SpringHill Suites by Marriott Chicago Chinatown

Came for a college reunion and found this place. Staff was super friendly. Room was clean and nice. Only complaint is the AC was a bit noisy and my room overlooked freeway which was a bit load at times. But something you might experience at any hotels in the city i guess. Love that all the restaurants are right outside and within walking distance. What did you expect being in the middle or Chinatown.

The hotel itself—and the room—were great. Clean, comfortable, and exactly what you’d expect from a SpringHill Suites. Unfortunately, the parking situation was extremely frustrating. The designated loading zone was consistently occupied by parked cars, making it difficult to find a place to stop and check in. When I called the front desk for guidance, I was told the loading zone was the only option. After explaining that it was full, the response I received was essentially, “Oh well, I don’t know what to tell you,” which was disappointing and unhelpful. The parking garage was also very difficult to navigate, with tight spaces and multiple cars trying to maneuver at the same time. It felt overcrowded and not well-designed for anything beyond very small vehicles. Overall, the hotel itself was great, but the parking challenges and lack of support from staff made the arrival experience stressful.

Breakfast was awesome and the staff did an amazing job keeping it stocked on a busy weekend. The only complaint I have is outside the hotel's control. The attached parking is a public parking garage that is very tight and fills up fast when there are events in town. The hotel doesn't own the lot so they aren't able to reserve it just for hotel guests. The room was perfect and everything was clean and tidy. We would come back! Front desk staff were also very helpful!
