Decent place for one night while hiking the Camino Littoral Route. Note that there are some rooms on the second floor and no elevator so if that’s where you’ll stay there are steep, narrow steps to negotiate.

This was the most disappointing stay in Portugal. I don’t understand all the great reviews. We booked a twin room with a river view. Our room was tiny, so small that two of us with packs could barely fit. We definitely couldn’t move around at the same time. The “river view” was a small window looking out over the river which you could only see if you stood up near it. The beds were the worst we’ve slept on. They were basically flimsy cots with old mattresses that were very uncomfortable and sagged in the middle. The beds themselves were so flimsy that they moved every time you turned over. The pillows were even worse. They were basically pieces of foam stuffed in a bag. This whole experience would have been acceptable if we had booked a hostel and paid appropriate prices, but for what we paid, we expected comfortable beds with real pillows. Extremely disappointing. I cannot recommend this place in any way

Lovely room in a great location. The owner gave me an upgrade to a double room with great views over the river. Close to the town. And a convenience store 3 minutes walk away.
