Good points: kids club and breakfast Bad: tacky way to nickle and dime people that already spent a lot of money that completely takes the 5-star feel away (examples: displaying floaties at every pool and trying to charge horrendous prices to use them (and once you paid you cannot take them from 1 pool to a different pool), I tried to take away my daughters hot chocolate from breakfast because we had to leave for the airport and they asked me for almost $10 dollars for a take away cup!!!), lots of weird rules that made us feel uncomfortable (asking for room number 100 times a day, cannot take pool towel from 1 pool to another), beach was full of rocks and shells - not really able to go in with a small child. Lastly we booked for a king but all they did was putting 2 single beds together and if I wanted a real king I had to upgrade and pay of course I would never go back , especially for the price …there are way better, friendlier and customer centric resorts in the same area

As with most places in Bali, I find the staff is always the outstanding highlight and the Mulia is no exception. Our room was impeccably clean as well. The gym was very well appointed with way more equipment than most hotel gyms, I would have loved more sanitizing in there though. No option to clean our equipment before or after using it. The buffets are massive and the dining rooms are super noisy but there's no shortage of food.
