Very clean and new hotel in the centre of Olhao. The train station is a 5 minute walk in one direction and the harbour a 5 minute walk the other way. The staff at reception were very helpful with information about the local area. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The rooftop pool is stunning.

Very new and modern hotel, great rooftop pool and bar. Our problem was we booked hotel because it offered "limited parking" " reservation not possible" to be told when we arrived that they only have FOUR parking spaces for the whole hotel! Of they were taken, they offered us street parking.

We had a great one week stay. Bed was incredibly comfortable and gorgeous shower room. Everything was modern and immaculately kept. Roof terrace and pool was good. However, we and a few other people felt the pool would benefit from a hand rail to help the less mobile people get in and out of the pool. Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. This is a town centre hotel, so don’t expect great views from your room, but the views from the roof terrace were stunning. It’s very centrally located and an easy walk to cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and the ferry out to the islands of the Ria Formosa Natural Park. We’d definitely recommend this hotel and will most certainly return.

Having stayed here three years ago with my husband and enjoyed it very much I booked for my sister and I to stay. I paid extra for a balcony thinking I’d have a similar view as my husband and I had had, overlooking the city rooftops, but no! Our ‘view’ was of the next door building and scaffolding and overlooking the ‘inside garden’ which is basically the smoking area, rendering the balcony useless to us. We asked to change rooms the following morning to be told they were fully booked and it wasn’t possible. Disappointing as a returning customer. The staff are all lovely and the cleaners excellent. The rooftop pool is great if you can get a sunbed! There aren’t that many and it was often difficult especially as some people left towels on them then disappeared for three or four hours, shame on them. The rooftop bar is very nice too though the cocktails are pretty poor tbh and for some reason the sangria was never the same twice! The beer is cold and refreshing and there are some nice snacks or lunches to be had. Nothing would stop me returning though and I will be back though I’ll double check which view I’ll be getting next time 🙂

Good modern hotel. Breakfast plenty of well stocked options. Rooms are a good size and modern and comfortable beds. Roof top with pool is a lovely space. Sunbeds at a premium at times but usually find one if you hang about. Staff very friendly and responsive prior to and during our stay .

Schöne Unterkunft mit tollem Design und super freundlichen Mitarbeitenden. Die Rooftop Bar und die Pool-Area sind toll, allerdings war der Pool (das Wasser) leider nicht so sauber, sodass ich auf ein Bad dort verzichtet habe. Sehr schade, weil das u.a. ein Grund für die Buchung dieses Hotels war. Ist allerdings auch eher was zum Planschen, 1,20m tief. Aussicht von oben ist trotzdem toll.

Everything about this hotel was amazing from the moment we got there. Friendly staff, beautiful rooms, amazing roof top pool and bar. The whole vibe is very chilled. Only negative is they don’t have food at the pool bar on a Monday which we weren’t aware of and that was our only pool day so had to go out to get lunch. We did find a lovely place so didn’t make a huge difference.

Spotless room. Room and hallway smelled fresh. cleaning was done everyday which was helpful. Asked for additional towels and had no problem getting it. They provide guidance on the ferry, train and places to eat. Really made my stay very comfortable. I really like the eco friendly decor as well.

Room was infested with ants on night one but after that everything was fine. No other room so we had to kill and clean all the ants ourselves. Lady from front desk was nice but did think it was odd that we ended up cleaning the room.

The staff were great, rooms were really nice and clean. Small things were not so great, like the pool would sometimes not be clean (although that could be because of the wind) and our en-suite coffee mugs were not replaced after we used them. All in all, really enjoyed our stay and would stay again happily.

I stayed for 3 nights and I couldn't fault it. The hotel is immaculate and nothing is too much trouble. Staff are really friendly and the rooftop bar and pool is a real highlight. I stayed in July and there was never a struggle for a sunbed. I stayed in a superior room which was clean and comfortable with everything I needed. On arrival one of the bulbs was flashing in my bathroom. I reported it to reception and it was replaced immediately. The front of house team were always happy advise about things to do in the area, transport etc. If I come back to Olhão I will happily return to the pure Formosa.

