Das Hotel war vielleicht vor 50 Jahren mal was besonderes, mittlerweile gehört es grundsaniert! Die Mitarbeiter in der Bar machen ihren Job sehr langsam und lustlos. Der Pool war leider Anfang Dezember geschlossen, wird angeblich wetterbedingt erst Mitte Dezember geöffnet. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, das Bad ist noch kleiner und durch ein zusätzliches Bidet völlig zugebaut. Wenn man aus der Dusche steigt steht man praktisch im Bidet, bin mehrfach über das Ding gestolpert.

La limpieza y el personal; fue muy buena. La atención muy amable, en gral todo limpio y bien atendido, tendrían que renovar las alfombras, se ven viejas y renovar la luz. La habitación; Muy amplia, la tv muy chica, el baño demasiado pequeño, el aire funciono bien algo ruidoso. la cama muy buena. Ubicación; Próximo a Pto Madero, Calle Florida y demás ptos de interés, volvimos muy tarde de cenar, las calles desoladas algo tenebrosas EL sector piscina; descuidado. jardín sin mantenimiento, macetas vacías, deck terraza inhabilitado por estar roto el piso de madera, pocas reposeras y sillas plásticas sanas, Desayuno; faltaban algunas cosas, pero en gral bien Fuimos por ser un hotel emblemático que queríamos conocer, fue un hotel de lujo que mantiene detalles de calidad en diseño y equipamiento de aquellas épocas, pero si sigue en este nivel de cuidado recomendaría que vayan pronto antes que se cierre definitivamente.

Well-located with lots of Old World charm such as the wood-paneled bar area off the lobby, the Claridge could nonetheless use some attention to detail and a cosmetic touch-up. The service in the bar was chaotic and slow despite a lack of customers, and the room had no clothes hangars in the closet. The bathroom was clean and serviceable but very small. The pool was welcome in the heat and the gym had plenty of equipment. As a clock fan, I appreciated the working English grandfather clock in the lobby.

Property is half block from Calle Florida, two blocks from Galerías Pacífico, six blocks from Teatro Colón, and eight blocks from Plaza de Mayo. Convenient and walkable to much of central Buenos Aires. Nice pool in the summertime, but not kid friendly. Most of pool is 7 foot deep, and even shallow end is 4 feet. No lifeguard, so kids should be with an adult and be good swimmers. WiFi is mediocre. Works well when not busy, but is quickly overloaded much of the day. Hotel is a bit shabby, with some obvious deferred maintenance, typical for Argentina which is currently suffering very high inflation. Hotel staff is friendly, helpful, and very attentive. I consider this a great property for my wife and I. But people with young children should go elsewhere. Probably was a 4 star hotel 20 years ago, I would rate it as a 3 1/2 star today.

This property has a lovely renovated lobby, but the positives end there. It’s advertised “English-style” room was quaint, clean, and had everything I needed; however, it was quite dated. There was cracked, peeling plaster around the perimeter of the ceiling moulding that was falling. The air conditioning did not work. The taps in the bathroom and shower had to be turned so far to turn on that they would detach if I wasn’t careful. These things are minor, and it is a well located hotel with friendly staff. I am bothered to complain because the ONLY REASON I booked this hotel for approx $250 CAD for the night was for the beautiful pool and outdoor space advertised in the photos here on Expedia and their own website. It was 30 degrees Celsius daily for the two days of my overnight stay, and it was a long trek of travel, so I was rewarding myself. However, when I changed to my bathing suit and went to ask the front how to find the pool area I was told that the pool was “closed for the season” because “it’s winter.” When I said I only booked for this reason, no compensation or refund was offered. The language barrier of course is a factor here, but I am quite disappointed as I would not have spent this kind of money without a pool (since the room alone was in no way worth that!). Breakfast is not included either.

The pool was a welcome addition to our stay. We enjoyed our time relaxing by the pool and the attendant was awesome. The breakfast buffet was good and convenient. The receptionists were very friendly and answered all our questions.

Good Photoshop work, the hotel is very dirty and does not look anything like the pictures. The walls are very thin, you can clearly hear every room around yours. Also, my computer was briefly stolen in the lobby by someone taking my backpack while I was distracted for a second, the person left a similar backpack in its place, but I noticed a small difference, ran to the thief who was at the revolving door and started yelling at him, he dropped the backpack and fled. What surprised me is no one in the hotel staff that saw what happened seemed to care about the incident.

Claridge is a lovely little hotel with wonderful staff and service. I loved the decor in the reception area and the restaurant and bar. The rooms were spiotlessly clean and the bathroom had all the amenities and great space. We stayed for a week and I'd recommend it highly to others! Thank you, Vanda from Guyana.

Café da manhã razoável, na média. Sem muita variedade. Quarto pequeno, mal conservado (pinturas etc), banheiro apertado, desconfortável, mal conservado passando impressão de sujeira. A favor apenas o chuveiro bom com água na pressão boa, nada de pingos (ainda bem). Não merece 5 estrelas, cabem apenas 1 ou 2. Localização ótima.

