Very clean. Most staff were friendly, we did have one grumpy lady at breakfast or first day. They were out of many of the breakfast foods when we went at 8:45 am. Wish there was a pool/hot tub. Overall it was good.

Didn’t like the parking situation, there is no self parking lot and it’s $60 per night to keep in on their property. Otherwise it was a pleasant hotel with access to laundry on-site and coffee/tea always available in the lobby, which was very cozy and nicely decorated.

Hotel itself is very good. Parking, however, needs overhaul. Outsourcing parking to PMC is horrible. Message from hotel on booking said $49/night. Upon arrival, valet insisted $65/night even when the price table posted on the lectern is $57/night. If you stay here with a car, park at Colonial Parking / Safeway lot 300 yards away for a lot less.

Despite some hiccups with my key card on this trip which uncovered that I wasn't properly checked on my first day, staff quickly took care of it. Breakfast options were good. I was surprised that there is only one washing machine and dryer. I was planning to use it but the washer was out of order due to tech issues. Relatively near Metro stations as the buses aren't as dependable. Great nearby dining options.

Hotel was clean, room was great. Breakfast was pretty good with a nice selection of food. Staff was friendly. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available 24/7 in the lobby. Parking is NOT included and was a separate charge from the hotel, valet only. It would have been over $200 for 3 nights for our SUV which is insane. we used SpotHero instead, parked in a garage a block away, and paid only $80 for all 3 nights. Do that if you can

Only stayed for one night, but had a great experience. Lashay was so helpful in getting us checked in early as well as adding on an additional room. They only offer valet parking, but the team was so responsive with the help of online communications. I could order my car before I leave the room and it was generally pulled up within 10 min. Coffee and hot chocolate were available 24/7 in the lobby and they offered a breakfast with options to suit everyone.

It was unexpectedly dirty. I was hesitant to set on the lobby bench as it was stained like crazy. The table was so dirty I couldnt place my cup over it. I am so disguseted. The bed was itchy all night. I am assuming it had bugs or something. I have itchy scalp and I am hoping I did not get some lice in my hair. Very bad indeed.

The hotel is conveniently located only a 25-min walk from the museums. Breakfast is provided, with options for everyone. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available all day, as well. The room is nice, too. The only issue is the cleanliness in the rooms; I feel that the rooms needed more than just a superficial cleaning. For example, not all garbage was picked up, the room was not dusted, and the sink and toilet were not even wiped.

On the website it said parking available when I booked the room, when I got there they said they only offered valet parking which I had to pay 70 dollars a night unexpectedly which would’ve been nice to know before hand. The fridge in the room halfway worked and the breakfast was not edible. There were also blood stains on the shower curtain. I’ve had better experiences at different hotels and I will make sure I never book this hotel again.

Room was decent, not a lot of light so room was dark even in the morning. Tv was slow and buffered a lot. Bathroom fan was very noisy and sounded broken. No hair drawer which was a big down side, also clothing iron didn’t work either.

Excellent! You may hear some traffic and loud music at night ...air conditioning was in a sensor I was hot at night! But for a 2 night stay it was great and location was excellent your able to walk to restaurants and main attractions!!!

Tons of rats running around the outside of the building but at least the inside was free of them. haha. But the staff here was incredibly rude and unhelpful. We asked for bedding for the sofa bed 3 times over two hours. At first we figured everything was busy due to a convention in town but then we called after another hour and they said they would bring it up. Another hour goes by and still no bedding so we had to call a 3rd time. At some point after two hours and 3 calls a man finally shows up throws the bedding at me and walks away. If you know the room is going to have 2 beds you could save the hotel time and just leave extra sheets and pillows in the room. This was certainly not a good value to service stay.

Love love all the employees of HI express!! Neville was so kind and took such good care of my car and he knew exactly who we were!! Such a fabulous human!! Antoinette at the front desk was soooo lovely! Always greeting us and seeing how are day was and if we needed anything!! We will def stay there again!!

The front desk clerk who checked me in, Cindy was very professional, friendly and courteous. Was there for a prostate cancer summit. Cindy is a great asset for your company. Compassionate, very appreciated. Dion who runs the breakfast there is great! Makes each guest feel welcome, and like a part of the family. Thanks to those two and the rest of your staff for making a cross country traveler feel like he was at home.

Front desk curly hair young lady extremely unprofessional and callous. Not trained to receive guest at front desk with her “ don’t care” attitude. Valet afternoon/ evening staff are vaguely walking around. On contrary morning valet and staff was much better. The senior guy at morning breakfast serving area needs to look tidy. And was extremely rude to a hotel guest and started verbal fight in the morning. Shocking !!

I was disappointed by this Holiday Inn because I’ve stayed in many before. The service at the front desk, particularly at night was terrible. They did not seem interested in doing their job but rather talking with their friends and ignoring the telephone. The day staff at the front desk was great, however. The breakfast was good overall, and the staff kept refilling it constantly so that was definitely a good part of the trip. The room itself was fine and I really don’t have any complaints. My one biggest complaint is we booked the hotel through hotels.com and because we didn’t pay immediately but rather chose to pay when we arrived, which was an option on the website, we were Charged additional fees per night, which I felt was very misleading. It took my husband two weeks to finally get an answer and we did not receive a refund. Overall, it’s a good location in the city, but they do need to work on transparency and hiring better staff for the evening.

The hotel is very clean. Close to the most important attractions in Washington. There was only one disappointing detail: the breakfast. They do not have enough space for all guests and the breakfast space is very crowded. Most people see the line and go to eat elsewhere. The poor ones spend about 20 minutes in the line, the see all tables taken and some eat in the reception area, some go back to their room or even eat on the floor. Often food is not enough for everybody, guest either need to wait more or just take what left.

For what it was.. we got what we expected. A place to stay on 4th of July after watching fireworks. After the display at the monument concluded the streets erupted with their own barrage of illegal fireworks. Breakfast was well attended and overwhelmed the entire lobby with patrons. A line that extended 50+ people was the norm for the better part of breakfast time. The staff did a pretty good job trying to maintain the levels of food consumption. Just too many people all at once. Really couldn’t enjoy it.. to be expected I guess. We’d likely spend a few more bucks next time for a different experience not in Holiday Inn.

The property is well maintained and the check in experience was super easy and well handled. Room was spacious md very clean. Super comfortable and enjoy the soft and firm pillow options. The breakfast was sufficient but the downfall was that they ran out of food more than 30 minutes before the breakfast service was supposed to end. Coffee creamers and machines were not filled until the next morning. The entire Service just needs to be more organized and serviced.

Very happy with this hotel its in a descent area of DC there's plenty of places to eat. Chinatown about 10 min easy walk as well as Convention center Metro stop or Gallery Place in China Town. Large room microwave refrigerator big bathroom and very clean. Breakfast is typical HI exp loads to choose from eggs sausage breads bacon pancake machine. I didn't write his name down Im so sorry but the man that runs the breakfast is a superstar. He talks to everyone made people of all types smile , gave me a good feeling going out that day. Well done ! Tea coffee in lobby all day and a machine in the room. Ill be back

We liked the cost of the hotel and the room was comfortable, but the breakfast was disappointing. We’ve stayed at several different express hotels, but having a broken pancake machine for our three night stay, often running out of milk/juice, and not having a variety of food or even fruit, made breakfast difficult with the kids. The area was okay, but far from the metro and no shops nearby. We had fresh towels everyday and the elevators were all working and fast. Staff was very friendly.