Beautiful budget hotel and great pool area on roof. Very comfortable bed and nice linen. Lovely staff-very helpful- fulfilled my request re high floor. Free parking available on streets nearby.The only problem I had was the noise at night from the road especially when the bin men emptied the bins after midnight and people shouting in the street even though we were on the top floor-not hotel’s fault though- all in all very good. Thankyou.

Superior room, comfortable and clean. Spacious balcony. Room cleaned daily. Comfortable bed. Only slight gripe, room was very warm but was unable to set the air con. Lovely front of house staff, special mention to Jessica who went above and beyond. Lovely rooftop pool/bar area, great location. Didnt have breakfast as im vegan and lots of choices along the marina. Highly recommend this hotel.

Our room was in the annexe and the balcony had no privacy and looked out onto a building site. The room itself was ok, but there was no ventilation in the bathroom. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the roof top pool/bar was great. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice.

Well-positioned hotel with small rooftop pool and bar area in the centre of Olhao near the ferries to Ria Formosa (a must visit but you must be prepared for a long walk). Our room was the only available when we booked and the wardrobe space was inadequate. The lady on reception changed our room after one day but choice was limited as it was August. We will return out of the holiday season.

this is a lovely little hotel which we have used on many occasions. Our mistake this time was booking a standard room which we found very small with no wardrobe ( only exposed hanging rail ). Will definitely book at least a superior room next time.

Modern und trotzdem gemütlich eingerichtetes Hotel mit toller Dachterasse inkl Pool. Das Hotel liegt direkt an einer häufig befahrenen Straße, weshalb man leider auch im Zimmer die Autos gehört hat. Sonst sind die Zimmer aber in einem Top Zustand. Frühstück ist ausreichend, könnte aber ruhig etwas mehr Auswahl sein (vor allem was laktosefreie/vegane Produkte angeht). Das Personal war durchgehend super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch der Service auf der Dachterasse ist toll und man fühlt sich sehr wohl.

La estancia muy buena, personal de servicio joven y amable, muy buenas instalaciones, decoración muy cuidada, buen gusto en todas las instalaciones. Mi única crítica se refiere a que no contestan los mails cuando tienen alguna cuestión y te quedas sin saber si tendrán en cuenta tus peticiones. También que deberían mejorar el control de las plazas para descargar las maletas pues tuvimos que aparcar lejos pues habían coches aparentemente que aparcan delante por costumbre.

Would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. From check in to check out the service was impeccable from the friendly staff. Check in was quick and easy and advice given on where to find free parking spaces near to the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful with a large choice. Pool side was great with a delicious day time menu. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean.

From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted by a lovely gentleman who checked us in. He provided us with local information about restaurants and made some wonderful recommendations. All of the staff at reception and housekeeping made sure we were comfortable and well looked after. The hotel has a relaxing rooftop area although we didn't use the pool due to weather conditions. The rooms and bathrooms are cosy and well kept.

While the room and hotel itself was well maintained, modern and comfortable they had no interest in trying to resolve our booking issue. In short we ended up being forced to pay for 4 rooms when we only wanted two. We were told we could only check in when we paid for all four despite having confirmed by email we only wanted two rooms three weeks before arrival. They dismissed our reasoning and the management hid behind their reception staff without engaging with us directly. No effort to negotiate or meet us half-way. We were very disappointed but they didn’t care. Hotels.com tried to reason with them but they still wouldn’t change their mind. Do not book here until their management changes

On arrival we have asked for an early check in possibility- no issues at all, Fernanda at the reception desk is an absolute super star! So nice and welcoming! On the day of the arrival, there was a blackout in Portugal, all staff were there to help and support during this difficult time. Every day there was someone to tidy the room and change the bedding, give clean towels. Room was very clean, modern design was very pleasant.

We had a good stay at this hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. They have a nice rooftop bar and pool. It was walking distance to the pier which had great restaurants. It was also close to the train and ferry. We loved this area!

Good location on edge of old town. Modern and stylish building. Rooms compact but with everything you need. Top floor deck area great. Staff very friendly and helpful. If rooftop bar did snacks it would have been perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pure Formosa. Everything was extremely well kept and clean. We only wished that the breakfast had a few more options like more alternative milks (oat for instance - Pure Formosa only had Soya, which almost no one uses these days in favour of better and tastier options like oat) and maybe alternative yogurts. Apart from this, all great! :)
