Hotel Castro

Hotel muito bom , um pouco afastado mas de carro rapidamente se chega ao estacionamento E0,50 por dia.Muito bom. Pessoal atencioso , fomos muito bem atendidos Café continental muito bom.

Arrived on a sunday for a 2 night stay no restaurant or food availability on Sunday restaurant was open Monday Only one persons on reception who had to manage the bar and reception and take food orders in the restaurant. He worked hard but Needless to say 15 minutes for a drink?? 3 coach full of people doing the pilgrims way. Food was available for them but not us had a 40 euro round trip to the town for food. In general a good hotel but dont araive on a sunday

My wife and I stayed here for one night before an early morning flight back to the UK after a glorious week touring Galicia in a rental car. The hotel is not exactly in the most attractive area but the location was very convenient for us being less than 15 minutes drive from the airport and a similar distance to the heart of Santiago de Compostela, where we visited for a second time in the evening. It would be a good base if not wanting to stay in the hustle and bustle of the city with plenty of car parking. The hotel and our room was very clean and comfortable and we appreciated the fridge in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful and all in all it was very good value. We did not use the cafeteria as we were only there for a short while and had to check out at 04:30 in the morning for an early flight home. The only problem we experienced was that my wife is disabled and confined to a wheelchair with only one leg. There is a tiled ramp to get access to the front upper steps but it was quite steep and it felt like it was initially built as a baggage ramp, although there is a good handrail if required. To get from the front upper steps into the hotel, a small metal ramp was provided with a handrail on one side, but again it was quite steep and on first entry my wife’s front wheels did lift up into the air causing some consternation. The staff were very helpful and were quick to offer their physical help for further entries & exits, which was appreciated.

The hotel is a bit older but keep clean and spacious, staff are friendly and helpful, but not much choice for eating but a big fruit market just right in front of the hotel 👍. Price are reasonable too.

En medio de la noche se intoxico el aire de la habitación haciendo que debamos evacuar con picor en ojos, labios y lengua, todo hacia pensar que era el aire acondicionado central, por lo que debimos despertar a varios del piso para asegurar que estuvieran a salvó de los mismos síntomas o peores por estar dormidos. Nos ofrecían cambiar de habitación sin que se conocieran los motivos de semejante inconveniente, Algo que por temor y falta de garantías no estabamos dispuestos hacer. Cuando descubrí que había explotado el frigo desprendiendo un líquido oscuro nauseabundo y que eso era el causante de esa contaminación extrema del aire, recién ahí aceptamos el cambio ya que hasta ese momento la opción era irnos del hotel a otro a la 1:30 hs. Adicionalmente puedo decir que el WIFI SOLO ME FUNCIONÓ en el pasillo y en la planta alta y nunca funcionó dentro de las 2 habitaciones que por fuerza mayor me alojé (207 y 214 creo la 2da.) La calefacción un fiasco en ambas también. Solo ventilación y ruido. Para colmo en el lío de cambio de habitación en medio de la noche, olvidé una toalla personal. Todo mal, una pésima experiencia. Para agregar... en medio del problema vino la guardia municipal, con mucha liviandad y sin entender el porque aún? NEGABAN la contaminación dentro de la habitación cuando hasta el propio dueño del hotel admitía en ese mismo momento que era imposible de soportar al punto de ni siquiera poder entrar a buscar nuestras pertenencias.

Hotel propre et spacieux. Grande chambre, mais insonorisation moyenne. Petit déjeuné moyen. Restaurant, peut mieux faire !

This hotel was advertised on Hotels.com as being 0.8 km from Siguero, as I was on foot doing the Comino Inglés, which is why I booked it. It isn’t, it is almost 6 km from Siguero. Other than that, they have no restaurant (closed on weekends) no vending machines, no water, no coffee, etc. Furthermore the air conditioning is non existent, it will turn on but never cool the room, also I reason I booked this hotel.

Tiene una zona llamada Sala Caribe, que por las noches hay fiesta y se oye como si estuvieras en ella: musica alta, gente hablando alto tanto dentro como en la puerta de la sala, los focos que estan en la puerta tienen tanta luz que da directo a las habitaciones.... ¡Un horror! No repetiria.

Ottima soluzione per chi arriva in macchina x visitare Santiago. A 5 munuti di auto dal centro semplice da raggiungere. La camera è dotato di tutti i confort e accessori, letti belli grandi

The hair dryer is way too old. I couldn't dry my hair. It was so noisy and the wind is too low.

La habitación es muy amplia y cómoda. Por la parte trasera del hotel puedes acceder al Bosque Encantado, un paraje único y mágico donde perderse.

Está muy cerca del aeropuerto y para ser de 3 estrellas está muy cómodo y buenas camas. Perfecto para ir de viaje

llegué a última hora porque iba unos días de trabajo por la zona y descansé muy bien, desayuné y la ducha y la atención, todo correcto!

Todo, el hotel, la habitación, el personal bien amable, el servicio, el desayuno excelente. Mi esposo y yo lo pasamos muy bien. Tuvimos una linda experiencia en Santiago de Compostela y en el Hotel Castro. Volveremos a quedarnos en el mismo hotel cuando regresemos. Está fuera del area de mucho ruido pero solamente entre 10 y 15 minutos de la Catedral. Nos encantó con el respeto que el personal de la cafetería trató a los peregrinos del camino. Bueno, todo estuvo de maravilla.

Wanted to say thank you for the receptionist that was working this morning 21/09/24 . She called me a taxi and after 30 minutes with it no one showing up after she called the taxi company said they didn’t know how long would takes. So she asked a friend to take me to The train station bc I was going to miss my train to Madrid. That was such a amazing thing to do… thank you so much

It is very secluded, and private.

After a lot of activity it was nice to be in a quiet location. Lack of public transport is a negative, but it fulfilled our needs.

Si visitas Santiago con tu propio coche, es muy recomendable por la relación calidad precio. Volvería sin duda.

It’s not in down town but very close. Aprox 12 min away.

Struttura in una posizione tranquilla a pochi km da Santiago. Peccato che in aprile il ristorante sia chiuso il sabato e la domenica. Ma ci sono alternative abbastanza vicino.

Very lonley surround

It was hard to find the hotel. It is located off the road and the GPS was talking us around in circles.
