Helt fantastisk sted. Anbefales på det sterkeste. Fantastiske restauranter, barer, og spa. Gym er veldig bra med godt utstyr og squash bane. Personalet er helt fantastisk, detaljene på hotellet og gjennomføring gir deg historie fra Bali hele veien, fra bilder på veggene, utskjæringer og drinker på pinestripe bar. Vi hadde 3 netter, men skulle blitt enda ble lenger. Book ekstra tid for å bare nyte dette fantastiske hotellet.

It’s clear to us why the Viceroy earned their Conde Nast World Class rating. The grounds are impeccable, the view of the lush green valley is magnificent, and the relatively small size of the complex (<50 villas) supports a very high staff to guest ratio resulting in high touch quality care where guests are recognized and greeted by their names. Check-in was effortless and welcoming, our buggy ride to the villa provided a bird’s eye view of the grounds (spa, restaurants, exercise facility, bar, pools, etc), and our villa was expansive, well laid out, and pleasurable. Wifi was constant and dependable and service was prompt and responsive. Food was generally high quality, but some dishes were better than others. The staff’s fluency in English made the stay easy. Their shuttle services to/from Ubud was appreciated.

We stayed in the Garden Villa, one of the more luxurious villas. Private pool (heated upon arrival!). A lot of luxury and space, all very nice. We tried both restaurants, the fine dining one with a set menu (vegetarian option available) had amazing food. Expensive… but worth it. We never got to rhe communal pool as our own was so good. Complimentary shuttle to/from Ubud. Otherwise for other transport, get the Grab app, works very well and cheap - 25 Euro for a 2 hour drive). You need cash for this. Tried Ubud Palace and the dance show, very nice but to see anything you need to come 1 - 1.5 hour before show and get a front seat.

Wir hatten eine Vice Regal Suite gebucht. Diese war einfach nur toll. Wir konnten bei unserem Pool das Wasser auf Badewannentemperatur hoch regeln lassen. Klasse! Service, Personal und Essen waren auch sehr gut! Dieses Hotel ist eine klare Empfehlung in Ubud.

Our experience at the Viceroy Ubud could not have been better. Starting with the facilities, I can’t remember having a more beautiful hotel room. And we travel a lot. The entire facility was exceptionally well designed and felt very fresh and clean. We loved it. Our pool suite was incredibly spacious, and we really did have our own private heated pool. It was phenomenal! The staff was well trained and incredibly attentive. We ate dinner in the hotel both nights, and were quite pleased with the quality of the food and the service. As nice extras, the hotel had a social hour the first night we were there, which included free, cocktails, which is always appreciated. They also had a great little spread of food. Both restaurants are very good, and very different. We went to both and liked them. We both got massages, and were quite pleased with those as well - both in terms of quality and price. And we took the complimentary morning yoga class, which we also enjoyed. The resort was so nice that we made the last-minute decision after arriving to center our entire Ubud experience around it! The general manager, Patrick Farrell, took it personal interest in us. We felt like he genuinely cared about us and the experience we had at the hotel. We’re delighted with the very peaceful nature of the resort given how hectic a day can be as a tourist in Bali. We hope to return someday!

Perfect in every way. Villa and hotel are stunning. What really stood out were the staff. Attentive and nothing is too much trouble. In every interaction they were genuinely warm and friendly. Food was great. Spa was excellent.

As a local taxi driver put it, “they treat you like kings (and queens) in there.” We enjoyed our pool suite villa, and took advantage of the two excellent restaurants in the hotel, with Apertif one of the best in Ubud. Tip: don’t skip the welcome drinks at the Apertif bar, easily one of the best with old-world decor oozing speakeasy vibes. We stayed in the deluxe swim pool villa. We thoroughly enjoyed the room and amenities. Staff was super nice. Gym was well equiped. The best was pinstripe bar! Amazing drinks. Overall 5 star luxury all around!

The resort is beautiful and well maintained with so many intricate stone carvings donning the walls. The staff is very hospitable and affectionate. The Cascade restaurant is very elegant with good plant-based choices. The Aperitif (2nd restaurant) is also very chic for fine dining, but the portion size is extremely small. Good free shuttle service to Ubud. Would stay again!!

The rooms are old and bathrooms are somehow gross. Definitely didn't get the 5-star experience we were looking for. You can find a much better place in Bali if you are paying this much. Very dissappointed.

This is an impeccable property. Very spacious beautiful rooms, exclusive. Breakfasts were amazing staff is amazing. The hotel pinstripes bar is sooo cool decor staff bartenders everything. Had a great time!

Amazing, beautiful and tranquil villas in the middle of Ubud and just a 10 minute ride to the downtown area. The entire atmosphere was so tranquil and the grounds were absolutely stunning. Top quality finishings, fixtures and amenities throughout the resort. The hotel room was very spacious with a private pool which was absolute bliss. The staff were extremely accommodating, paying attention to every detail. The food and drinks were delicious. Not one thing was left without attention.

