One of the two elevators was not operating all week. The floors in the rooms were dirty. There is no lounge area to relax at in the hotel. The roof top area is only open during meals. Great location, but poorly maintained. Would not stay here again.

The property was overall nice. The room was a bit small, but well decorated. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. A few issues we had...The A/C didnt work well enough to cool the room, so we had to sleep with the window open. The nightlife was too noisy to make that a comfortable nights sleep. The hot water had a pipe break, so we were without hit water one of the times we wanted to shower. It was fixed quickly though! One of the two elevators veoke down during our 3 night stay, so there was only 1. We had been on a 3 week vacation, and had stayed at many different hotels throughout europe. The breakfast was rhe least expensive by 2 euros, but the food was rhe worst quality we had had on our entire trip. We had had very good breakfasts at all the ither places, but the eggs here weren't worth eating, and the gentleman working up there was too friendly. The front desk clerk gave us VERY GOOD restaurant recommendatuons, so if you want tapas, or paella ask! They know great places!

This boutique hotel is in the middle of the tourist part of Barcelona steps away from restaurants, shops and Aerobus to the airport. We walked to Sagrada Familia church (amazing!) and it took us about 30 minutes. La Rambas is about 10 minutes walk, taxi ride to the beach aboit 20 minutes. This hotel has a roof top terrace with a restaurant that we visited but didn’t eat there. Great clean hotel - highly recommend it.

Rooms clean but there is a disco and bar on the top floor and customs get in by tailgating hotel customers entering or leaving and then they can go anywhere in the hotel which feels very unsafe. Disco noisy. Room had no shower curtain was moved but clearly the room had not had a curtain for a long time as floor stained. Room fine but stairs, carpets and walls of the rest of the building really dirty and worn and wripped - more like a hostel than a hotel. Staff really helpful and location excellent.

Great location. My room had a nice size and beautiful view. Bathroom clean, very good shower. I just wished they would clean the glasses in the room.. they would just get the dirty ones and put it back on the shelter..

Unterkunft war gut. Betten sehr bequem und die Lage war hervorragend. Einzig die Sauberkeit ( Zimmer war etwas staubig ) ist zu bemängeln. Wir würden das Hotel wieder buchen. Das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse war perfekt.

Very nice little hotel near Plaça Catalunya, so really close to the main points of interest. Our room was really small. Our room was also facing the back (a courtyard), which is good because the area is very noisy. Thanks to this we slept very well, it was really silent. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was all new, modern and very clean. Good hotel overall.

Great location! Walking distance from Las Ramblas, and Casa Batllo. Hop on and off tour buses starting routes are near by as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and had a beautiful view from our balcony. Breakfast on terrace was nice.

Camere belle, pulite e spaziose. Personale super disponibile e alla mano. La posizione è fantastica, al centro della città e con accesso della metropolitana di fronte all'ingresso dell'Hotel. Un unico piccolo appunto, per me non è stato un problema ma se avete il sonno leggero è consigliabile vi facciate dare una camera che non si affaccia sulla piazza di fronte perché Barcellona non dorme mai e rischiate di fare lo stesso anche voi.

My reason for 4 stars is only if you end up in certain rooms in the 5th floor. The property itself was lovely. Very clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Staff was very nice and welcoming. It is a very central location and we were able to walk to everything, with easy access to bus stops, subway, and taxis. There are 2 USB charging ports by the bed. The breakfast upstairs was wonderful. The balcony was spacious (not street side) and offered nice outdoor privacy. We couldn't hear the street sounds outside, but our room must have been right underneath the restaurant kitchen because there was constant banging/scraping sounds above us for all the hours the restaurant was open, which is most of the day from 7:30am-12:30am. My partner had a hard time sleeping all five nights we were there as a result (I wear headphones at night and didn't notice as much). That's why 4 stars for us instead of 5. If you don't end up in that room, or if you wear headphones/earplugs at night or aren't bothered by noises, I don't think you will have any problems, and I still recommend the stay because of how nice and convenient it is.

Very nice hotel! The only concern is some of rooms have shower and a toilet separately and it’s super inconvenient. Also the kettle was located on the table but there was no way to plug it in right there. I had to bring it by my bed side where the closest socket was in order to boil some water to make myself a tea. Other than that my stay was excellent. I really liked the size of rooms (changed two different rooms as I extended my stay). Even the small room felt like it had space and was perfect for solo travelers. Clean sheets, comfy bed, great location.

