Hotel is perfect for those who prefer to stay away from the busy part of town, while enjoying the convenience of wide variety of restaurant options nearby and easy access to public transportation. City bus to and from airport stops right at the hotel. MTR station and minibus stops within 10mins walk. Hotel is clean and well maintained. A plus was the self-operated laundry room on the 3rd floor.

We enjoyed the stay very much. The safe inside the room is a very nice feature; before we go, I wasn't sure per the online description because it describes both front desk safe and in-room safe, didn't know which one is true. Just one thing: they didn't turn on the heated pool function and that's a disappointment; the whole time we stayed there, it's not hot Summer so we didn't actually use it much at all because it's not heated, heated pool is a part of the selling point / attraction (especially the night skylight view) to us.

Beautiful hotel. Very tall ceiling with nice views of the mountains. Had a terrace on the 3rd floor where I brought my 1yr old to exercise. Rented a bicycle to side along the river as well, very scenic ride. We will be staying in the same hotel again next time.

Room was filthy with previous guests hair all over the carpet and layer of dusts on all area. Hotel also uses scents on all floors, which is too overwhelming for us. Room’s air conditioner was weak as it never goes below 22C over a two weeks period, no matter what you set on thermostat. Body wash and shampoo are no name brand which is unusual for a 4-5 stars hotel, we ended up getting our own body wash after a few days as it causes itchy skin. Location is terrible with very limited public transportation around and far from MTR or major transportation hub. Other than their hotel’s own cafe and restaurants, there is only one store within a 10 minute walking radius. Staff are friendly and professional even with demanding hotel guests.

這間酒店一開始我便每年入住，但有些以往有的房間設備現在沒有了，電視沒有投屏功能，熱水會忽冷忽熱，蓮蓬頭有點上不緊水會亂滴，清潔度也開始鬆懈了，職員態度是很好的，但是如果每次進房間都要請他們來補清潔修東西，會覺得很麻煩。

Comfortable bed, black out curtains and as I was on the 26 floor no issue with sound from traffic. Clean, responsive staff and great shower which is always something I look to mark on a hotel. I commented to staff when checking out that I thought I could smell cigarette smoke from a nearby room. No signage to say no smoking allowed which they may want to remedy. Disappointed that the pool was closed - for a Brit, the weather is not too cold for an outdoor swim! All in all though, recommend with Shek Mun MTR about 8 mins walk away and nearby places to get food from there, is convenient place to be based - not too far from Kowloon and near to the New Territories plus access to Luowu, one of the HK/China crossing points.

We really enjoyed our stay. Nice modern room with fabulous river view, very comfortable bed. The room is spacious, functional with lots of storage. There is a small dining table with chairs and microwave so we could enjoy a light meal comfortably. There is water station, self serve laundry. All the staff are so courteous and helpful. The location is quieter with easy access to city center. 10 minutes walk to subway and restaurants. Hotel provides shuttle service to subway stations too.

The location is excellent that is walkable to city one and its train station. The room is clean and tidy and quiet The view is very nice The pillows are excellent My mum told me that buffet is very good value for the money. Unfortunately I didn’t have a chance to try this time. I definitely want to try on my next trip. I definitely will revisit again. It will be excellent if the hotel offers some kind of rewards program for regular guests.

Most of the comments are on the food, especially the buffet. However, we found the services are underrated especially the thoughtfulness of the house keeping staff. We found it quite cold one late evening and asked for extra blankets, but the staff sent us a heater instead as they’re afraid that we’ll catch a cold when we get out of bed! The staff serving in Alva House are very helpful, friendly and attentive. To conclude, we enjoyed our 9-nights stay at the hotel.

A bit far away from MTR for elderly like us. Luckily, there is subtle bus to to go the nearest MTR station. The 7 Eleven store is a blessing with good supply of necessities.

The bus stop from HK Airport goes directly to the property when you take the A41, making the trip from the airport a breeze. There's a lovely river accessible by pedestrian tunnel without having to cross the street, though crossing the street is not bad either. The River has parks that are open from 7am to 10pm for a nice walk / exercise. (I did 7 miles along the river each morning before shops opened)

空港からバスA41で乗り換えなし、小1時間でホテル前に着きます。安い(24ドルくらい)し便利でした。 MTRは第一城駅を利用しましたが駅前にショッピングモール、スーパーなどありかなり便利でした。ホテル1階にセブンイレブンがありますが営業時間が 7-23でした（笑） 4連泊、部屋は最上階眺めは向かいのバスターミナルの屋根でしたが広くてキレイ快適な滞在でした。朝食ブッフェも良かったです。コスパgoodでした。

Very modern hotel with full facilities at a very good price. The subway is only a 10 minutes walk away and can get you to the central in half an hour. It is only a few stops away from the major Shatin malls with lots of shopping and food options. Would definitely go back again in the future.

Liked rooms as they were modern and comfortable with very good bathroom facilities. We didn’t like the fact that the bars and restaurants seemed to close so early - we feel as a resident of the hotel we should have been able to purchase a drink at the bar at least until 01.00 am.
