The Sands Barbados - All Inclusive

Staff was nice and attentive. Food is pretty good, normal for an all inclusive. Would recommend meals off-premise too just to change it up. Pool and beach are outstanding, but they should do a better job with guests 'reserving' pool beds and hardly ever being there. They need more beds around the pool. Check-in was a little tricky, but they do provide amenity usage and drinks/snacks if you're early. I'd go back, but its a 4 not a 5 star experience. Still very good value considering. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the Gap & Dover

Liked: Beautiful setting and grounds and beach within a few steps. Staff was friendly, positive, and accommodating. My family suite's balcony had a perfect view of the pool and beach in the distance. Disliked: Living room area was not air conditioned (although this was made clear in description of the hotel). Air condition was only in the two bedrooms. My son was hot sleeping in the bed placed in the living room next to a floor fan. Family of 5.

Beautiful beach and the staff was very friendly

Great place ! Quiet after doors closed. Great tour, nice staff, if you needed anything just had to ask. They accommodated whatever you didn't like. Just overall great beach, great place.

My friend and I went to The Sands Hotel for 5 full days. The service was really good, staff was attentive, the breakfast, lunch and dinner options were great! The drinks were good too, try their rum punch! I would recommend The Sands for a nice and relaxing stay. The beach in front was very beautiful! Very safe place.

Breakfast and was outstanding. Dinner option could be improved. The beach view was excellent. Bar service was good. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Need better fans in te room areas that doesn't hace A/C.

The hotel property is kinda small but the rooms are big. I love the rooms. Its very spacious and it has kitchenette, living room & dining like an apartment. The beach is amazing... a but small but beautiful white sand and clear turquoise water. Swimming pool is a bit small though. Not much food selection but it is tasty. Just wish they have more fruits. And I hope they would hire more friendly and approachable staff, specially the waitresses.

Overall, it was a good experience. Nice place. Clean and well maintained. I wish food choices were better. My biggest disappointment was the coral riff around the hotel in dead so no marine life to observe around the hotel. However for $2 can take a small bus up north to find some fish around sunk ships and large boulders.

Rooms were clean, food was average, bar was slow, didn’t like that mice were running around outside while trying to have dinner.

The manager was very friendly. The property was very well maintained. Was unable to get into the spa, but the time on the beach was lovely. Probably more fitting for much older guest, but definitely relaxing. The food was not good especially for island cuisine. We did not feel like the overall weight staff or resort staff was very welcoming. I'm not sure if it was because we were LGBT or not, but it felt very unpleasant so we spent most of our time in our room or off the resort. It is a beautiful resort. It has great access to the beach with a beautiful sunset. The rooms were very clean and well stocked for the most part minus wash clothes.

For the price I’ve paid for an all-inclusive resort the food and drinks were terrible. The restaurant Noir dress code is too strict. all white sneakers was unacceptable, no shorts allowed, skin can’t be showing while wearing a dress or skirt. Just entirely too much. Very disappointing experience

Upon arrival to The Sands, we were greeted by friendly staff and offered a cold welcome drink of choice with instructions for an easy and quick self check in process. As we arrived prior to check in time, our room was not quite ready, but we were offered lunch and were invited to start enjoying the many amenities available to all guests. After a short wait, we were assisted with our luggage to a beautiful two bedroom ocean view suite with a separate living and dining area. Suite was presentable and clean. Breakfast, which was a buffet, offered a variety of options including scrambled eggs, cheese, vegetables, fruit, yogurt, cereals, breads or eggs cooked fresh any style. Fresh juices, coffee and tea was available. At breakfast you would reserve a time for lunch and supper. Supper varied from buffet to A La Carte. As my spouse and I are on the go individuals, we rarely booked our meals as our days were usually booked exploring Barbados, however, the staff was very accomodating if we ended up back at the resort without a reservation for supper. The bar staff was great, offering a variety of cocktails, wine and beer. The beach was beautiful with clear turquiose water and white powdery sand. Although we visited during a very abnormally windy week, you could enjoy a safe swim to cool off. The Sands gave us a true sense of island life. It reminded us that we need to slow down and enjoy life. Thankyou to The Sands and staff for making us feel at home, away from home.

The staff at the sands were excellent, from Monika and the guys at the Front desk to Tracia Ann and Onisha in F&B. The girls and Dwayne in the bar made our experience in Barbados much more comfortable. Our rooms were well kept and the food was good. Noir on the roof top gets an A . Thank you for a wonderful service and we will definitely be back.

Lovely beachside location and facilities - but very near to busy road. Excellent dining and restaurant staff. Rooms very plain and a little disappointing. ‘Sea View’ description is rather misleading for the rooms close to reception.

Dual level condos... with air conditioning ONLY in the bedroom. Was muggy and not great. The service staff was great. But who wants to be on the equator with weak air con in the bedroom only?

Check-in was awful! Chec-in at the hotel starts at 4, so why was our room not ready until 6PM? We waited at the reception for 2 hours, very ridiculous! When we did get given the room it was awful so they swapped us to a lovely room. However, check-in was particularly appaling, a lot of waiting and faffing

Check In service was horrible.. Rude and not helpful.. ONCE YOU SAY YIUR FROM NY they already looked at you differently, as told to me by multiple Cab Drivers.. SAY YOU ARE FROM ELSEWHERE.. just not New York.

Management of this hotel need to work on the following: 1. Customer service esp at the front desk and dining area. Cyrelene is the only hostess who does it well. 2. Security guard does not do anything - made a complaint about loud local kids who hit my beach chair and guests smoking near my beach chair. 3. Smoking is allowed everywhere and around kids but they have a designated area for smoking near the pool. You can be relaxing at the beach enjoying the fresh air and someone next to you is smoking. 4. Website mentioned 2 places to eat. The big dining area only serve BUFFET for BREAKFAST and the a la carte portion is small. The 2nd restaurant is a one time deal for every 7 days stay. Open Mon - Thur dinner only. We reserved Monday night and was not allowed to eat because we were wearing flip flops but we wear dress well. 5. My husband ordered fried eggs since he was vegetarian and was given an attitude by the cook but she apologized. The following staff want to mention for their service: Simona Shamar Destiny Tamari Amari Sherika Antonio Cyrelene Romario Upon arrival at the hotel I said to my husband we will visit Barbados every year and will stay at this hotel. Not great - At check in we got there at 12 but "check in wasnt until 4" so the girl checking us in said we can buy a day pass to use the amenities, luckily my wife stepped in before i blew my top and asked if they can make an exception since we were only 4 hours away from check in time, which they ended up doing for us. Food was below average at best with no quality control because each time you ordered the same thing it was completely different. The beach was small and covered in seaweed, even in cancun they clean the seaweed daily on a beach 5xs the size. The hotel was also getting work done it would have been nice to know that ahead of time. The room was nice we had an ocean view. I will say they accomidated our reservation because our trip was pushed back a day due to weather and they switched dates to help us so that was greatly appreciated, their reservation department is about the only great thing with this hotel.

My stay at The Sands Barbados All Inclusive was very nice! I needed a quick weekend escape and this spot was perfect. The location was ideal — just a short walk to St. Lawrence Gap, with easy access to the Friday night fish fry and even a cozy lounge nearby. The food was delicious, the drinks were solid, and there was plenty of seating on the beach. Everyone was so friendly, which made the experience even better. Big kudos to Kemar, one of the standout staff members. He was absolutely great! I’ll definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Sands. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. The food and beverages were good and the beach was wonderful! The place was comfortable and a great area to walk around with other beaches close by.