We were so happy with our hotel choice Sonder Casa Luz! The location was perfect - just close enough to good tourist attractions but also a "local" feel with all the university students around. Our check in was easy breezy. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows for those of you like me who need multiple pillows. Our view was fantastic and we had a little balcony just big enough to stand on or pull a little chair out on. Thank goodness for the soundproof windows because this is a bustling street but at night we didn't hear a thing. All of the staff was great, especially Joao, who gave us great recommendations. The shower was nice and big, unlike many of the hotels we stay in Europe. We also really liked they had a water filling station so we could keep filling our bottle every day. We appreciated the convenience of that and having less plastic waste than being given a couple of waters every day like many of the other hotels. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
We were so happy with our hotel choice Sonder Casa Luz! The location was perfect - just close enough to good tourist attractions but also a "local" feel with all the university students around. For a “4 star” hotel they didn’t even have a shower cap available in the room. Very few towels. Poor communication with staff.They didn’t have a phone available in the room and they didn’t tell me how to communicate with the front desk from the room. They charge me twice for taxes and I haven’t received a refund. It was clean and a good location.

The room was lovely and the staff were very helpful. The restaurant and bar on the top floor were wonderful. Only negative feedback and quite important - the cleaning staff tried to enter my room on 2 separate occasions during my stay. I had the privacy sign on my door handle, but on both occasions, someone knocked, I shouted 'No, someone's in here' and they still scanned their card and started opening the door. On both occasions this was between 9am and 11am (checkout is after 11am so no one should be entering at this time anyway). I was in bed and in the shower the times this happened and found it quite disturbing. I am not sure why they were entering the room at all if the privacy sign was on the door, never mind prior to the hotel checkout time. To note - this happened on a Friday and Saturday morning - I was staying until Sunday so was not a case of confusion over check out times.

Very close to Barcelona-Sants train station and Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat airport. Bolt/Uber rides were < $35 USD. Great location! Walking distance from Las Ramblas, and Casa Batllo. Hop on and off tour buses starting routes are near by as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and had a beautiful view from our balcony. Breakfast on terrace was nice.

Camere belle, pulite e spaziose. Personale super disponibile e alla mano. La posizione è fantastica, al centro della città e con accesso della metropolitana di fronte all'ingresso dell'Hotel. Un unico piccolo appunto, per me non è stato un problema ma se avete il sonno leggero è consigliabile vi facciate dare una camera che non si affaccia sulla piazza di fronte perché Barcellona non dorme mai e rischiate di fare lo stesso anche voi.

This boutique hotel is in the middle of the tourist part of Barcelona steps away from restaurants, shops and Aerobus to the airport. We walked to Sagrada Familia church (amazing!) and it took us about 30 minutes. La Rambas is about 10 minutes walk, taxi ride to the beach aboit 20 minutes. This hotel has a roof top terrace with a restaurant that we visited but didn’t eat there. Great clean hotel - highly recommend it.

This is my first time staying in Barcelona so I don’t have any other hotels to compare it with. That said this hotel was very clean and their staff were extremely friendly and helpful with requests, questions and recommendations. Big shout out to Ghiwa, Alejo and Marina! The room with a balcony lets you see the front streets which are quite busy but they have sound proof glass doors so that helps. Nice size room and bathroom but the small fridge is completely stocked so it doesn’t leave much room to store your own beverages. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the Plaça de Catalunya and The Ramblas. Note you are at the beginning of the strip. I would not recommend breakfast at the roof top restaurant although pretty, the hostess/manager was not welcoming nor friendly. He was judgmental about the amounts of small 6 inch plates taken and it’s a buffet! I had 3 small plates which is reasonable. Plus breakfast did not taste great at all. A better breakfast place is downstairs around the corner (connected to the building). Bar Estudiantil, cozy place with outside seating; Friendly staff and great coffee!

The property was overall nice. The room was a bit small, but well decorated. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. A few issues we had...The A/C didnt work well enough to cool the room, so we had to sleep with the window open. The nightlife was too noisy to make that a comfortable nights sleep. The hot water had a pipe break, so we were without hit water one of the times we wanted to shower. It was fixed quickly though! One of the two elevators veoke down during our 3 night stay, so there was only 1. We had been on a 3 week vacation, and had stayed at many different hotels throughout europe. The breakfast was rhe least expensive by 2 euros, but the food was rhe worst quality we had had on our entire trip. We had had very good breakfasts at all the ither places, but the eggs here weren't worth eating, and the gentleman working up there was too friendly. We had a lovely stay. Our room was lovely and clean and it was situated in a lovely part of Barcelona. A very disappointing part of our stay was our visit to the restaurant on the rooftop. The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful, they told us the rooftop was full, there were two tables full out of the whole restaurant and then tucked us away in the back of the terrace where no one came to take our order and we were left there for 20 minutiae. After that we left, so I would I recommend not visiting there if you want to have a nice time.

Such a cool place! We were upgraded to a terrace room, unfortunately it was raining, so we didn’t use it, but great room. Very spacious, clean, modern, chic and modern design. Really liked all the art and details. Water fill station in the hallway was very convenient. Wish we had stayed more than one night to enjoy the rooftop terrace. Lovely!
