Puntarenas ist grundsätzlich nur bedingt eine Reise wert, so ist auch der Zustand des Hotel - der Lack ist ab, überall. Einzig der Pool war groß und sauber. Die Matratze schlecht, die Ausstattung heruntergekommen. Es war die schlechteste Übernachtung unserer Reise. Vermutlich nehmen Einheimische daran keinen Anstoss, sie sind froh über eine bezahlbare Unterkunft

In the first room they gave us, the TV remote didn't work & the shade on the window didn't go down. We were hot & tired from a long trip, but we had to wait while they played around in the room, to try to fix it. Finally, they moved us to another room. There, the hot water was just a trickle. I went to the pool in the morning. It was murky. I couldn't see the bottom. I was paying top dollar for what was a budget experience, at best. Not a good value. Would have to say, never again.

La ubicación del hotel es muy buena y debería ser mas utilizada. Varios aspectos le restan puntos,en las habitaciones no hay suficientes toallas en el baño,el agua de la piscina no estaba completamente limpia. Aspectos de seguridad en el acceso también deben ser tomados en cuenta. La calidad del desayuno no es el mejor,podrían mejorar en el menú y calidad.

First at all it says that is a Resort Casino four stars! It is not a resort and the casino is permanently closed. Its a three, maybe two stars hotel. The property looks old. The room also very old, barely keep mantainace. No hands towels. Wifi wasn’t working rigth.

Through out our stay, the water in the pool was murky and you could not see the bottom of the pool. This property says it has a casino---no casino. Also, there is no restaurant. The rooms were not clean and room security was terrible. This is one of the worst places we have ever stayed at!!!

My husband and I had a nice relaxing time, especially at the pool. The traditional breakfast was delicious and large portions. Hotel is dated but a decent place, the casino is closed. Entire staff was welcoming and courteous, will stay there again if I go back to Puntarenas (el Puerto).

Nous étions en avance puisque nous arrivons avec le bus. La chambre n'était prête qu'à 14h10. Il faisait super chaud .pas d'espaces pour attendre à part autour de la piscine . La vue de la chambre était magnifique sur l'océan . Chambre grande mais le minimum ... Une grande serviette par personne et pas de tapis de b'douche ou petit essuie main. Pas d'eau chaude ou café dans tout l'hôtel. Merci à la jeune femme du magasin qui nous a fait chauffer de l'eau pour le the' petit déjeuner : personnel très sympa mais nourriture banale .

Firstly, this is NOT a family hotel. We were shocked to see the condition of the room which is beyond description including AC not working, stained bed, extremely dirty and smelly bathrooms and most importantly NOT SAFE AT ALL.! The rooms did not have a proper lock. Most of the things mentioned on the hotel page are incorrect and false information. We had to just book something else in the last minute.

Del hotel muy poco positivo por resaltar, quizás la atención del personal, limpieza de la habitación y el desayuno, negativo mucho, el hotel es viejo y está descuidado, el mantenimiento parece ausente, la ropa de cama vieja, las toallas realmente lucen con exceso de uso, la cama con múltiples ruidos, el guardarropa demasiado pequeño y mal hecho. En fin la relación precio calidad es terrible, no vale la pena volver.

Hotel tiene una ubicación muy buena! Creo que podrían mejorar la limpieza. La atención de los que trabajan en el mostrador es muy buena! El restaurante deben mejorarlo en cuanto a la calidad de la comida y calidad de atención! Aparte de eso el resto fue bueno

This is more like a hostel than a real hotel, especially with the price you pay. Everything is old, not maintained. It is also loud as you are right on the street, and the windows are "open". The AC system is not efficient either. All this, while you pay high dollars for your room. Maybe if this was a $40/room, it would be ok

Great location, staff was very helpful, the breakfast was very good, beachfront and very close to the lighthouse which is a must go in your stay in Puntarenas.. The only thing that maybe need an improvement is the A/C unit in our room, the staff gave us options but because our stay was only for a night, we didn’t see the need for a change… I recommend this hotel if you’re looking for options in Puntarenas…

Excelente atención de recepción y guardas de seguridad. El personal de limpieza atento y muy amable, en el restaurante un poco lento el servicio pero amables también. La ubicación del hotel es muy buena! Frente al mar y muy cerca lugares seguros para caminar y comer a buenos precios y calidad. El hotel no es lujoso pero tiene lo necesario para descansar y no gastar demasiado.

