Property was perfect for us. We stayed in room 50 with an awe inspiring view. That was the most important feature for us. Our room was spacious and clean. With a large bed, two twin beds pushed together, very supportive and comfortable. Hotel Muralto is an older property that has been well cared for and updated. Staff are very kind, helpful and attentive. We stayed in Locarno for 2 weeks and found that Hotel Muralto to be the right balance of comfort and functionality at a very good price. The property is located within a 6 minute walk from the train/bus station so super convenient. Please note the pathways up from the train station and downtown can be a little steep and challenging for someone with mobility issues, but there are convenient bus options just steps from the hotel door. Locarno is a lovely city and ever so peaceful in the evening. We left our balcony door open for nature’s AC which is quite comfortable in April and May. We will definitely be back!

The hotel is beautiful. We managed to secure a room with a view of the lake. Very clean. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely with a wide choice. Location is walking distance from food, shops and buses.
