Hotel 't Putje

It wasn’t as clean or baby friendly. We got given a room on the top floor and was expected to carry the pram and luggage up and down the stairs as there were no lifts.

With parking just a stones throw away in the main city parking lot (3.8 Eu a night, 16 for a full day) the hotel was very convenient for using Bruges as a home base to explore the region. Old Europe rooms with new Europe amenities. Quiet rooms, comfortable beds…this place is a winner!

Dieses Hotel besticht mit einer hervorragenden Lage, direkt an der Oper in Brügge. Unter dem Opernplatz ist eine riesige Tiefgarage die zwar nicht zum Hotel gehört, aber eine perfekte Parkmöglichkeit bietet. Die Zimmer sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnten eine Renovierung vertragen. Ich habe das Hotel wegen der guten Lage und dem für Brügge günstigen Preis gebucht, daher war ich insgesamt nicht enttäuscht.

Room we received was not remotely close to one shown on site. Hotel has 4 floors but elevator only goes to 3. Small stairs lead to the attic where we stayed. If not for the nice young lady that helped get a bag up to the room we would not have made it. Upon arrivals we find excrement in the stool and it stank. As it is in an attic it was very hot. They did supply a fan that allowed us to get some sleep. First morning up we try to get a cup of coffee as there is none in the room. After going downstairs and getting two cups we are told they do not sell just coffee and we need to pay 14.50 Euro for the Buffett. We just wanted coffee. First time in our life in dozens of hotels that we did not get coffee provided and for sure not for 14.50 a cup. They finally conceded and allowed us to keep it. Then the manager insinuated we had not paid even us we had just worked with the restaurant manager. Would never suggest anyone go there for a stay. Only the one lady that assisted us with our bag was customer friendly.

Es ist zentral.aber das hotel ist hinter der Rezeption. Man muss mit dem Koffer laufen und zu dem Zimmer erreichen, sind viele Treppe. Wir haben kein Lift gesehen ! Wir haben kein Frühstück dort gegessen

Most parking around here is underground so no good for a van but l managed to find a pay and display spot nearby. Hotels.com could up its game by categorising parking to include vans as it is frustrating to be told there is parking but not for vans. Please add van parking to your algorithm.

The location is good for sightseeing and shopping. The parking is conveniently located, however, it is the only option. Remember when using GPS to find the hotel, it is going to take you in to the parking garage. Also, the hotel lobby and elevator smelled bad.

Escalators only go up to the 3rd floor and people staying on 4th floor had to walk up the stairs from the 3rd floor which was right next to my room, so the door kept slamming every time people were using the stairs. Extremely loud and frustrating.

The hotel itself is nice enough although there seems to be more than one building. From reception I had to go outside, turn left, turn left again and enter a building that wasn't connected to the main part of the hotel. The room was small but clean. The bed was very comfortable. There weren't any tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was mainly continental with a selection of croissants, cold meats etc. The hot breakfast was scrambled eggs and bacon. The staff were helpful. It is about a 15 minute walk from the railway station and about 10-13 minute walk to the Market.

The girl at the reception was so lovely to help my bag to carry upstairs … place is lovely very well located east walk to main square and central station only inconvenience is no elevators ….

Durante mi estancia encontramos chinches (Bed Bugs) en toda la cama y paredes, lo cual se nos contaminó la ropa y terminamos moridos por los insectos, el hotel y los recepcionistas no se hicieron cargo, ni nos quisieron recompensar con nada. Muy mal servicio por parte del hotel.

The location is very good, and easily accessible from the train station near-by. However, the room (double standard) was extremely poor quality - despite t being claimed at check-in as being a renovated room: 1. The walls were dirty, scraped, and in some instances the painting had not been completed 2. Bed had no headboard - and wall was dirty and scraped 3. Room was dusty and you did not have to look very far to find dust around and under bed. 4. Bathroom had black mould in the shower/bath 5. Room had very little in the way of useful or practical amenities - paper cups not glasses, a small fridge that did not cool Requested an iron (as hotel advertises iron and iron board available) but there were no iron boards. Kinda like giving a car with no wheels. Made ironing difficult and laborious as not a suitable or safe surface to iron on. 6. Hotel was hot, stuffy and smelly... (even the elevator) and the general feeling was it needed a really good air-out 7. WORST of all was the rooms have no air-con. (which may be a city ordnance issues due to it being a historical site) but the rooms were stiflingly hot and even though a small fan was provided it was not sufficient to cool the room (it was also a very cheap fan so rattled and made more noise than necessary. I would say they fan noise may have kept me awake - but truth was I could hardly sleep due to the oppressive heat in the room. Overall not a positive experience in any way - although Brugge itself is stunning.

