, and good quality. The kitchen was great. We loved how close it was to Tropicana field. There were 2 things we didn’t like: 1. no parking at the hotel, unless you paid $35 for valet. We parked on the street which was scary. 2. No vending machines or ice machines. The refrigerator did make ice, but it had been turned off and it took a long time to make. As for the location, it was good for us because it literally took us about 8 minutes to walk to Tropicana Field. Driving in, the neighborhood was sketchy. No restaurants for breakfast nearby either. Overall, it was a nice place for us and we will stay there again.

Parking is clearly an issue. Valet reservations are strongly encouraged. There is very little parking otherwise.

Very technologically advanced. Check in and check out was super easy. The room was very clean and had several amenities. The pool was amazing as well.

There was broken glass on the floor in our room but otherwise very clean after we got the correct room.

The room had a horrendous stench of urine. This was communicated to the on site team. The team removed rugs from the room however the animal urine stench remained. The urine is likely imbedded into the furniture. The sliding door had to be open to air out the room and due to that, the noise from the street was loud and carried into the room. The guest was unable to rest. The experience was very unpleasant

The hotel was in a good location. Staff were amazing. Location is good and I love the washer dryer inside the room. Unfortunately it was not clean when we checked in. The bathroom was dirty and hairs on the floor. The floor in the room was dirty also.

Very clean, safe location, close to restaurants, and shopping. Only real issue with the property that we experienced was that our hot water heater wasn’t heating up. The maintenance guys came quickly, and fixed the issue. They were very professional, personable, and polite. Also, no on-site parking, which was a little inconvenient. Most of the parking around the hotel is only 2 hour parking between 8 am -6 pm. There are parking lots within a 10-15 minute walk. After 6 pm you can park overnight on the streets surrounding the hotel though. Construction of a new building right next door was a little noisy. However, the construction workers were respectful toward us. Overall we were very pleased with the facility, and our stay.

The mint house was a perfect, easy stay! The room was clean and spacious. We also enjoyed being able to cook when we wanted to. The staff was friendly and the location is in the heart of the city.

Only 2 hour parking available during specific times of the day. It was located in a great spot for activities but constantly having to leave what I was doing just to move my car was frustrating. There is valet parking but there's only 3-4 spots and it's very expensive. The property wasn't as cleaned as well as I had hoped and found several dead bugs in the bathroom and even on the bed, along with stains on the floor that didn't seem like they had been touched. My thermostat didn't work so the room was freezing and the bed was right under the vent and the cold air would wake me up in the night. Otherwise it was a very cute property but just needed better taken care of, and a designated parking lot

Parking is a total pain if there’s a baseball game, the room was nice, but the bathroom was dirty, and had hair clippings in the shower. Water pressure is much to be desired, and the bed wasn’t very comfortable.

We had a fantastic stay at Mint House! The staff was super friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and had everything we needed including in room laundry machines. The only note is that the surrounding area gets a bit loud on the weekends since it is in a fun part of town with a lot of night life, but if that is something you don't mind I cannot recommend Mint House enough :)

Rooms are starting to get worn out already. Stayed here many times and the cleanliness and maintenance of the room has gone down a lot since the fall. Lots of scum in the shower, floors left with crumbs and hair all over the place. Definitely does not seem like it’s being kept up with like it was last year.

I was pay a lot of money and the room wasn’t even clean, we literally saw drawings on the shower glass from previous people.

Pillows were not comfortable. Thermostat and tv in the room were complicated.We would have liked, instructions. Although staff was available to help.

Overall, my stay was amazing! I loved having access to a full kitchen and staying in a very central location. Pool was very nice, beds are comfortable. A few things I wish I had known ahead of time : valet is $35, but there is free parking everywhere around for 2 hours 8AM-11PM, however they chalk the tires so as long as there isn't chalk, you can leave the car where it is. There is also construction on the building next door which is LOUD and begins at 7AM. The road at the front of the building is also loud/busy and the glass doors do little to block that noise - if you're a very light sleeper you might hear the cars going by on busy nights.

Clean and spacious rooms with washer and dryer. Fast and free internet. Friendly and attentive front desk. Overall great option for a multi-day stay.

The room I stayed in was basically a mini apartment with some appliances. It was nice having a full size refrigerator as well as a washer and dryer in the room. Also having the ability to cook meals in the room was an added convenience although I never made use of it. Large balcony for extra space and the TV was very large. The room served my purpose and didn’t cost an arm and a leg for what it offered. I was happy with my stay and I would return in the future.

The room faced the city, full kitchen, simple, clean, close to everything, walkable area. Everything we wanted for an overnight. Bonus: very Friendly staff.

I have never stayed with Mint before and I had a last minute booking for Memorial Day weekend and they had the best price so I gave it a chance. I must say my expectations were more than met!!! First of all, the room, kitchen, and bathroom were so clean! The whole building was so clean and chic and the pool area was amazing! The room comes fully stacked! Coffee pot with creams and sugar, pots, pans, plates, drinkwear, dishwasher and dishwasher pods, laundry with detergent, and the bathroom also has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash!!! The room itself was nicely laid out and it didn’t feel cramped and small despite it being a studio apartment style!! The bed was super comfy! The bathroom was very clean and I didn’t feel grossed out in it lol! The location is also amazing! 16 minutes from St.Pete beach or Treasure Island, TONS of restaurants, and stores within walking distance and if you don’t have a car they have TONS of those electric scooters and bikes modern cities usually have! But I doubt you will need it for real, the longest walk I had was 10 minutes! The food in this area is amazing and the vibes of this city were so good!!! All in all I’m so glad I happened to stay here! I felt safe, clean, and comfortable staying with them and I will definitely be rebooking in the future!

Very peaceful and checking in was a breeze. Only thing which was fine with me in the end was the shower’s heated water wasn’t working and pretty cold. Otherwise it was lovely!

This was a nice and beautiful place to stay!! Had one problem and it was fixed asap. I would be coming back to stay.

Staff is great. Very friendly and accomadating. Theres even a texting line you can send messages on if you need anything.

Great location for attending a Rays game at the Trop! Less than 5 minute walk to the field in a nice location with plenty of restaurants nearby. Everything I needed in my clean room with a balcony view of Tropicana Field. Wonderful overnight stay!

Really enjoyed our stay at Mint House! Came into town for the St.Pete Grand Prix and the location was fantastic. Very easy to get places, we either walked or hopped on the bus. There were dining options nearby and our stay lined up with a local market one of the mornings. Room was very clean and was stocked with most things we needed. The pool is right along the sidewalk and gets some traffic looking into the pool area, wasn't overly private but didn't bother us much. We heard through talking to some people the hotel was an official sponsor for the GP, so wish there had been more communication about that when we booked or when we arrived. Overall enjoyed our stay, would stay here again

It can be difficult to find an affordable place to stay in a city like St. Petersburg. Mint House is such a place. Clean, quiet apartment-like rooms with kitchen and in-room laundry facilities that feel like home. Top it off with staff that treats you like family and this nearly becomes your home away from home no matter why you are St. Petersburg. Icing on the cake is that the property is walking distance to all kinds of shopping and dining, including only a mile or so to the pier. Can't walk? The trolley is only one block away!
