AI-generated summary based on recent guest reviews

At NL Hotel District Leidseplein, guests consistently like the convenient, walkable location near Leidseplein and museums and the friendly, helpful staff, but note very small rooms and Amsterdam‑style access challenges: a tiny elevator to floor three and steep stairs.

We rented 4 rooms for 8 people and we liked that the rooms were exceptionally clean. Each room had a remote control that allowed us to set the AC to the temperature we wanted. Some needed it cold to sleep. We found it conveniently located and found a lot of things close, like a grocery store. There was a refrigerator in each room, so we bought water, soda and snacks. Walking out of the hotel to the right (East) was a lot of things like the Rijksmuseum. We walked to Anne Frank too. Had breakfast at Eggs Benaddicted, which was AMAZING. We highly recommend this hotel. There are steep steps to get inside, but we had no issue with that. Loved this place. Nice people at the front desk.

Good sandwich shop nearby and a small grocery store. Had a small cube refrigerator but no microwave. Coffee machine did not work. Room super small for two Queen beds but it worked. Stairs are super steep but at least there is a small elevator to get the luggage up to the second floor. I don’t know what I’d do if I was on the third floor trying to carry up my luggage. Liked that it had a push button code to get into the hotel and room. We stayed here during the tulip season so it was really expensive for what we got. About $450 a night (and I reserved and paid for it 6 months prior)

This hotel was a big disappointment. The pictures are very misleading, the rooms do look that way but the common areas are horrendously old, smelly, stained brown carpeted areas and the stairs are a hazard with no railing. The room we had was clean and adequate but the bathroom ehich is newly renovated had a flood damaged door with swollen wood at the nottom and peeling paint plus the light fitting in the shower was either falling out or so badly installed there was a large gap between the ceiling and the fixture It was just poor standard and yet it was the most expensive hotel we booked because the pictures looked so good and its a great area but we stayed a week at 2 other hotels in the same area and paid much less for far nicer hotels This was a very disappointing finale to our trip unfortunately.

Terrible hotel. The stairs and the elevator are awful. The elevator only works up to the 2nd floor, not to the 4th where our room was, so we had to carry our luggage up very narrow stairs.

The staff was really nice and the late check in option worked perfectly. However the hotel would need some renovation. The room was clean but the bed and the pillows would need refurbishment.
