The hotel was two blocks from where my son lives near yoyogipark.I don’t know if I would stay there again. We had a suite which was expensive. It faced the park but the noise level outside from cars, ambulances, motorcycles kept me up all night. The staff was great except one annoying staff at the pool.I let my son and his wife swim after we had spent $140 on a seafood salad and two drinks. Then this staff member started yelling at me .Are they staying here.Well they have to go.The pool was empty because it had been raining. However, he really embarrassed my new daughter in law.The manager came and apologized but we didn’t even get an offer of free drinks. So I don’t think I’d stay there again.

Exceptional in every aspect. The hotel location, the staff, the breakfast, the calm atmosphere and everything in between. We will be staying at TRUNK Hotel Yoyogi Park on every future visit to Tokyo.

My experience at Trunk Hotel was quite odd. My girlfriend and I arrived around 10 am, knowing that normal check in time is 2pm. The staff that was there, three people, almost seemed surprised we were there. They took my passport and card details and afterwards one of the staff just said "so do you want to store your luggage?" Somewhat surprised, I asked, "sure, I suppose that means the room isn't ready then. Do you have any indication on when the room will be ready?" Another staff member emotionlessly said "2pm". I asked if they think there is any chance of the room being ready sooner, I would have been happy to pay if needed. And they just said "we'll let you know". So I asked if they have my contact details and they all looked confused and started clicking on the computer. Then they said that they have my email and will email me. My girlfriend and I walked around for about 4 hours, no email was sent. We came back exactly at 2pm and asked if the room is ready. They said it was and that our luggage was already in the room. So unless the room was ready seconds before we arrived, it had been ready for some time, uet no one bothered to call. At a hotel of higher standard, the front desk staff would have just said "I'm so sorry but unfortunately your room isn't ready yet, may we take your mobile number and call you when it's ready" On top of this, they insisted I had only paid for breakfast for 1 and charged me for the other, despite me showing that I had paid for two.
