Train drives by often, it's next to the tracks. Very old and run down. But, comfortable and cheap, if you're just looking for a bed. All rooms are on the second (third) floor, no elevator, stairs only. Decent location, Walmart and lots of restaurants, etc, are across the street.

The property was very old looking and outdated. There was no elevator. The property is beside the CP railway so there were many trains passing throughout the day that were quite loud. In the room, the light was very dark which made the room look creepy. The window latch was very loose and I was afraid it would fall off. One of the baseboards of the wall was broken and the AC barely worked because the vent was dirty and dusty. The bed was poorly made but surprisingly comfortable although we were uncomfortable getting under the covers. I noticed one of the towels was stained and I didn’t see any towels big enough to shower with. The toilet kept flushing for hours until it eventually filled back up and the overall look of the bathroom looked old and uncared for. The internet was not bad, although we struggled a bit with the internet connection while using the TV. Lastly, the front desk hours are from 8:00am - 12:00am therefore we had to switch our departure time from 6:00am to 9:00am since we couldn’t check out before 8:00am due to no staff. This I wasn’t made aware of upon check in. - The lady who did our check in was polite and helpful. The man who did our checkout was an also polite. Both check in and check out were very smooth and quick and we received our deposit back immediately. The hotel was close to transit and locked after 12am. Entry only with room key for security which I appreciated. We stayed one night and it had our basic necessities so I am content. Thank you!

Room is big and clean. But the carpet on the stairs is stained and look dirty. Other than that, my stay is pretty good

Fluffy room, not too neat. Uncomfortable bed. Worst of all Heavy noise from Cargo trains. Its like the trains are passing through the rooms. Couldn't sleep all night. Train passes every couple of hours. The front desk staff is good and friendly. The rooms and the noise only is my problem. Not recommended if you really need a queit place to rest. It is budget friendly. Enough parking spots.

I can’t complain. This property was the most economical among the motels/inns available. The staff were excellent. The building needs renovation. With no elevators, all clients must be able to walk two or three floors to reach their rooms. I stayed three (3) nights in this Inn. Because I was desperate to save cash, the 1st two nights were okay. I know that I’ll just be there to sleep and do errands. When I came back for a week trip, I was asked to take the highest floor. The room was clean. But you can smell the old carpet, see the wear and tear.

This is not accessible for mobility impaired. There are no ground level rooms and no elevator to the rooms.

It was an acceptable stay. The only view we had was of the train tracks. But other than that is was comfortable.

Our room and the whole hallway stunk of cigarettes. It was not thoroughly cleaned. There was a hole in the bathroom door. The outlets near the bed did not work. There were several trash bags in the hallway that were not picked up for a couple hours. There's no restaurant in the hotel and no continental breakfast. The hotel is very small and cramped. There are train tracks directly behind the hotel. Overall very dissatisfied.

The room I got wasn't even clean. The carpet was dirty, the furniture, wasn't moved to be vacuumed, there was a lot of dust and dirt, the toilet was wobbly, the bathroom the walls and doors look like they haven't been clean in a while the tub is stained. There were cops pounding on the doors the first night. There is only one window a small one. It felt like a dungeon. Well housekeeping was cleaning other rooms. It seemed like those rooms clean and updated. The rooms that are not updated and still has carpet. Keep those rooms block until you renovate them. I wouldn't even put a homeless person in there. I think everyone deserves a roof over their head

very unclean, garbage and dirty sheets thrown down the entire hallway, awful cigarette smell, room and bathroom looked as if it was never cleaned (netherhair on toilet seat and bed), window being boarded off, etc. just don’t bother staying here, pay an extra $50 somewhere else

Was an absolute dump. Train kept us up all night, sheets were yellow stained, floors haven’t been mopped for months, bathroom stink more than a bathroom should with the toilet not being cleaned, the whole room smelled of cigarettes. Would not stay again

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Had to ask for a remote for cable and a plug for the bath. Our bath resulted in a flood to the suite below us. Condoms found in the tv stand. Entire place smelled.

The most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed in, spit and boogers all over the wall, windows boarded up staff incredibly rude felt very unsafe.

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience at the Economy Inn. From the moment I entered the room, I was immediately struck by how dirty and unkept it was. The floors were grimy, the air stale, and the overall condition suggested the room hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. The sheets were the worst part – old, visibly stained, and definitely not fresh. They made me feel uncomfortable even touching the bed, let alone sleeping in it. I was so repulsed by the overall state of the room that I ended up sleeping in my car instead, which honestly felt like a cleaner and safer option. This was easily one of the most unpleasant lodging experiences I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for even the most basic level of cleanliness or comfort.

