Baymont by Wyndham Kokomo

I have stayed here twice. This time the pool was not open.

Customer service was well and expected there is only so much the the host can co trol but the property and rooms were of poor quality. Two of the back doors did not lock for those going in and out as they please. Parking lots is nothing but potholes. Lighting in the hall ways is very poor. My room had two bulbs blown. Did a good check for bedbugs and nothing that was a good thing.i will not recommend. The pool was less than impressive tiles chipping and unsafe. Dirty all around the carpet stains were curious and plain raised too many questions for a second booking

My partner and I recently stayed at the Baymont by Wyndham Kokomo for one night while on a roadtrip. The staff was kind and overall we had a comfortable stay. The room we received was spacious and clean, although there was minor wear and tear (chipped bathtub, stains in carpet, etc). Of note, unfortunately, the property also does not have elevators which, although not too bothersome for us on the second floor, would certainly be a major inconvenience for larger families. The hallways were very muggy and warm as well as dimly lit. As others have mentioned, the parking lot is absolutely abysmal and seems as if it hasn't been paved in two decades. The potholes are as large as craters and you need to be an above average driver to navigate around them while driving through the parking lot. Additionally, the side door at the bottom of the staircase we used to access our car and go up to our room was notably broken. The lock did not work and the door was left open at all times, giving anyone easy access to the hotel which was unnerving to say the least. This property was comfortable to stay in for a short period of time, but I would suggest looking at other options in it's current state.

The hotel and room was clean, but there were a lot of little bits of disrepair. Chipped and peeling paint on the exterior, rough and pothole filled parking lot, broken tiles in the lobby, damaged drywall in the rooms. There was also a very limited selection for breakfast and the juice machine was out of order all week.

You could tell the property was being renovated, but maybe they needed to shut down areas at a time to renovate. Our bathtub faucet was so loose it broke while trying to shower. The hallway carpets needed replaced, badly. The pool was frigid, too cold to swim in. Breakfast was lacking. People (guests or homeless people, I couldn’t tell) were smoking directly outside the main doors. The only good thing I can say was the staff was friendly.

No lighting on the building sign was not lit drove around the block 2 or 3 times looking for the hotel. When we finally found the entrance, we hit a huge pothole I'm talking 3-4 feet wide 10-12 inches deep that we could not see because of no lights in the parking lot. The picture shown in the advertisement looks nothing like what it actually looks like. Breakfast consisted of waffles, 1 apple, 6 oranges and an orange juice machine that was out of order. This hotel should be shut down till all renovations are complete and the parking lot is repaved, potholes everywhere. I will not return to this or any Whyndum properties.

The room was comfortable and clean. It was ok for the one night our family stayed. However, the pool was down due to the t temperatureThere were large potholes in the parking lot.Also the breakfast was very limited.

The bed was terrible. The parking lot had huge pot holes, Breakfast had barely any food at all.

I arrived at night and the Baymont sign was NOT LIT. I drove around the building 2 times before I found the entry. The entry drive under WAS MISSING. The building looked like someone BOUGHT a condemned building and wanted to repair it and open a motel. The toilet was LOOSE!! The hot water came out of the right handle on the sink. The 2nd night, the shower head looked 10-15 years old. The room was painted but the painter forgot to cover the roller with paint. The OUTSIDE of the building looked GETTO!! VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED

Pool was down for maintenance, tub water was brown when started. Ceiling leaked in the hallway. No signage for room numbers etc. Breakfast was good :)

The parking lot is full of pot holes, the building looks vacant. Dirty, dark and smells

Outside of property is in disrepair and hallways dirty, however room exceptionally clean, good breakfast, quiet, and spacious room.

Admittedly, the property is old, and has its share of maintenance issues. However, the hotel was very clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and again. Compared to one of my co-workers who paid $100 more for his room, I got a bargain!!

