The location of this hotel was excellent being next to a tram stop which was free travel into the CBD. However we had a car, and I did not realise that car parking is not covered under the hotel room rate. In addition, we were told there were limited car spots and it was booked out, so we needed to park at a nearby outdoor carpark for $28/day. The cleanliness and property condition left something to be desired. One of our 2 room keys did not activate the lights in the room. There was mould on the bottom corner of the shower. And when I lifted the covers on the first night, there were shoe prints on the bedsheets. When I phoned reception, they brought new sheets but left us to change them. Then when I lifted the sheets off the bed, I saw that the mattress protector was stained yellow and even had someone’s period stain on it! Overall a great location, but a disappointing experience for a 4 star hotel.

Great customer service, arrived prior to 12:00 in the hope to leave bags there until the check in time. The staff were happy to check us in early. Quest was clean, used the gym daily and the room was clean on check in. We ended up extending the stay. My only niggle is that the bed needed a matress topper, it was two twins pushed together but with no topper you can easily feel the separation between the beds.

It was a spacious roo (small studio) with a bit of view of the quay. The room was quite basic but it provided all that was needed. It's not really a hotel, but basic room service was provided every day. It had had a small kitchenette but not for doing much cooking. A nice plus was the laundry facility. Although it's located on the skirt of CBD, there is a tram station very close by. Overall, I recommend this accommodation.

Everything was great. Just be aware that there is barely any on site parking. This fact doesn’t appear on the website, or I couldn’t find it. They advise to park in a nearby parking station. This will substantially increase the cost of your stay should you want to drive yourself to this accommodation. If you don’t need parking, go for it. The Hotel is excellent.

We spent 2 nights before a cruise. 1 bedroom apartment included a washer and dryer, which was really convenient. The apartment was clean, and included everything needed. The tram stop is 1/2 a block away. Would stay again.

Courteous staff, decent quality hotel fittings but cleaning was substandard. Towels not changed in full two of the days, we had to call them back. Denied parking 2 of 4 days despite empty bays I could see. No EV charging.

Good location right next to tram line that gets you anywhere in Melbourne. Rooms were spacious and had all of our needs. We chose this hotel specifically because they have washer and dryer in the room as we are on a 15 day trip. Highly recommend!

I stayed at Quest NewQuay for one night during a business trip and found it very convenient. Having a bad experience at another hotel in a different part of Melbourne, this place was more to my liking. There were ample eateries, a grocery across the street, and, more importantly (since I was traveling for business), a laundry room that actually worked. My only critique was the rooms are a bit small and based on the pictures, I thought there was a washer and dryer inside the room (it's not). Also, there is no coffee bar on-site and no creamer in the rooms to make my own coffee to my liking but other than that; it was a pleasing experience.

Room was fine, fingerprints on glass etc but generally clean. Was told we would have to pay $55 for sheets for the sofa bed even though the room was booked for the correct amount of people. Too many trips to reception to sort. Took 3 messages to the property to only be told there was no parking available. Also lacking in room amenities like milk, tissue etc. Reception staff, but mostly the man, lacking in customer service skills, quite rude.

Overall it was pretty good, good location, staff were helpful. The room was not very clean, the mirrors were dirty, the carpet floor hadnt been vacummed, due to the pattern of the carpet it is forgiving and at first it looked clean, but i stood on some plastic tags and other items demonstrating the floor hadnt been vaccumed. Some of the cutlery and kitchen utensis were dirty and i had to wash items before using them. The place just needs a bit more attention to detail to meet Quest standards and the price of the rooms. For what we paid i anticipated better.

The property is in a great, peaceful position. Close to lots of nice restaurants and marvel stadium. The cleanliness of the apartment wasn’t too great. There was hair on the ground, our quilt didn’t have a cover on it and it was stained, as well as the side of the mattress which I struggled with.

Quiet location and convenience for me and my family. Easy to commute to CBD. However, I found out there are some dirt and blood on the quilt and it’s smelly. Also the shower area is easy to have water spread out. Other than that it’s a good choice.

Our room had someone else's hair left on the shower floor, rubbish on the balcony, crumbs in the fridge handle and someone else's ice cream left in the freezer. I had to ask 3 times for the room to be cleaned before it was done. The room was noisy. Thr front desk staff were lovely though.

Clean, quiet, good value for money. While the room was serviced each day - beds made, towels changed, a quick wipe down if table and benches wouldn’t have hurt. Came across some rubbish under the pull out couch and hair clips on the carpet which probably should have been picked up.

Exceptionally clean rooms & they smelt lovely, very comphy bed & pillows,nice & quiet . The staff were extremely helpful & polite, great location & close to everything. Perfect little cafe with great coffee very close by too. Definitely recommend staying here, I know we will :)

The least impressive Quest I've stayed at. Housekeeping was particularly poor, missing refills and not wiping the table. Fixed door stop for bathroom was fixed right in front of toilet meaning i stubbed my toe in the middle of the night. Front staff were very responsive to requests, with friendliness mixed. As always, bed comfortable and quiet.