Das Zimmer war sauber, dafür gibt es 1 Stern von mir. Der Rest des Hotels ist jedoch die Bezeichnung nicht wert. Total angewohntes Zimmer, der Putz blättert von der Fassade und sowohl im Fahrstuhl, als auch auf dem Flur (2.Etage) riecht es als ob Verwesungsgeruch auf Desinfektionsmittel trifft, so stelle ich mir den Geruch in einer Krankenhausleichenhalle nach längerem Ausfall der Kühlung vor. Nie wieder

Terrible experience! l woke up at night all itchy but only in the morning l found bedbugs bites on my body, spotted a big one crawling, took a video and show it to the reception. They asked me to send it to the hotel managed but l never got any reply, really outrageous!

There are bed bugs. I found a bed bug in my bed. The whole place has a weird smell and what is advertised is not at all the rooms. For the price this is a total rip off. Do not recommend

Leider haben wir wohl unterste Budgetkategorie als Zimmer bekommen. Leider verstehen wir nicht warum dann der Teppich ekelig, die Heizung im Bad ohne Funktion und die Möbel teilweise Sperrmüll sein müssen. Das Treppenhaus roch nach Abfluss und ist vermutlich vor Monaten das letze Mal geputzt worden. Billig muss nicht kaputt und eklig sein. Hier ist es das aber. Premiumzimmer sehen sicher 100 mal besser aus. Vermutlich kann die Hotelbelegschaft das alles ändern. Passiert aber nicht. Schade...

Bed bugs We woke up being bitten and took several pictures and a video, then left in the middle of the night and were lucky enough to secure a room elsewhere. A quick search of this hotel's reviews on Google reveal similar issues going back years, and responses from the business blaming guests themselves for bringing them. We arrived there from our home, where we don't have bed bugs....so we definitely didn't bring them. I understand it's a difficult problem to manage, but other hotels seem to be having better luck managing the problem, so draw your own conclusions.

The hotel is in a really good location,I had a really nice attic room to myself on the 4th floor,the staircase up was a little steep so wouldn’t recommend if struggle with mobility. The bed was really comfy,I had a lovely bath,TV was huge and it was safe and quiet. There was a few furnishings that needed some small repair just mainly cosmetic things,but I wasn’t too bothered as the price and location was really good. Staff were very nice and helpful The only issue was that on the second night there was a concert on for students outside the hotel that went on until 1am and was really loud and noisy so did not sleep,this obviously was no fault of the hotel but if had known in advance could have got some ear plugs,other than that was a very pleasant stay,thankyou Would stay again if visiting Bruges.

De ligging van de accommodatie is ideaal. Alle bezienswaardigheden zijn op loopafstand. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk. Comfort van de kamer is minder en mag een update hebben. Helaas zijn de kamervoorzieningen niet in orde. De tv werkte niet, dit is meerdere malen bij de receptie gemeld. De haardroger stopte al na een paar minuten. En er was een tijdelijke stroomuitval.

Dated and needs a refresh

Great location. The room we got was nice and specious. Bed was really comfortable. AC didn’t really work but there was a fun in the room so that was enough for us since it wasn’t really hot. If you’re coming with someone with reduced mobility inform them since inside hotel there can be a lot of stairs depending where your room is located.

Close to the centre and easy to walk to from the station. Basic facilities but my room had a balcony and a much needed fan. Clean and great shower pressure. Happy!

Hotel is in need of some updates and lacked some basic amenities (fridge). Breakfast showed as included but staff said we’d need to pay (€15). Location is great, parking is easy and its close to many dining options. About a 10-15 minute walk to the main square.

The hotel is located around the edge of the city center and is very easy to access the city center: 5 min for Saint Salvators Kathedraal and 10 min for Belfort. My room did not have an air conditioner so that you may feel hot on sunny summer days.

Room was in terrible shape- marks all over the carpets and walls, tv didn’t work, tiny window which faced a brick wall and the bathroom window facing directly into someone else’s window with no blind. Our friends stayed there too and lived their room, had a balcony and lots of natural light and a working tv- we paid the same amount of money as them, I booked both at the same time. Asked to move to a similar room and was refused. Good location, good shower.

We received an incredibly warm welcome from the lady on reception. Our top-floor room gave wonderful views over the city. The bathroom is slightly dated but perfectly acceptable. Breakfast was good, if slightly expensive. The area around the hotel offers a good selection of bars and restaurants. We found all the city sights to be easily walkable from the hotel.

Hotel is a good walking distance from the train station. We stayed in the triple beds room on the 4th floor (arctic). It is clean and roomy. It has 2 fans, which are perfect for fall season (no AC). We brought a foldable travel kettle to make instant coffee in early morning or cup of tea late at night. The room has small refrigerator, but no kettle. Front desk was professional and friendly, efficient check-in/out. We felt welcome. Overall, we had a good experience.