I was misled about the swimming pool—it was filthy and closed for maintenance during my stay. The exterior of the hotel was unkempt, with a strong, unpleasant odor, and people were smoking right outside the building entrances. Inside, the carpets in both the hallways and rooms were heavily stained. I had booked two rooms, and both had broken or missing safety locks on the doors. The beds were uncomfortable, and the towel racks were coming loose from the walls. There were exposed TV cables, and the wall had been painted around the television without removing it, leaving an unprofessional finish. The chairs were stained, and the floor tiles were cracked and hazardous. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the hotel. While the staff were courteous and tried their best, it's unfortunate they have to manage such a poorly maintained property. The housekeeping team appeared to be doing their job, but the hotel itself looked almost abandoned—especially from the outside. Even the bathtub had been painted over, and the paint was already starting to crack.

The hallway has very dull lighting, which made me feel uneasy. The decor of the room was good. However as we started eating our food we encountered a roach on the dresser by the food.

Shower was poor, water was plugged pretty badly. Whole place was kinda shabby, needs paint and rehab. Parking lot full of deep potholes. Plus side, the staff were friendly and courteous, bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.

This place was a huge disappointment.(We had the king suite) It looks nothing like the pictures you see when booking online. The parking lot and building needs alot of TLC. the carpet on the inside needs replaced. Our room carpet was filthy. The bathroom was in horrible shape, tub/shower had cracks and holes in it, the Curtain rod was barely holding on. Smelled horrible (we had to got by spray and cleaning supplies) Breakfast was a joke and out of everything. We travel alot and this by far might have been one of most disappointing places when stay at. 😔

2 night stay during family visit. Physical appearance of property was showing extreme wear of building and parking. Hallway floors creaked and sagged as if floor joists were loose. Only one ice machine working for entire building. Included breakfast very lacking. Stained furniture in room, shower curtain torn & bar loose. Rack for towels bent and pulling loose from wall. Tub/shower had no safety grab bars or floor mat which may explain torn curtain and loose curtain rod. Also, paint peeling in shower/tub surround as it was not prepped properly or wrong paint used likely not intended to be painted. AC difficult to regulate and unit not sealed to building allowing light to be seen around unit and allowing insects to enter. Stained and poorly repaired ceiling in room. Private exterior door security pads/lock broken on 3 of the doors I used therefore anyone had access to the building at all hours.

This hotel is in serious need of a major overhaul. The carpet is awful. The layout is simply bizarre. The room had a decent bed, but the bathtub was filthy, the chair was gross, the tv was tiny...just a huge disappointment all the way around.

Hotel was very dirty, ants in the shower, full size bed instead of queen as advertised, hotel renovation, no signage on front of hotel, covered entry was removed, in wall AC until was duck taped to the wall.

Decent place for a quick stay. Property a little old but pretty clean. Room was comfortable and quiet.

The stay was okay but the room was cold and bath tub did not work very well because the water barely came out.

I initially thought the hotel was closed when I pulled up. It looks like it’s falling part and landscaping and parking lot is unkempt. However, the room itself was nice and spacious and comfortable. The King bed room offered a pull out sofa couch which came in handy when my kids decided to stay a night with us instead of with grandma which was the original plan. They offered nice Dove products for washing. The staff were super friendly. Breakfast was good. Great waffles, pancake sausage corn dog shaped things, bagels, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereal. The pool unfortunately is uncomfortably ice cold. However, the shower was fantastic. Felt like soft waterfall. The bed is super comfortable and so is the room. I would have given 5 stars if it looked a little better and the pool was warmer because everything else is fantastic. For the price and considering everything else is nice, I would consider visiting here again

I had a wonderful stay with jetted tub and there was plenty of towels. I would stay again and the breakfast was alright.