Complimentary shuttle to/from Ubud. Otherwise for other transport, get the Grab app, works very well and cheap - 25 Euro for a 2 hour drive). You need cash for this. Tried Ubud Palace and the dance show, very nice but to see anything you need to come 1 - 1.5 hour before show and get a front seat.

The staff were extremely kind and hospitable, they really made our stay comfortable and easy. Our villa was so beautiful and we loved the private plunge pool and outdoor shower. The grounds are beautiful and very organic, truly felt like we were in Bali. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Our experience at the Viceroy Ubud could not have been better. Starting with the facilities, I can’t remember having a more beautiful hotel room. And we travel a lot. The entire facility was exceptionally well designed and felt very fresh and clean. We loved it. Our pool suite was incredibly spacious, and we really did have our own private heated pool. It was phenomenal! The staff was well trained and incredibly attentive. We ate dinner in the hotel both nights, and were quite pleased with the quality of the food and the service. As nice extras, the hotel had a social hour the first night we were there, which included free, cocktails, which is always appreciated. They also had a great little spread of food. Both restaurants are very good, and very different. We went to both and liked them. We both got massages, and were quite pleased with those as well - both in terms of quality and price. And we took the complimentary morning yoga class, which we also enjoyed. The resort was so nice that we made the last-minute decision after arriving to center our entire Ubud experience around it! The general manager, Patrick Farrell, took it personal interest in us. We felt like he genuinely cared about us and the experience we had at the hotel. We’re delighted with the very peaceful nature of the resort given how hectic a day can be as a tourist in Bali. We hope to return someday!

What an extraordinary experience. Beautiful facility, spacious room, high end amenities, extraordinary service. We were constantly surrounded by Balinese sincere kindness and attention to every need. Lovely hotel with lovely staff. Many of whom have worked there since the hotel opened 20 years ago. You can't do better in my mind and I've traveled the world.

The resort is beautiful and well maintained with so many intricate stone carvings donning the walls. The staff is very hospitable and affectionate. The Cascade restaurant is very elegant with good plant-based choices. The Aperitif (2nd restaurant) is also very chic for fine dining, but the portion size is extremely small. Good free shuttle service to Ubud. Would stay again!!

Amazing, beautiful and tranquil villas in the middle of Ubud and just a 10 minute ride to the downtown area. The entire atmosphere was so tranquil and the grounds were absolutely stunning. Top quality finishings, fixtures and amenities throughout the resort. The hotel room was very spacious with a private pool which was absolute bliss. The staff were extremely accommodating, paying attention to every detail. The food and drinks were delicious. Not one thing was left without attention.

We stayed for four nights and wouldn’t change a thing. The staff is so welcoming and accommodating. The food at Cascades is so good…we ate there three out of four nights. We enjoyed a couples massage in our villa that was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

It’s clear to us why the Viceroy earned their Conde Nast World Class rating. The grounds are impeccable, the view of the lush green valley is magnificent, and the relatively small size of the complex (<50 villas) supports a very high staff to guest ratio resulting in high touch quality care where guests are recognized and greeted by their names. Check-in was effortless and welcoming, our buggy ride to the villa provided a bird’s eye view of the grounds (spa, restaurants, exercise facility, bar, pools, etc), and our villa was expansive, well laid out, and pleasurable. Wifi was constant and dependable and service was prompt and responsive. Food was generally high quality, but some dishes were better than others. The staff’s fluency in English made the stay easy. Their shuttle services to/from Ubud was appreciated.

Our experience at the Viceroy Ubud could not have been better. Starting with the facilities, I can’t remember having a more beautiful hotel room. And we travel a lot. The entire facility was exceptionally well designed and felt very fresh and clean. We loved it. Our pool suite was incredibly spacious, and we really did have our own private heated pool. It was phenomenal! The staff was well trained and incredibly attentive. We ate dinner in the hotel both nights, and were quite pleased with the quality of the food and the service. As nice extras, the hotel had a social hour the first night we were there, which included free, cocktails, which is always appreciated. They also had a great little spread of food. Both restaurants are very good, and very different. We went to both and liked them. We both got massages, and were quite pleased with those as well - both in terms of quality and price. And we took the complimentary morning yoga class, which we also enjoyed. The resort was so nice that we made the last-minute decision after arriving to center our entire Ubud experience around it! Perfect in every way. Villa and hotel are stunning. What really stood out were the staff. Attentive and nothing is too much trouble. In every interaction they were genuinely warm and friendly. Food was great. Spa was excellent.

While the resort itself was beautiful, I was uncomfortable with some interactions involving drivers. One driver quoted me a transfer price much higher than the rate later confirmed directly by the resort and suggested using a relative for transportation instead. I ultimately chose a ride through Grab because I preferred the transparency, tracking, and accountability of the app. I also experienced a few comments/interactions from drivers that felt overly personal or suggestive and did not feel professional to me as a solo traveler.