The hotel was nice, clean, comfy and some of the best parts were the view, the buffet for breakfast (for an extra cost but very convinient) and the bathtub. Unfortunately, our arrival definitely set the tone for the rest of our stay, although there were 2 people in the front desk, and they noticed our arrival, none of them welcomed us, in fact, they were loudly talking to another staff member upstairs so we waited a few minutes before they would talk to us. This was a bit rude, we felt ignored as if we were an inconvenient, the rest of the interaction wasn’t friendly.

Having gone to five hotels in 5 days, which prebooked on Expedia, this one had the slowest front desk due to the fact that it needed alll the info that it should have gotten from the booking already. Bed was as hard as a board and one lumpy pillow so I didn’t sleep well. Also I got into the shower o my to find the body wash empty and I was already soaking, got out to get some from sink, and realized after, that the towel I used to get out was the only one so I had to use hand towel. It is very clean and has an elevator, but I tried to take stairs down and they were not lit at all. I was only there one night. An extra towel, refilled shower gel and better bedding would have made this stay a lot better.

A very comfortable hotel with an excellent staff of friendly helpful and welcoming people who added so much to our entire trip with their willingness to share their knowledge of Bruges and things to see and do. We Highly recommend staying here.

Lovely front desk staff. Easy to walk everywhere. Close bicycle rental at reasonable rates. Very good value!

Great location Friendly staff Comfortable beds

The service from staff was consistently friendly and helpful. Hotel 't Putje was located close to the train station and made our stay in Bruges incredibly easy. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great value for money.

Not a good experience at all! This was not what we expected in such a beautiful city as Bruges. They assigned us a room with broken drawers, a flooding bathroom, dusty surfaces, two safe boxes that didn’t work and they didn’t have the keys for, filthy carpet, worn out wall paint, a broken kettle, dirty linen, and more. When we requested a room change they said we were assigned this room because we booked it through hotels.com. The staff was very defensive, but thankfully they changed us to a better room. Nevertheless, the hotel is not like what we saw in the pictures, even the front desk area is unclean. The location is as convenient as any other hotel in Bruges.

This was the worst hotel we stayed in out of 15 hotels we used for our trip, including hostels. Room 43 was a health and safety risk as it was damp and fousty, and smelt awful. The receptionist was indifferent to our complaint and no other rooms were available. The manager was not available either. We ended up leaving the hotel and booking into another hotel. and had to leave. Would not recommend this hotel.

Hotel was able to check me in early. Sarah, the front desk receptionist on-duty, provided tips on how to make the best of my stay. Amongst others, she provided the name of a restaurant that serves authentic Flemish food in this UNESCO-listed, historic City. This restaurant, De Vlaamsche Pot, is located a short walk away from Hotel Putje. I had dinner there. Hotel Putje is near the Brugge Train Station. It is surprisely quiet.

The room was clean, staff friendly and is in a great location, walkable from everything.

Great location

It was close to many architectural buildings to see. So many food options to choose from. It was a short walk from the central station. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Front counter staff were very helpful and knew the area well.

The hotel is in a great spot; walkable to everything in Bruges but just far enough outside the city centre so you’re not in the thick of it. There are plenty of great bars and restaurants around the hotel too.

Absolutely perfect location. Close to the train station, and as we arrived very late it was easy to find (7 minute walk) and on the edge of the historical centre. Rooms were basic but clean. Definitely value for money. We didnt take breakfast as I thought 14.90 Euros seemed expensive but on reflection a coffee is about 4.50 euros in the town. .

The horel is situated ten minute walk to the train station. And easy walk to centre. The room was warm, clean and comfortable. We didnt eat here so cannot comment. Receptionist a young girl friendky helpful answered our questions would definitely recommend and stay here again

Buena ubicación, lugar tranquilo, la habitación es espaciosa y limpia, excelente lugar para hospedarse en Brujas, además, la recepcionista fue muy amable y atenta a cualquier necesidad que surgiera

O atendimento no ato do check in é muito eficiente e educado. Todas as informações são passadas aos hóspedes, de maneira cordial. O quarto e o banheiro são amplos. E a localização é excelente: perto da estação de trem e, também, do centro histórico onde estão as principais atrações turísticas.

A good option in the heart of Bruges, although the staff were a bit cold, the dining was expensive and the lobby was in construction. Otherwise, an excellent room, clean and comfortable. I would recommend Hotel t’ Putje

L'hotel est très bien situé au centre ville, avec accès à pieds à de nombreux sites, parcs et autres. La literie de la chambre était correcte, par contre très petite salle de bain avec aucun support pour accrocher les serviettes. La chambre était située sous le toit et de ce fait il était impossible de se mettre debout dans la baignoire. Il vaut prendre le petit-déjeuner à l'extérieur, car pas terrible niveau qualité-prix. Sinon Bruges est une ville à visiter absolument.