Comong from the highway, we could not see the hotel sigh and we passed it... thinking whatvis this big run-down building? Butvturning around, we saecthe hotel sign and found the entrance. It is across from the recently shut down factory, amd the hotel building is kind of unique and big, but the peeled paints from bricks here and there made it look like it is pastvthe prime. The room was far from the front desk area, but it was near one of otjer entrances. Once we figured a parking close to the closest entrance, it was not too bad. The vuilding surrounds a big courtyard which is now a back parking space. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Theceoom was spaceous. Had enough outlets to charge all phones. The breakfast was absolute minimal. I did not expect a lot for the modest price, but i hoped at least to see cream cheese for the bagels. There was one piece of old-looking orange in the fruit shelf... it was at least one hour before closing of the breakfast, but there no sign of refilling any items. Coffee pots were nearly empty and the coffee was luke warm. Wl We did not mind it but the hallway of the second floor was quite warm. My husbamd saw another customer complaining about it and demanding the money back. I mean, the AC was working well in the room, so i wouldn't complain about that. Overall it was an ok stay for a budget.

The property was old and outdated needs renovation top to bottom Parking lot was trash had pot holes inside everything was old needs renovation or just tear the place down and new

Excellent services, great employees

The parking lot was a trap to replace your tires. Big massive potholes. This property had Changed owners so much that someone should bring value to the property, instead of a quick dollar. Kimberly the hotel manager did provide accommodations for my daughter. The assistant manager was totally rude. There is so much potential to the property just nobody to invest. It was a ok stay, it served its purpose.

My room that I reserved was not available, took over 30 minutes to get another room, desk staff not able to take care of us,she did not know what to do,had to call in manger. Not a good experience, room we got ok but the process was

Although everyone was very nice, Jason went above and beyond his duties. He did several different things to assist me due to my handicap.

The 2nd desk person was rude and when I called him out on it he said I was rude the minute I walked, ummm no I was tried from traveling all day. If you’re working you should be nice to anyone coming into your place of work. Also, building does not look like the picture and we missed it and had to turn around.

We checked out yesterday morning & still have not received my $50 deposit! The parking lot is HORRIBLE! Full of potholes! Staff was very friendly & allowed us to stay over an hour past check out time...

Beds were fine, room reasonably clean, but rest of place in disrepair. Reasonable breakfast but nobody was attending to it and out of many items. Front desk people were friendly and efficient. Wasn't expecting a high end hotel at the price point, but they need a little investment.

We loved the staff, super friendly and professional. The hotel could definitely use some updates, but overall we would stay here again. I will say the hallways were quite cold for some reason. Also, the breakfast was good but it could have used more hot options(like biscuits and gravy maybe). Other than that, it was great!!!

This place was a big disappointment! Most Baymont’s are very nice. This place was very bad. The room we were given was a long walk from the elevator and my husband was having heart pains by the time we reached the room. On the positive side the bed was comfortable and the towels were very nice. The place was hard to find due to there not being a sign to show where it was located. The staff was pleasant and friendly but the other problems will keep me from staying there again.

absolutely amazing staff could not be more helpful in any capacity and this is a heck of a deal for a hotel it shoots they have three great breakfast and indoor pool and it's located closely in town to a lot of things....Kim is awesome

I liked that it was convenient to my work in bad weather and was everything i needed. The only thing i was disapointed at was the tv was too small.

The building was unmarked, no signs on the building or out front. . We drove around the building 3 times through the broken up parking lot trying to determine if the facility was open or abandoned. Really, no sign ? Not even a banner identifying the front door? Not up to any standards. Did not check in.

“Long in the tooth” property. Lots of work needs to be done to bring it up to good appearance- paint, worn carpet, dim lighting, etc.The staff was excellent- the desk clerk even came out in the parking lot to show me where to park and where my entrance was. It was convoluted to get to my room and I have limited mobility- she explained the elevator and put me in a room next to the elevator. No awning or anything for the front entrance- had to call to find out where the front door was.

Need repair potholes around the parking lot and improve breakfast service..even no butter, no jams for bread.

Breakfast was fantastic, alternating menu. Biscuits and gravy were delicious! We didn't receive service two consecutive days. We had to ask for towels at the front desk. One day was due to our "do not disturb" sign being on our door at 11:00 am. However, we were gone by then. Sign could not have been on the door at 11:00 am because we always take it off before we leave. The next day had to explanation as to why we didn't receive service.