Lots of maintenance issue

I guess you could say that the hotel is a direct representation of the cheapest and the worst. The rooms and bathrooms were not clean, but they were typical of cheap hotels. The air conditioning was on, but it was very loud and noisy. The TV did not work properly. There is a freight train running next to the hotel, so the noise was also bothersome.

No wifi-upon asking that wifi was included why its not working and the answer was prices of room are cheap we cannot provide Wifi. Then why the hack you mentioned that it was included? Don’t write then it’s included .They are liars. We booked 4 days for work trip and suffered as no internet to work. No cups for coffee which we can use in microwave. When asked they said no and when forced they have plastic cup which was of no use- cannot make hot coffee in plastic cup. Rooms are not cleaned- dust everywhere. Room service entered in room without our permission when we went out. Worst place to live. Negative star

Clean rooms other than the rugs which could be redone. No pests which is always a fear. Hallway/stairway rugs are pretty gross. Had lots of families when I was there. Felt safe but got a little noisy at times. Cleaning staff stole my recycling, that was weird. TV didn't work. Wifi was out a couple times but got fixed with a few hours. Bed was sunken and a little uncomfortable. Very affordable room. Convenient location close to Walmart, restaurants, major roads, etc. Got my deposit back promptly. Overall would stay there again but this is no palace.

Checking in to the hotel was ok, the receptionist was polite. The room was somewhat clean however to the tissue box on the bathroom counter was broken with the cover placed on the closet shelf. There was a clothes iron with a piece broken off exposing wires. The walls in the stairs were filthy as well as the landing by the door leading outside. Checking out was horrible. The man behind the counter treated me like I was nobody. Demanded I give him my debit card and when he was finished he told me I could go and waved his hand to tell me to leave. It was the most horrible experience I have ever gone through. I will never go there again and will advice anyone that I know to never go there.

The rooms might be good but front desk is aerfull you can only get a room if you have credit card,not even visa debit is acceptedwasnt asked absolutelly nothing but credit card and without it it's impossible to stay at this hotel,much better paid a little bit more but was treated with dignity,respect and courtesy st the Comfort Inn that from now on will be my optioñ when in needof escape!!!!!(

Lost wallet on the plane ride in and they let me pay the damage deposit in cash and check in without IDs, this was my first red flag but i had no choice for that weekend. Upon checking out they told me i could not check out before 8am and if i did i would have to pay an "early checkout fee" for people to be in the office at an earlier time so i ended up checking out late the night before and once again they told me i had to tip them for letting me stay there with out photo ID....at the end they kept just under half of my damage deposit and i didnt stay all the nights i had paid for...room did not have lightbulbs and the tub faucet was also broken. The area around the hotel was nice enough.

The hotel is only open from 8am to 12am and my flight got delayed and arrived to hotel past 12am I was not aware of this so I had to get another hotel on the spot

although its an older hotel, it was clean and comfy enough. the front desk staff was friendly as was the cleaning staff.

The room was average but the staff were amazing. My flight arrived late. I called the number on the door and they came and checked me in right away at 1am. The checkout process was easy as well.

Great customer service.

I got to the hotel tired and wanting to check in and relax and they wouldn't allow me to check in because I used a visa debit to reserve the room. They informed me upon arrival that they do not accept Visa debit add and appropriate form of payment not do they accept cash deposits. They told me to go down the way. I ended up having to spend almost triple what I had originally bargained on spending plus a 100$ damage deposit. But at least they let me use my debit card at the Royal Lodge 2 doors down.

You can walk Walmart in 5min and go shopping to lots of stores across the street. can help for long stay.

It's a good decent hotel for the price, me and my friends stayed for one night and it did the job well, I would not stay for more than one or two nights though as the rooms are a bit dirty and have holes in the wall lol, but it's close to a lot of amenities and is a 15 minute drive away from West Edmonton Mall.

This hotel has railyards next it. Trains run immediately behind the hotel. There were many people talking loudly in the next room from 2AM until 8AM. The hallway floors had not been cleaned in a long time. The room was run down and poorly laid out. If you have no place to sleep this could be a last resort.

Nice location, central /south end of Edmonton that was easy to get to. Lots of dinning options within walking distance, and even more within 10 min drive. Easy and quick to get to WEM and other shopping. Hotel has been updated, beds were comfy, and the couch in the room was nice too. nice high quality bedding and towels. Shower was beautifully tiled and the water was plenty hot. Nice window at the back (can be opened in hot weather). **Looks over 6 parallel train tracks!** Occupants had best be heavy sleepers because there were 6 freight trains a night. Otherwise, good stay.

There is 5 rail lines runnimg along the building and the goods lines were as busy as hell

was advertised to have free breakfast but when we arrived there was no breakfast

Breakfast is supposed to be served until 10 am. Went down at 9:45, most good put away already. No waffles, pastries etc.
