ALL Season Waterfront Cottage with WIFI, BBQ, Beach & Boat Ramp

The interior is very nice and fully equipped. The outside, however, needs renovating (deck & gazebo). The stay was nice, but overpriced because of the condition of the exterior. Bring your own watercraft and beach accessories.

Overall, the property is quiet and great for spending time with family.Pros:Both bathrooms are modern and have heated flooring which is wonderful if staying during colder weather.Only concern is no place to put clothing etc in the bathroom as counter space is limited. A shelf on the wall would be a welcome addition.Great balcony overlooking the river.Lot's of kitchen counter space and all the amenities are there to cook and clean.Cons: The furniture is somewhat past it's prime (Sunken dining chairs) and limited group seating in the main living area if more than 4 people. Lighting is quirky and it would be great if the light switches were labeled as honestly, unless you stay there and experience it, makes little sense.The fridge is quite loud, and door to the outside sitting enclosure is broken, so it wont keep mosquitos out.Also, you wont be able to swim here, but the beach area is quite nice and peaceful.The property needs a bit of maintenance to be a 5 star, but I suspect the owners do not live nearby as the garbage in the side building has about 30 bags of old garbage in it.What surprised us, was the day we were to leave, a real estate agent showed up at around 9:30 am stating they had scheduled a showing of the property and even asked if we were ok to let them in to show the place (we were not)Note: the owners are very responsive and made the check-in easy.

The location of the cottage was nice being so close to Pembroke. The interior was spacious with 1 bedroom on ground floor, 2 bedrooms (1 open in loft and 1 enclosed) upstairs and 1 in the basement. The 2 bathrooms were nice with heated floors. Exterior deck and firepit were nice areas to relax. Beach was nice but the boat launch was a bit tricky as it isn't overly wide and the lake bottom was mushy for launching our watercraft. (We ended up using the nearby public launch to take our seadoo back out of the water). Fishing was great and our family enjoyed many fish dinners. (tip- fishing by the edge of the rapids was good) We were unaware that the rapids would prevent us from going upriver (towards Pembroke) but we could go downriver for many miles so this wasn't an issue. Only negative was the well water had a sulfur smell but host provides bottled water cooler for potable use. Overall we had a nice family get together to end the summer.

We were two families with toddlers going for a long weekend. Place was very nice and clean, beautiful calm beach perfect for the kids! Deck definitely needs to be upgraded. Top bedroom is open concept to the living and dining area so not ideal with putting little kids to bed up there but we made do. Overall had a great stay!

The cottage is lovely- lots of bedrooms, nice beach, gorgeous views over the water, great barbeque on the deck and, contrary to some of the reviews I've read, no issues with the deck itself whatsoever. We did have an issue with the AC and our host was as responsive as you could wish for. Really great effort, very amiable, very accommodating, top notch, really. If you're planning on hosting a dinner for more than 6 people, you may need to bring additional cookware. The kitchen is well stocked, but probably won't accommodate a Thanksgiving meal prep, for example. But if you're hoping for a beautiful cottage on the water with a great view and a great deck from which to enjoy it, this is your place! We were very happy to take stayed there.

We were a group of 6 plus occasionally others visiting but staying / living in Pembroke nearby. Family gathering from across the country for a father/grandfather's memorial. When we arrived there was no running water caused by a fault in a new flood detection system installed to shut off water in case pipes burst. This issue was known to the owner but we were not informed. It took well over an hour with two of us troubleshooting the issue, and some helpful texts from the owner, to get water flowing again. Ultimately it was my nephew who figured out how to override the system. The deck, mentioned by previous guests, is in dire need of major repair. Patches are keeping it usable but it needs a full rebuild very soon. Having the upstairs loft master bedroom walled in would be nice too for additional privacy and quiet if some guests want to go to bed earlier in the evening or sleep in For the most though, the place was as advertised. Clean, comfortable, great location on the River. But for the price, a more trouble-free stay was expected. Running water is definitely expected.

The property is very nice however the deck was in need ofcreplacement. The majority of the ddcking has started to rot. There are many soft areas and a large number of inapropriate thin plywood patches which are a hazard. As a result it was easy to trip and get splinters. Unacceptable at this price point. If this was my own home i would have repkaced the deck a long time ago

The building itself is beautiful and spacious. We were a little surprised that there was no dock. While the dry part of the beach was sandy, the river bottom was quite muddy and very difficult to walk in without getting stuck in the mud, so that a dock would have been appropriate. The BBQ scrubber was completely worn out and not useable. The strong rotten egg smell of the sulphate in the water was a big issue and a show stopper for us, I’m afraid. Such a shame, because the cottage itself was so lovely.

Much better than we expected. Easy check-in with great communication. Great place to relax and it's very clean and has all the necessities (coffee, sugar, towels, shampoo, etc.) We're planning to come back again in Spring or Summer.

The place looked like the photos and had everything we needed but the floors were quite sandy when we arrived, the extra towels were not in an easily accessible location, and there was a light switch next to the tv that was turned off which did not allow us to use it for the first day. The host did not let us know that this switch impacts the power to the tv. The basement tv also did not turn on. The power to the fridge was also tripped, so it was off for half a day before we realized. Aside from these things, the stay was very pleasant.

It is very beautiful and we used it daily. May want to add that to your ad on VRBO. Huge selling point. Very cute/quaint town.

The owner is EXTREMELY responsive, which is a huge positive as apposed to other cottage owners. The property is located steps (probably not more than 5) from the water. Amazing sunrise and sun set. The cottage is equipped with everything as specified in the ad. It is a lot more spacious than photos show. There are groceries near by, cell service and wifi signal is great. I would definitely re-book when it’s hotter outside as the lake was frozen for winter.

We had an amazing time! Enough room to comfortably have 8 of us. Perfect spot for us to relax and enjoy our time together. Everything we needed we available, and we would love to come back again!
