The hotel is well-located and staff were welcoming. The bed seemed new and the sheets were crisp and clean. We happened to visit on an unseasonably cold night, so the air conditioner was not really warming the room. We appreciated the heater that was stowed in the cupboard which made all the difference. The drawbacks were that the upstairs doors were loud - if you don’t plan to sleep in, that won’t matter. The wifi was v slow - not much point. The bathroom is unrenovated. And the games room was not worth a visit - the tables etc. do not seem to have been maintained.

I had a pleasant 4 night stay. The room was clean and had a microwave and coffee and tea. Best instant coffee I've had. Its a great location and close to the town centre of Katoomba and surrounding areas. I walked everywhere. I hired a car for 2 days and required parking for 1 night. The carpark is very tight and when I arrived back at 7pm all spots were gone and 1 car took up 2 spots which was inconsiderate. . There was street parking which I think was easier. I arrived at 11am on check in and was questioned if I knew check in was 2pm. I did. I was hoping to leave my luggage and return at 2pm. The room was ready at about 11:10 so no issues. Check in was a little unwelcoming. Other than that the property is very old but clean. Great price point too.

Very run down, but clean. Kids disappointed in games room, only 1/2 worked. When i comments on checkout that there was water in the carpet outside the bathroom i was told its a known issue (it was brown on a whote towel). Expensive for what it was but most hotels in the area are old.

For the price it had everything we needed. Very convenient on Main Street. Limited front desk time, room was adequate but needed tlc, drapes in bad shape, nice to have balcony. Bbq available but not clean. Laundry room but no machine for correct change and front desk didn’t know what coins were needed and gave me what wouldn’t fit in machine. No soap available to purchase in machine. Laundromat across the road and grocery stores around the corner.

The property is older but we found it very clean and comfortable. The shower was amazing and noise from the neighbors minimal. It sits at the bottom of the main street in town so all the shops, restaurants, and grocery stores are very walkable. The 3 Sisters were a quick drive down the hill but farther than I wanted to walk. We opted in for a hot breakfast that was served at The Metropole Hotel, which was ok and very filling. The next day we walked across the street to Aldi and picked up yogurt and fresh fruit. All in all we'd happily stay there again!

The property was well worn, however clean. The bed was comfortable, the shower and kitchen good. There are three hotels, Heritage, Central and Metropolis that are linked, which we didn't realise until after check in. The Central is behind the Heritage, and breakfast is at the Metropole if you want to purchase it. Location is excellent and we would stay there again.

We arrived 10am in the morning, the reception was very helpful to allow us checking in straight away. This saved us rushing back from Lithgow before 5pm to complete our check in. The bed, kitchen and bathroom were clean.

Bugs in the room and on the entrance door. 2 inch cockroach in the room on shredded sheer curtains. AC showed on but no cool air. Very dated furnishings, shower, windows and security lock on door was broken. We were so uncomfortable that we would have checked out right after arrival. We did not stay for the second night we paid for and they would not refund our money. We were packed and checked out before 9am and a different hotel was kind enough to hold our luggage. Suggest a day trip to Katoomba, no overnights, it is a very run down town

The room we had was not cleaned before we went in. the dish cloth was dirty and folded into the tee towel, bathroom was not cleaned dirt marks and towel looked used but folded. second night the room had been serviced and was a better presentation.

This a basic 3 star motel in need of some TLC. Our room had an extra single bed and was huge; there was a microwave and some plates etc and a small table to eat from; the bed was comfy. That was the best. The paint work and carpet had seen better days, the bathroom sink leaked, there was no bath mat provided, our room wasn't serviced (did we have to hang the provided notice on the door?) and the armchair had a broken leg. For Katoomba it was a reasonable deal, but only just.

Pros: Not super modern looking but it was good and served the purpose. Clean, easy parking, kettle/fridge/microwave, easy check in with code texted for lock box, smart tv with streaming options, great location. Cons: doors slammed heavily/loudly if not careful, no dish soap for dishes, no bed sheet under the quilt (never seen that before at a hotel).

The convenience of this motel is its biggest feature. Right next to town. Next is the rooms are a good size. Our room 28 had a problem with the curtains not fitting properly so cold was seeping into the room constantly. Beds were comfortable and having the extra for our daughter was a bonus. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location in centre of Katoomba. Can walk to shops and restaurants easily. Room was nice too with table and chairs and plenty of space. The only thing the after hours check instructions were a bit unclear to where rooms are and we had to explore whole property to find room. Some general room number signs (ie 25-35 that way) would help

Motel is in easy walking distance to all local shops and is located on the main street. We walked to Echo Point lookout, where the three sisters are, and it took us 20min. The Katoomba RSL is within a 10 min walk and has amazing meals. Highly recommend this motel.

This was not a five star hotel however for a short stay it was perfect for us. Room clean and tidy (if a little tired). Great location in town and walking distance to shops and restaurants. Good breakfast at one of their other nearby properties.

My stay was excellent. From reception to housekeeping staff, all very helpful and polite. Following on with the prepaid buffet breakfast at the Metropole hotel where the buffet layout, the food and drinks quality were excellent. The chef/waitress - excellent service with a smile and a great atmosphere.