Great location, and great price, in docklands area. Front-office staff were polite and helpful. We had a good-sized room with a balcony, and kitchenette. Only thing wrong was that the electricity key-card switch was temperamental and you often had to fiddle with it so that you could switch the lights on - very important in the bathroom :-)

Very pleased with my stay. Close to trams to get to the city quickly (50m). Close to shopping market and super market (200m). Close to go for a walk along the habour (50m). Very forthcoming reception. Only downside is I missed a real armchair for resting in the evening. Not just a normal chair. And even if you close the shower door, you get a lot of water on the floor outside. I would happily stay here again

I stayed in a studio room which is nice and clean. The problem is, these rooms are adjoining to other rooms. If you have noisy neighbors like I did, its best not to book these rooms.

Service was excellent! Eve was awesome upon check in she walked me through the tram system and gave great recommendations. Rooms were super modern and clean. I had a balcony with the view of the water from my room - was awesome sitting out there at night with tea and morning with coffee. I like the Docklands area definitely my vibe tucked away from downtown but a 5-10 minute tram ride to everything. I’m planning another trip to Melbourne in upcoming months (too many cool aspects of this city to be explored). I will only be staying at this hotel when I return as it was perfect: Location, cost, great waterfront restaurants, staff, and view. Honestly, would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the city if you like a more low-key peaceful feel.

The size of the 1 bedroom apartment felt spacious for our needs. Upon arrival, we found no teabags provided, so we asked reception, and they quickly provided us with as much tea as we would need for our stay. They also provided two umbrellas. Our swipe cards kept expiring after each day, which was a little annoying when it continued happening despite supposedly having it fixed. However, the front reception staff were really helpful and apologetic each time. We did request some more pillows (they were quite soft, which many might like, but we prefer thicker pillows). When we rang down to reception, they told us housekeeping had left for the day and it would be delivered the next morning when they returned, which was a little irritating as we needed it that night. Then, they did not get delivered the next day. We spoke to the same night receptionist and she then organised the delivery of 2 additional pillows within about 10 mins, which was great, but we were unsure why this didn’t happen the previous night. The size of the 1 bedroom apartment felt spacious for our needs. Upon arrival, we found no teabags provided, so we asked reception, and they quickly provided us with as much tea as we would need for our stay. They also provided two umbrellas. Our swipe cards kept expiring after each day, which was a little annoying when it continued happening despite supposedly having it fixed. However, the front reception staff were really helpful and apologetic each time. We did request some more pillows (they were quite soft, which many might like, but we prefer thicker pillows). When we rang down to reception, they told us housekeeping had left for the day and it would be delivered the next morning when they returned, which was a little irritating as we needed it that night. Then, they did not get delivered the next day. We spoke to the same night receptionist and she then organised the delivery of 2 additional pillows within about 10 mins, which was great, but we were unsure why this didn’t happen the previous night. Room was fine, fingerprints on glass etc but generally clean. Was told we would have to pay $55 for sheets for the sofa bed even though the room was booked for the correct amount of people. Too many trips to reception to sort. Took 3 messages to the property to only be told there was no parking available. Also lacking in room amenities like milk, tissue etc. Reception staff, but mostly the man, lacking in customer service skills, quite rude.

We didn’t appreciate how room service came at 5pm every afternoon when we were having down time or getting ready to go out. We had to request room service for the morning and when they did, they didn’t change the sheets to clean ones. We also wish we had a better viewing room and wish we had a balcony to go onto. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Quest NewQuay is ideally located in the Docklands within easy walking distance of Marvel Stadium and Southern Cross Station. Our studio apartment was very comfortable and provided everything we needed. Easy, secure parking next door and very helpful, friendly staff. We will definitely stay here again.

Super Lage in den Docklands. Günstigere Parkplätze sind auch im Umfeld zu finden. Das Hotel ist in einem sehr guten Zustand, der Balkon auf hohen Etagen ein Traum. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Mit der Tram kann man in dem Bereich sogar kostenlos fahren.

We had a really comfortable and enjoyable stay in Docklands. The accommodation was clean, well-appointed, and perfect for a relaxing break. I stayed at Quest NewQuay for one night during a business trip and found it very convenient. Having a bad experience at another hotel in a different part of Melbourne, this place was more to my liking. There were ample eateries, a grocery across the street, and, more importantly (since I was traveling for business), a laundry room that actually worked. My only critique was the rooms are a bit small and based on the pictures, I thought there was a washer and dryer inside the room (it's not). Also, there is no coffee bar on-site and no creamer in the rooms to make my own coffee to my liking but other than that; it was a pleasing experience.
