Room was very dirty. Pillows were not changed, had hair on them, floors were dirty when dust clusters around the edges of the walls and corners. Roaches found in the bathroom shower. Outside our door hey garden area needed major tree trimmings.

I would not recommend staying at Maui Eldorado Resort. We stayed here from July 4–10 with our two young children, and it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Our first room had a strong moldy smell that was so overwhelming we were concerned it could affect our family’s health. After we complained, we were moved to another room. Unfortunately, the second room was even worse. As soon as we walked in, the floors were covered with small dead bugs. They were everywhere—on the kitchen counters, couches, beds, sheets, towels, bathrooms, and throughout the entire unit. When we opened the curtains, even more bugs came out from underneath them. We reported the problem immediately. The property told us housekeeping and pest control would come the next day. We couldn’t wait that long, so we swept and mopped the entire apartment ourselves. The following morning, the bugs were back. The floors were covered again, and live bugs were crawling around the room, including on the beds. Our children were scared and didn’t want to sleep because of the bugs. We contacted Expedia for help. The only option offered was to check out and find another place ourselves. During a busy holiday week in Maui, with two small children and no guaranteed availability elsewhere, that was not a realistic solution. We felt we had no choice but to stay. The apartment was old, poorly maintained, and unclean. The kitchen was so dirty that we didn’t cook a single meal there. The sheet
