The Tickle Inn Saltbox by the Sea

We had a lovely stay at Tickle Inn Saltbox by the Sea in Champneys West, Bonavista Peninsula, Newfoundland. This old traditional Newfoundland house has been redone with all modern amenities but left the character and charm of the crooked and creaky floors and natural wood walls. Beautiful deck facing south overlooking an inlet. Even a little fox came to visit. So peaceful and quiet but close to the charming village of Trinity and the renowned Port Rexton Brewing.

The Tickle Inn was just perfect! So cute, so comfortably set up, and immaculately clean. We enjoyed the deck, and we loved the view across the harbour. We just wish we could have stayed longer!

This place is a.perfect place, central and quiet with all the amenities. We used it as a base to explore this part of the island and only wish we could have stayed longer. The place is newly renovated historic building that maintains all the charm. Beautiful sun sets on the deck with lots of birds, aneighbourhood cat and a fox that came by. We definately recommend this place.

The tickle box property was very clean. We had an unfortunate issue with the bathrooms. The flushing handles weren’t working and a very strong cleaning agent had been used. The area is very cute and the host was very responsive.
