I was very pleased with the Sunrise Inn. Parking was good. The entire property is well looked after and very clean. The rooms are comfortable, my room was absolutely spotless. I would not only recommend this place, I’ll visit again

Nice spot! Room was very clean and staff were very nice. A little close to the train tracks but not much can be done about that. Parking lot is a bit small and tricky with truck and trailer - but staff were very accommodating and even moved their personal vehicle to make room for me. Would stay again in future.

Very inconvenient to have to drag luggage upstairs to room, room smelled of smoke, door ways hard to lock, The polyester comforter on bed made me sweat, tv instructions did not work, had to play around with it for while to get it working, otherwise it was ok.

The central location is nice. But if you look at the reviews it gives the appearance of being 4 out of 5 stars. It is newly renovated but there is still a lingering odor of cats. The steps up to the property, the stairs and the steps upto each room are not senior friendly.

Poor amenities in the bathroom. We actually had to go out and buy body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The room was clean but had an unpleasant mothball scent. To get to the limited breakfast which was toast, stale mini muffins, corn flakes and a chocolate kind but no milk. I thought they would at least have some bagels or yogurt. To enter the breakfast area you have to go outside, enter in the front door and then take your food back to your room. I liked that it was close to town and you could walk around. The bed was comfortable. All in all it was clean and convenient. The staff was friendly when and if you saw them.

Needed a quick one night stay. Served its purpose, definitely nothing fancy. Clean with the exception of mold in the shower. Beds were firm. The cappuccino machine in the morning was definitely the highlight of the modest continental breakfast.

The good: Small but clean rooms… well thought out (no smelly carpet; hooks in bathroom; chairs to chill in; lots of accessible outlets for charging, lots of hangers, microwave, fridge, etc.) Quiet, central. The not-so-good: caused two power outages (requiring front desk to reset fuse) until advised to keep one heater off in room. That made it a little chilly, especially in bathroom. Recommendations: bring cozy slippers to address cold floor, a throw or two, and extra towels and pillows for a more comfortable stay.

This property is Great choics if you dont mind a more simple affordable option Its Quiet, Clean Has cable Tv, Free wifi and close parking my only issue is the room that had 2 beds they were a bit hard and uncomfortable unlike the room that had the single queen.But its more than enough considering the price I really can't Complain also Would be nice if the tv's were a bit larger But overall I give it 4/5 Stars!

You get what you pay for. Pictures look good but the reality is less impressive. A very basic no frills experience. Shower tap was close to falling off. Caution climbing the stairs to second level...they're not all 11/7. Trains go by almost on the hour using their horns but l was not bothered during sleeping hours. I arrived to a strong cleaning fluid smell in the room. They have small bath towels. 11 min walk to harbourfront. 5 min walk to downtown shops. Breakfast was to be at 7am but the person moved the partition at 7:35 am.... only to reveal day old bread, small plain muffins and cereal. Nothing hot at all. I left to get breakfast at Tims. Overall l was disappointed. I don't know how they get a high rating.

I booked this on Expedia and gave Expedia my payment information. When I arrived they insisted on me paying them. I thought that was a little strange. Breakfast is not much of a breakfast - you make some toast, grab a coffee, and put some Corn Flakes in a bowl in take it to your room. All that said, it is a comfortable clean place at a great price right on the edgie of historic downtown Parry Sound and the harbour.

Didn't even stay... I was assured the place had accessible rooms for my mother who uses a walker - the check in person didn't even know what "accessible room" meant. They wanted to hold an additional $50 on my credit card, AND take a picture of my drivers license to keep on file. No way - never, ever allow anyone to keep your personal information. Yes they can see it to verify I am who I am & live at the correct address & such, however, Never never allow them to keep a copy. It's not required, or necessary. The hotel looked sketchy from the outside, there was a large step up to the rooms (again, not accessible for a person who requires walking assistance) We left before checking in & went to the Comfort Inn, which was almost brand new, had hot breakfast, excellent rooms (clean, bright, clean sheets, large ACCESSIBLE bathroom :-) ) Save yourself the aggravation & skip the sunrise & go directly to the Comfort Inn (the total rate was less than $20.00 difference)

For the price, you won't find a better hotel. It is very clean, with very nice updates. Beds and linen are very comfortable. There are not many amenities, and the breakfast is very limited, but it is a safe, friendly, clean place to rest your head on a budget.

Breakfast was a joke — no meat, no eggs, and not even a chair! The ‘dining area’ was so tiny I felt like I was sneaking snacks out of a closet. On the bright side, the room’s soundproofing was excellent.
