We loved the look of the property and the vibe. The room was lovely. We did have issues access the gym, would not work. There was a power outage on the Sunday and we found it confusing. Thought the restaurant was closed due to no power, but found out when we went to reception it was open and we had missed breakfast. Annoyed when I mentioned this to the receptionist that they did not really apologise. We expected better service, perhaps a notice that the blackout was only in the rooms and not the cafe. We were also unsure as to whether the hot water would work, so had very quick showers. Just expected better communication.

I've stayed here before & liked it. This time a little disappointing. It's summer, but on arrival we found the pool was closed. There were dead, squashed mosquitos in the bathroom basin. But our main complaint is after we'd been there for a day, we realised the fridge temperature was up too high, the ice had melted & food in it was not safe to eat. Pros: the buffet breakfast was great, and reception was helpful.

On arrival, it appeared that perhaps there was a debut ball in one of the function rooms. Once we obtained our key and made our way to the room, we could see how big the property actually was. Being near the back of the property, there was no noise from the function, traffic or anyone else on the property. The rooms were lovely and clean, and very modern, but the hallways and the entrance to the hallway could use some work. Also the car park area for our room was quiet a distance from the room we were staying in, and inconvenient for carrying luggage to the room; particularly when you have several things to transfer. Only for the king bed, the bathroom and the quiet, I will be back again - and hopefully to the same back area of the property where I can sleep easily.

Really disappointing stay at the Mercure. I have stayed there three times in the past six months, this was by far the worst and I will choose another option in the future. The room was smelly, it was musty when we arrived, there was no option to open the only window to get any fresh air. The skirting boards were damaged and coming off from the wall near the bathroom, making me question if there was a mould issue. The bathroom had a very bad odour coming from I assume the drains. We closed the bathroom door overnight but it was extremely unpleasant to shower in. The shower grout had mould. We arrived late at night and were checking out before 7am so it was not worth raising these issues to swap room at that point of the night. The grounds are beautiful but the rooms leave a lot to be desired.

For the brand and price, the hotel was very disappointing - the rooms are very dated with visible damage and in need of a deep clean. The “king” bed was two single beds pushed together and due to the poor quality of mattresses had an extremely noticeable and uncomfortable ridge down the middle. There is a pile of dirty mattresses and broken furniture dumped in the corner of one of the squares around which guest rooms are located.

The hotel is a bit of old in terms of the facility and furnitures. The quality of the room is bit of like some 3 stars motels as the bathroom is quiet old. The white sheets are with some stain of bloods which needs to be improved. However, Reception is friendly and meet the hotel standard. For 1 night stay is still acceptable.

The new rooms here are lovely but the older courtyard room we had on this second trip was outdated and needed a deep clean. Beds were comfortable but bathroom needs a facelift or a really good clean and has no heating so is absolutely freezing.

The cleaning of the bathroom was not to any hotel’s standard. Ive stayed for 4 nights in the upgraded room paying $210 per night for the room. The first 2 days when I returned to my room in at night, the drain in the shower still have lots of hair trapped on the drain cover, and the bin in the bathroom was not emptied. This didn’t happen just for one day, it happened for 2 consecutive days. I called the receptionist and told her the room was not cleaned properly, she managed to send a housekeeper girl to my room who ended up contaminated my room with her muddy shoes. This young cleaner also was not trained in dumping used disposable gloves. She attempted to touched the door handle with gloves which she just used to clean the drain and bin! This is below Accor standard and not something I expected from a well known hotel brand.

A beautiful property that is clearly under going renovation and refresh. Furniture and fittings in the room are showing signs of age, general cleanliness was good however the bathroom could do with a good clean paying attention to the grouted areas and shower screen which need a good scrub to remove built up dirt and grime.

Overall we had a great stay. Staff were excellent and the price was very reasonable. The bathroom in the unit we stayed in however was very very old and whilst it appeared mostly clean the shower curtain and chair require urgent replacement as they were in poor condition and dirty.

The room was dirty. The ground around the property. I booked the property because it was closed due to structural damage but no mention of this on wotif website. Reception didn't inform me of this either i read it on the back of a map they handed me. I rang reception to complain and was told the General Manager would call me. Still waiting 48hrs later still NO call. The buffer breakfast was disgusting. Bread stale, no real variety in hot breakfast. Scrambled eggs overcooked. Seriously i would never stay at another Mercure.

We stayed in the lodge which is the older rooms. very disappointed in the bathroom. shower in the bath tub. shower head needs replacing and no water pressure. i did leave a message for the manager but didnt hear back. usually we stay in the upgraded rooms which are much better. wont book a lodge room ever again.

We had a room for 3 adults. Room was not clean. TV only hade 3 Chanel’s, unable to chrome cast due to no internet connection. Spoke to reception who came to the room to say they only have Chanel 7, ABC and SBS. Blamed it in the renovations, which were not mentioned when we booked. The Breakfast was sub standard, soggy hash browns, cold bacon and eggs. Not happy with this place as we paid a lot for only 1 night.

receptionist was cold rude and half asleep with lots of people waiting, more staff needed. I told her and showed her i’d paid but she made me pay again!! was refunded the next day. Green internet light flashed on and off all night. we were put in an average room in a building that resembled an old school dorm - old carpet etc. I’ve stayed here before and i know they have nicer rooms but we were given a terrible one.

I enjoyed my stay here. This hotel room feels more like staying in a little cabin than a big chain. Each room had a dedicated free parking spot right outside the room which was so convenient. There was a buffet breakfast available which was nice, however, if you ask for a barista made coffee it costs extra and is not included in the cost of the breakfast. There is a free coffee station which you can use though if you're not fussed. The staff at the hotel were all very nice, especially the breakfast crew in the mornings. The property grounds were really nice. It was quick to drive into the town centre to get to the restaurants, however, on a Friday and Saturday night it's incredibly difficult to find parking in town unless you get there early. The only reason I gave for the lower score on the property conditions were due to the bathrooms. The rooms seem outdated and due for an upgrade, which doesn't bother me at all, but in the bathroom you could see where the affects of mould/soap scum were eating away at the silicones and gap fillers. There was also a curly hair on the toilet seat when we first checked in to the hotel.

Fantastic venue and the rooms were great. Very disappointed with breakfast as we were unable to get our 2nd days breakfast because the closed early due to a lack of guests (not good enough when we paid for our breakfast and were denied it even when we were there within the timeframe of breakfast being offered). Will be seeking refund on unused breakfasts (x2)

The location is very good, near to everything, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was of good size and bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom needs an uplift and there is enough space to make the shower standalone and modern. The buffet breakfast options were very poor and minimal especially compared to last time we stayed here and for that reason we will not be coming back again.

The external property is gorgeous. The restaurant was fabulous for dinner. The light from the carpark keeps you awake at night. The house keeping was as expected which would only get noticed if you stayed longer than a day or two. Highly recommend a visit to the Sanctuary Day Spa.

The space we were given was big but warn out. Each light switch was warn out and discoloured, there were scratched on the walls. All but one light was cool in colour which made the space incredibly sterile. There was no chain lock on our door, and windows with locks that were missing or broken, which was worrying. Buffet breakfast was ordinary with no-one around to greet you or confirm your reservation at 8.30am. I attended the buffet earlier one day and saw the staff had a omelette station set up, which was not available during the 8.30 period, even though breakfast is until 10am. Overall we enjoyed the location and the space but everything else was pretty ordinary.