This hotel has a lot going for it, and you can tell it was the place to be in its heyday. That said, it feels a bit worn down now. The room was very clean but not soundproof, and there weren’t many outlets. The TV would randomly turn on to a static screen every morning at the same time (maybe it’s haunted… not mad if it is!). There was also a hiccup with our reservation: we received a text saying we were due to check out even though we had two nights left. It was an honest mistake, but it did throw off part of our tour day. I’d recommend this hotel if you’re looking for something basic, but go elsewhere if you want a more elevated experience.

Hotel velho e antigo, precisando urgentemente ser renovado. Boa recepção porém falta conhecimento em alguns itens. Limpeza péssima, inclusive com roupa de cama manchada de sangue que não foi lavada. Ou seja não trocam roupa de cama do hospede anterior. Café da manhã honesto e cozinha atenciosa atendendo pedido. Outro item é que pensava ser um hotel com ambiente familiar e o que vimos foi muita garota de programa acompanhando hospede. No anúncio da reserva dizia que haveria smart tb e não havia nem para trocar. Resumo não vale

Excelente localização ao lado da Rua Florida e obelisco. Tudo estava limpo e arrumado. Bom atendimento. Porém o hotel precisa de uma reforma, para ser um hotel de luxo, pois está com aspecto de abandono.

This is by no means a 5 star hotel. If any, a 3. The room is old, the few furnitures like desk and chair were old, no pictures on the wall, and the tv is super small. The bathroom small and old fixtures, with barely enough room to walk. The towels are so old that it actually scratched the sensitive parts of my body. This is by no means a 5 star hotel. If any, a 3. The room is old, the few furnitures like desk and chair were old, no pictures on the wall, and the tv is super small. The bathroom small and old fixtures, with barely enough room to walk. The towels are so old that it actually scratched the sensitive parts of my body. This is not a 5 star hotel, maybe 3. A receptionist told us that the hotel is 80 years old and has been 5 star all this time. You will feel that 80 years, everything old and outdated. The location is good, everything nearby. Staff is good as well.

This hotel has a lot going for it, and you can tell it was the place to be in its heyday. That said, it feels a bit worn down now. The room was very clean but not soundproof, and there weren’t many outlets. The TV would randomly turn on to a static screen every morning at the same time (maybe it’s haunted… not mad if it is!). There was also a hiccup with our reservation: we received a text saying we were due to check out even though we had two nights left. It was an honest mistake, but it did throw off part of our tour day. I’d recommend this hotel if you’re looking for something basic, but go elsewhere if you want a more elevated experience.

Well-located with lots of Old World charm such as the wood-paneled bar area off the lobby, the Claridge could nonetheless use some attention to detail and a cosmetic touch-up. The service in the bar was chaotic and slow despite a lack of customers, and the room had no clothes hangars in the closet. The bathroom was clean and serviceable but very small. The pool was welcome in the heat and the gym had plenty of equipment. As a clock fan, I appreciated the working English grandfather clock in the lobby.

The pool was a welcome addition to our stay. We enjoyed our time relaxing by the pool and the attendant was awesome. The breakfast buffet was good and convenient. The receptionists were very friendly and answered all our questions.

A localização do HOTEL é EXCELENTE. Excelente mesmo. Da pra fazer muitas coisas a pé, sempre tem táxi próximo. Da pra ir a pé, por exemplo, pra galeria pacífico , café tortoni, obelisco, entre muitas outras coisas. Pedi a diária sem café da manhã, o que super recomendo pq café da manhã de hotel em Buenos Aires deixa a desejar e tem excelentes opções próximas ao hotel. Se puder selecionar pra pagar na acomodação, pelo que perguntei lá no hotel sairia mais em conta. CONTRA: o banheiro. Banheiro e bem ruim, apertado, não tem espaço pra nada. O banho é em pé numa banheira com uma cortina velha que muitas vezes toca em você durante o banho (devido à falta de espaço) e ainda molha o banheiro todo. Minha namorada tbm reclamou bastante do secador de cabelo, mas é ruim em hotéis em geral.

Property is half block from Calle Florida, two blocks from Galerías Pacífico, six blocks from Teatro Colón, and eight blocks from Plaza de Mayo. Convenient and walkable to much of central Buenos Aires. Nice pool in the summertime, but not kid friendly. Most of pool is 7 foot deep, and even shallow end is 4 feet. No lifeguard, so kids should be with an adult and be good swimmers. WiFi is mediocre. Works well when not busy, but is quickly overloaded much of the day. Hotel is a bit shabby, with some obvious deferred maintenance, typical for Argentina which is currently suffering very high inflation. Hotel staff is friendly, helpful, and very attentive. I consider this a great property for my wife and I. But people with young children should go elsewhere. Probably was a 4 star hotel 20 years ago, I would rate it as a 3 1/2 star today.
