Room is great, but we called and sent messages for check in, got no response, then when we arrived, we wandered around in the pouring rain trying to find the place. Thankfully a neighbor took pity on us and was able to get ahold of the owner who then send someone to check us in.

The room was clean. The gentleman who brought us breakfast was welcoming and provided a lovely healthy meal.

Big problem: no check in. Stood in the street in the rain for 20 minutes while a kindly local shopkeeper phoned the B&B owner who sent a surly youth over to let us in. The B&B is not located on a public road, but rather in a warren of terraced mews that no one but a resident could find. When we politely asked the young man if he could help some of our elderly with their luggage, he scoffed, and said “You’re on your own” and stalked off. We never did meet the owner, or anyone else for that matter. The place is clean, but spartan, the beds are comfortable. Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros, as you may find yourself climbing dozens of steep cement stairs with your bags, uncertain of both your destination and your reception.
