Did not know our room was on third floor. 81 year old mother had a hard time. When I mentioned it on the phone they could have told me and we could have made other arrangements in another room or else. We had just a little over a roll of toilet paper and no back up. No wash clothes. Mom and I came back after the caverns so she could rest. Some people unlocked door and was getting ready to come up and I said hello. They left and left our door open. We did not notice until about 3 hours later when we were going down the 3rd floor stairwell. There was sticky stuff on tv stand and on tv remote. The grounds needed to be maintained better. But other than that nice rooms. I love the open bathroom and shower. The beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows. It was nice they had water in kitchen refrigerator. Thank you! 😀

Upon arrival, the outside is poorly maintained. We weren't allowed to access our room because we arrived 40 minutes early. When we returned, we found out we needed a code to get in and no information as to how to get it. Parking is in the lot for a neighboring apartment. It wasn't until we made other lodging arrangements that we found out they sent us a message in the Hotels.com app to fill out something else so we could get check in info. Now they are refusing to refund our money. I'd stay away from this lodging.

We really enjoyed staying at this unique home. The room we stayed in was plenty large enough for a few days and had plenty of things to make us feel welcomed. The location was perfect being close to downtown Luray and a very short drive to the caverns and park entrances. The staff was not on the premesis but still very responsive to texts. We would stay there again without a second thought.