Excelente atención de recepción y guardas de seguridad. El personal de limpieza atento y muy amable, en el restaurante un poco lento el servicio pero amables también. La ubicación del hotel es muy buena! Frente al mar y muy cerca lugares seguros para caminar y comer a buenos precios y calidad. Reception lady was unpleasant in general. Made us wear paper wristbands overnight like it was a festival or something. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast lady was lovely. Area has no attractions, museum is under renovation. No laundry service in town.

Horrible service, I couldn’t stay because they would not accept my service dog, even though I have the right paperwork, and legal paperwork for Costa Rica. I even asked before reserving. Very bad service. I hope EXPEDIA will refund me.

Llegamos cansados en la noche y la empleada fue muy grosera al decirnos que teníamos que esperar su "cambio de turno", estamos concientes de que se debe hacer pero la forma de indicarlo fue muy descortés, desesperada por irse, lo cual no es culpa de nosotros. La amabilidad nunca de más. El muchacho Marvin que la sustituyó, por otro lado, fue muy amable y es un recurso valioso para el hotel.

la antncion a la llegada en recepción no fue mala ,, LOQUE LE SIGUE .. un hombre sin deseos de trabajar y por la noche una mujer en la recepción y el mini super con pésimo trato , por la manana cambio de turno y fue igual , deben dar un curso del servicio a cliente en ese hotel , fue primera ves y por necesidad ya que el hotel fiesta estaba lleno y sin disponibilidad , pero NO lo recomiendo , para que le abran el parqueo es otro tropiezo ,mala. experiencia

Reception lady was unpleasant in general. Made us wear paper wristbands overnight like it was a festival or something. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast lady was lovely. Area has no attractions, museum is under renovation. No laundry service in town.

Great location, staff was very helpful, the breakfast was very good, beachfront and very close to the lighthouse which is a must go in your stay in Puntarenas.. The only thing that maybe need an improvement is the A/C unit in our room, the staff gave us options but because our stay was only for a night, we didn’t see the need for a change… I recommend this hotel if you’re looking for options in Puntarenas…

La ubicación del hotel es muy buena y debería ser mas utilizada. Varios aspectos le restan puntos,en las habitaciones no hay suficientes toallas en el baño,el agua de la piscina no estaba completamente limpia. Aspectos de seguridad en el acceso también deben ser tomados en cuenta. La calidad del desayuno no es el mejor,podrían mejorar en el menú y calidad.

Through out our stay, the water in the pool was murky and you could not see the bottom of the pool. This property says it has a casino---no casino. Also, there is no restaurant. The rooms were not clean and room security was terrible. This is one of the worst places we have ever stayed at!!!

My husband and I had a nice relaxing time, especially at the pool. The traditional breakfast was delicious and large portions. Hotel is dated but a decent place, the casino is closed. Entire staff was welcoming and courteous, will stay there again if I go back to Puntarenas (el Puerto).

Nous étions en avance puisque nous arrivons avec le bus. La chambre n'était prête qu'à 14h10. Il faisait super chaud .pas d'espaces pour attendre à part autour de la piscine . La vue de la chambre était magnifique sur l'océan . Chambre grande mais le minimum ... Une grande serviette par personne et pas de tapis de b'douche ou petit essuie main. Pas d'eau chaude ou café dans tout l'hôtel. Merci à la jeune femme du magasin qui nous a fait chauffer de l'eau pour le the' petit déjeuner : personnel très sympa mais nourriture banale .

If I had to rate it with one word would be DISGUSTING . I felt like I was walking into a horror movie. It was dirty, uncomfortable, and the pictures have nothing to do with the actual room. Don’t wast you le time or money. I wish I could request a refund
