Front desk staff was extreemly helpful when we checked in. The bet configeration was a little ackward, one side was completely against the wall, so one person had to climb to the end of the bed to get up. Breakfast was perfect, with good choices.

This is a charming boutique hotel only two blocks from a tram station, making it very convient to areas of Amsterdam. My only “complaint” is I wish they had washclothes for the bathroom instead of just hand towels and bath towels.

This hotel was a big disappointment. It really looked promising in the pictures, but in reality, this felt more like one of those old pensions, where you rent a room above a pub. Yikes! Just keep in mind: there’s a reason why they only show a couple pictures of the rooms. In person, you can notice how badly the building was “repurposed”. Cheaply furnished and it just seems unclean. There’s a difference between having a “vintage chic” style, and furnishing the place with garbage that makes the place look plain dirty. Also, the rooms have no AC. Most of the year this is probably not an issue, but beware if it’s actually nice and sunny outside, the room feels like an oven! The reception staff just said “oh, we don’t have AC in Europe”, which is BS. I live in Europe myself. If I’m paying for a good night’s sleep, and you know the temperature in the rooms is a problem, then do something about it if you want to guarantee a good nights’ sleep for your customers. Especially if you’re charging €350 per night.

I expected small, but it was not efficient. The tiny bathroom had no hooks to hang a towel, no shelf, we had to move the trash can so our knees would fit when on the toilet. There was a tray with an electric pot but nowhere near to plug it in. The location was good and the staff very nice.
