I stayed in a private room for one night. Really nice room, comfy and plenty of room. The staff were really nice. Reception had a strange smell, not sure if that was a one off or not but you are not in the reception for long anyway so it doesn't matter too much

We stayed in a double room with en suite facilities. Very affordable so we were surprised at the facilities. Very clean very comfortable bed. Staff were very welcoming. The Hostel is more like a hotel which is good and is very central in location. Lots of great cafes restaurants and bars all in easy access. Public transport is right outside the door making it very easy to get around Berlin. Brilliant choice

Great stay in Berlin! Super welcoming and friendly staff. Let us get our room early when we arrived free of charge, and a welcome drink. Easy to get to by bus and U-Bahn. Short walk to Huxleys Neue Welt :)

TOTALLY RECOMMENDED!! Well, As someone who has stayed in many hostel in Berlin before, I can say that this hostel is one of the best in the city. Firstly, this is a hotel with dormitory option. So if you expect real hostel vibe, you may be disappointed. There is a hotel bar, 7/24 reception,and breakfast area in the hostel. Dormitories has private and clean bathrooms inside the room. My room was huge. Enough space to work or eat something on the table, watching outside from the wide windows. There was 2 toilet for 8 person and 1 bathroom in the room which is unusual in hostels and that’s cool. Beds are comfortable and there are small lockers next to the bed for private belongings. Location is great which is 1 minute waking distance to the Hermannplatz subway station. Hostel located in Neukolnn area, there are 7/24 open restaurants,spati’s(small markets) around. This area is 24 hours vibrant and in heart of the city. But that brings some noise from outside and not really safe atmosphere(depending on person). Every single reception staff is so helpful,warm and welcoming. And the last and best thing about the hostel is BREAKFAST. It’s one of the best hostel breakfasts that you can see in Europe. Totally worth to pay. I stayed there for my birthday and definitely satisfied.

Wegen eines Konzertbesuchs benötigte ich einen Schlafplatz für eine Nacht. Das Hostel ist 5 min von der Veranstaltungsstätte entfernt. Die Unterkunft war bis auf ein paar Abnutzungserscheinungen ordentlich und sehr sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich und alles hat reibungslos funktioniert. Es gab sogar die Möglichkeit, das EM-Spiel in der Lobby zu verfolgen, was mich sehr gefreut hat. Das Einzige, was ich negativ empfand, war die Lautstärke zur Straße. Aber dafür kann der Betreiber natürlich nichts. Insgesamt eine sehr positive Erfahrung und auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Paolo at the Grand Hostel Urban was the kindest person I met during my trip to Berlin! I never felt uncomfortable talking to staff and asking questions about my stay. The check-in was smooth, and the drinks/coffee offered downstairs were incredible. The breakfast buffet was convenient and delicious, and had a lovely view of the streets and the Fernsehturm at a distance.The location is conveniently next to U8 which takes you to Alexanderplatz where there are a lot of famous sights and easy connections to other parts of the city. Though I had a few uncomfortable encounters around where I stayed, I would recommend booking with Grand Hostel Urban.

Ganske fint hotel. Lidt slidt. Ligger meget tæt på U-Bahn og i et fint og livligt kvarter - hvis man kan lide det. Du træder lige ud i et spraglet gadeliv. Morgenmaden er kedelig. Jeg ville vælge den fra næste gang og købe hos en af de utallige restauranter i området. Aircondition kunne ikke blæse kold luft. Jeg kunne godt finde på at vende tilbage, men helst ikke i den værste sommerhede

Rummet var fräscht och hyfsat rymligt, duschen lite trång men annars var badrummet bra. Fönstren var väldigt välisolerade, trots att de vette mot en vältrafikerad gata hördes i princip ingenting (bara ibland om något blåljusfordon körde förbi). AC:n funkade okej, lite låg effekt med det var okej temperatur på rummet. Bra frukostbuffé.

I asked when i booked whether i could hv a lower bunk. They responded maybe. They did and even put a sign on the bed that it was reserved. The bed was very comfortable. It wasnt too bad as far as noise was concerned.

This place was the perfect stay for three old friends having an extended trip to Berlin. While it might fall short of the luxury or charm many would want on a romantic stay, the place had absolutely everything we needed, and it was easy, cheap, comfortable and clean, plus the staff were probably the nicest I ever remember meeting in any hotel, no exaggeration.

Paolo at the Grand Hostel Urban was the kindest person I met during my trip to Berlin! I never felt uncomfortable talking to staff and asking questions about my stay. The check-in was smooth, and the drinks/coffee offered downstairs were incredible. The breakfast buffet was convenient and delicious, and had a lovely view of the streets and the Fernsehturm at a distance.The location is conveniently next to U8 which takes you to Alexanderplatz where there are a lot of famous sights and easy connections to other parts of the city. Though I had a few uncomfortable encounters around where I stayed, I would recommend booking with Grand Hostel Urban.

Managers at the reception were friendly and helpful. The whole lobby area itself smelled very bad on Saturday all afternoon. It seemed to have been cleaned next day and there was no smell anymore. The room was clean, beds comfortable. The neighborhood is not pleasant, not a single normal restaurant around, just tiny places with low-quality fast food taking only cash for payment, untidy tables, crowds of unpleasant people, dirtiness, people smoking everywhere. It did not feel safe despite of lots of police. Would never stay in this area anymore.

My room was clean and prepared when I checked-in and the staff was helpful and professional. The hotel is located next to Hermannplatz, which can get noisy and busy during the days since it's a hub for public transportation for the U-subway and busses, which can take you to all the main tourist spots in Berlin. La habitación doble es correcta para 2 personas, estaba todo muy limpio, muy tranquilo por la noche. El desayuno tipo buffet muy completo. Tienes la parada del metro U7 y U8 justo es la puerta y en 12 minutos estas en Alexanderplatz

Rummet var fräscht och hyfsat rymligt, duschen lite trång men annars var badrummet bra. Fönstren var väldigt välisolerade, trots att de vette mot en vältrafikerad gata hördes i princip ingenting (bara ibland om något blåljusfordon körde förbi). AC:n funkade okej, lite låg effekt med det var okej temperatur på rummet. Bra frukostbuffé.

Bodde i hotelldelen, två nätter. Standarden är helt okej, enkelt rum, med enkelsäng, men med både litet skrivbord och fåtölj som gjorde det lite bekvämare än många hotellrum på hostel. Duschkabinen var liten, men vattnet varmt. För den känsliga rekommenderas att ta med egen duschtvål för den som tillhandahålls är absolut billigaste varianten. Frukosten var riktigt bra och med generösa öppettider.
