Cliff Lodge and Spa

Property was nice quiet, clean rooms, great outdoor heated pool and 3 hot tubs. Very convenient for skiing as it has indoor lockers assigned to each room and is ski-in/ski-out. I wish the pool had some covered area that one can leave their towels in a dry place when it is snowing. What could be better is events in the hotel. It would have been nice to have something for New years Eve in the atrium open to all guests. The only new year Eve option was 21 in the Aerie Lounge (not family friendly). Also the food is on the expensive side (soups are $16, sandwiches $20 ) Otherwise I think it is the best option to stay in Snowbird

The room service did not clean the room every day. The elevators were not always working.

The Cliff Lodge is a nice place to stay. The property is under renovation and so noise and mess from that construction are a slight problem at present. They have also made the Spa area, Spa pool and Spa gym completely inaccessible except for if you pay a large fee which is sad because we have enjoyed using those facilities in the past. The family pool and hot tubs are very nice.

Awesome location! We valeted for $20 a day but a free lot was offered too. They were awesome and super helpful with holding our luggage a few times. We were able to check in early which we were grateful for! The atrium was great, but it was closed at 5pm one evening and one afternoon around 12. Super bummed about that. The hot tub was shut down one night but seemed to resume normal operations the next day. Seventy one was cool. Got the vibe they’re very understaffed—unfortunately the service/food time reflected this. But as a previous server, I totally get it so all good. Overall a great hotel! Not a ton of food/bar options in Snowbird but it’s a small town. If you’re here to ski, this is the spot. Book early, they fill up!

I’ve stayed here many times. The view and pool with hot tubs are family favorites

The property was fine. The parking isn’t easy. The restaurants should stay open later then 10pm, especially the bar area should least stay open tell 1:00am. Overall it’s a great resort.

We loved the ski valet team and ski lockers and were very comfortable with the room and other amenities. The inlodge dining options were fabulous and many more were a short walk away. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Snowbird!

I stay up here at least a few times per year to enjoy the views and the October Fest! Great times and great facility!

I expected more for the price, in room coffee machine didn’t work. Everything was very expensive.

The room service did not clean the room every day. The elevators were not always working.

For the price I just expected more. Sink and shower didn't drain. Low water pressure from the shower head. Half the water came out of the bath spout. No conditioner came out of the dispenser. I had to take off the lid to get some out. That being said, service was great at the 1971 bar. There was one server that was amazing. She was on the floor and was able to get my CAL football game on the TV. She was great. Views were amazing. I would stay here again but hope some upgrades and/or renovations and maintenance happen.

Love the accessibility to the slopes, hotel restaurants, ski lockers and overall feel of the hotel. The staff is very friendly. I also appreciated the possibility of a late check out. The rooms are a bit dated and not as well maintained (sink was clogged in one room, toilet in another) and the pool advertised on the website is at an additional charge which felt a bit scammy… especially for the price of the room. Overall enjoyed the stay but few upgrades would make the experience better!

Beautiful resort. The views are amazing. The staff is friendly. The restaurant was excellent. The only negative are the drains in the bathroom are slow and they back up.

Absolutely magical stay at The Cliff Lodge. The Atrium for breakfast created core memories and we caught the last weekend of Oktoberfest. Staff was so kind, valet was quick, and resort was top notch clean—we will be back!!

We love coming up to Snowbird for a local\'s staycation but I don\'t know why we keep paying so much for really run down rooms. The furniture is old and outdated and many of the screws are loose, maybe housekeeping just carry a screw driver and tighten things up? Is that really too much to ask? But the real kicker was that the bathtub wouldn\'t drain so we didn\'t end up using the shower/tub at all because who wants to shower/bathe in gross water knee deep? When I told the front desk they didn\'t seem to care beyond "sorry." Really, that\'s it? We pay a lot for your rooms, and not only are they old but now we can\'t even bathe in it? Wow, turn me over and just steal my money...oh wait, you already did.

Loved being up in the mountains!

Staying at the Cliff Lodge during Oktoberfest is definitely a splurge, but my family always looks forward to it. Great outdoor pool with hot tubs, lovely outdoor patio at SeventyOne, simply beautiful mountains, and reasonable valet parking as guests of the hotel. The beds looked beautiful, but none of us slept well with the giant fluffy cube pillows that didn’t flatten out at all; however, we look forward to staying at this hotel again next year. Worth it. If I were to have two recommendations for hotel management, they would be 1) offer flatter pillows either on the beds or in the closet, and 2) Offer specials for hotel guests who want to enjoy festivities at Oktoberfest, at the restaurants, etc. I always appreciate it when hotels give that little extra even if it is a voucher for a few bucks off of the tram or kids activities in the area.

The beds were horrible. We could not sleep. Have been trying to contact the management via email to offer feedback and also offered feedback on checkout. That was the only thing wrong though. Lovely place

Always a great Mountain View!

Absolutely awful stay at this supposed 4-star property. The property is beautiful and the massive atrium impressive, but that's about all the upscale benefit you will get. The room was spartan and cheap, worse there was no heat. The entire heating system (electric baseboard) was off. The room never got above 63 degrees, freezing the whole time. And we were awakened at 8:15 AM by housekeeping banging on the door and then barging into the room. Our group dinner at the pricey rooftop Aerie Restaurant was an unbelievable disaster. Despite there seeming to be adequate staff and the place only about half full, our group of 10 got a round of drinks, but then wasn't able to even get an appetizer or food order in for almost another hour the service was so awful. We then, after leaving our table to walk in to the adjacent bar to be able to get another round of drinks ourselves, waited another hour for food to start showing up, but the entrees were served in serial fashion a few at a time, with the last entree served so late that it was simply boxed up for the person to just take to the room after over 3 hours of waiting. We literally were getting ourselves water and cutlery and glasses and whatnot from the server's stations. If you are going to drop almost $400 per night per room and $150 or so for dinner and drinks don't even think about doing it here. Stay at Alta and come on down and sit in the super-cool atrium with a boxed lunch and a tall boy and save your money!

Location was good. Close to Peruvian lift and tram. Walk out and ski/ride down to the lifts and tram. Far from gad lifts. Once you get to the gad area, you have to take a long traverse to get back that isn’t very easy to follow. It’s kind of difficult to navigate at first. Food options are lagging. They have a restaurant called seventy one that is open all day. Very average with sub par service. I found sitting in the lounge area is where you get the best service. The Aerie is a fine dining restaurant on the top floor. Only open for dinner. Service is slow but food is pretty good. I did not try the atrium but that one is available too in the morning. The spa is ok, very average nothing special. Lots of families and kids running around.

The staff was very dry not friendly or informative. We chose to stay here because of the spa the sauna was the biggest draw for us. The spa just re-opened after maintenance and the sauna wasn't working at all staff said they would reset it and should be working within 30minutes of resetting. Checked back multiple times and it was never the case.

We had a great time, and the kids enjoyed the rides and activities at the Snowbird Center. The hiking and tram ride to Hidden Peak at 11,000 ft was breathtaking! Fantastic property with friendly staff and excellent service. Five stars!

Such a beautiful fun place to go. Hotel was great. Steak pit is so good! Also my favorite place to ski!
