We stayed for a couple days including Canada day. As expected there was a lot of people but the Hotel and area did not seem crowded. The elevator was breaking down off and on all weekend which was unfortunate but we lucked out on checkout day. The room service option are good. Smash burgers and fish & chips are excellent. The boardwalk and surrounding area is a really good area to just explore and have a taste of the island. The pool/Spa area is very large but could use some updating(lots of cracked tile areas marked off) Breakfast was most excellent and at a reasonable price. Would absolutely recommend this Hotel if in the area.

The parking costs extra but was really worth it - underground safe heated parking! Room was great, staff were all amazing every one. Cute little gift shop. Restaurant was fantastic, i had room service.

Great location hotel with safe car parking. Pool looked good and we did use the free laundry services which worked well. The reception gentleman was very friendly on check in and the other two gentleman, Donald and the young man from Delhi were very efficient and helped with our issues. Rooms were comfy with water replenished daily but be aware a partial Seaview for us was one where on a higher floor you could see, if you looked out of a side window, over the houses at the front of the hotel. It didn't; bother me but I was expecting the room to be by the ocean side. Breakfast staff whilst we were there not really engaging with customers and having to be reminded on things and I could see some guests not tipping them for that reason but food were good portions. Evening meal staff very engaging whilst we were there and we enjoyed our meal late at night. We had a problem with little sleep the first night due to a faulty and very loud water condensation system but it was sorted out quickly the next day. We bought some lovely local handmade gifts in the gift shop at the hotel. We would definitely stay again.

The Delta has always been one of my favourite hotels in Charlottetown. It always smells nice. Staff are so friendly. I love the parking option especially in winter since it’s indoor. Three elevators so they are quick. Rooms are a good size. Beds are comfortable.

It would have been nice to know that there were renovations going on, and maybe that should’ve been reflected in the room rate. Also, the floor in the men’s change room at the pool is absolutely filthy, according to the bottom of my feet. Wear flip-flops or something. Other than that, the property is excellent. Great bed, great room, great breakfast, excellent sleep, not dry and good temperature.

Great location, excellent room, helpful friendly staff. My one complaint was the fitness faculty: great equipment, nice location with a view BUT no towels, no disinfectant wipes to clean equipment before/after use; there wasn’t even toilet paper in the washroom.

I had booked the hotel to enjoy the hot tub however kids kept jumping in even after I told them not to. It needs some staff supervision. The hallways were very noisy.

It is in a great spot, on the harbour, walking distance for even older persons, like myself to restaurants & cafes , pubs etc. Furniture is well used, our traveling companions had a bed that had dirty/bloody stained sheets. Staff immediately put them in another room, where they would have bee fine with just remaking the bed. All staff we had contact with were, very friendly & helpful.

As explained by other reviewers this place is old and outdated. The ambiance in the lobby is more damp and dark which is opposed to the lighting in the picture. Some room ceilings have openings and overall the carpet in the whole hotel is stained and smells.

Beautiful location, downtown and on the waterfront. We could walk to the restaurants and historic sites in Charlotte town. The carpet in our room was stained and dirty. The fridge in the room had a high pitched noise. Although they came to reset it, made that high pitched sound intermittently Bathroom wall was stained.

Hotel is in dire need of an upgrade and a good scrub. The lobby and hallways felt like I walked back into 1992. The room was ok other than the carpets and walls were dirty. I had to put towels down in front of the door to block the 1” gap that was letting in light and noise from the hallway. The pillows were super lumpy. Not worth the price. I’ve stayed at way nicer hotels for a lot cheaper. The only thing going for the hotel is the prime location.

I loved staying at this hotel in Charlottetown. It was near the water where there was COWS icecream and little shops. The parking was convenient as well and the staff were so friendly. I had one unfortunate thing happen where my room wasn’t cleaned by 4pm. I could tell a staff visited because the $10 tip I left behind was gone. My family and I couldn’t rest after a long day. Luckily, the front desk took care of it right away. This is the first time this happened to me and I’ve stayed at Marriott chain my whole life (over 25 years).

A very nice hotel in beautiful Charlottetown. The wind was so wicked we could not walk downtown or to dinner, had to drive, so we did not get to enjoy the town as much as we expected, which is regrettable. The parking garage is tight. Neither of us found the bed particularly comfy, but the room was a nice size.

The hotel is well-situated in downtown Charlottetown within easy walking distance of the waterfront, shops, and a plethora of dining options. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly. A major and puzzling drawback was the rooms do not have safes or, unbelievably, mini-refrigerators. The staff, upon an inquiry, did bring a portable mini-fridge that could be used. Why a Marriott hotel would not have either of the two above items is beyond me. Finally, the parking was not included in the fairly high cost of the room rate and the buffet breakfast was significantly-over priced. Despite the negatives, we would recommend the hotel because of the location.

Overall the stay was okay. Our room we booked a few weeks prior was taken already so at arrival they upgraded us from a queen bed ocean view to a king size bed with an ocean view that was an accessible person room. The shower was a walk in and it didn’t keep the water inside the shower. We ended up taking towels from the pool area and putting them all over our floor in the bathroom and told the workers what we did. Upon entering the room it was FREEZING, we turned the heat on until it was a warmer temperature and then left it at a nice cool feeling that was comfortable for us. The rooms you could hear the neighbours. The bed was comfortable and clean but I lost a piece of jewelry so I had to move the matress for a second and the cords / extension cords behind the bed was beyond dusty and the morning before we left we found a dirty q tip behind there YUCK! Overall the stay was okay but over $1000 for 2 nights with the small amount of situations we had was NOT worth the price. Would I stay here again? Unfortunately no not for that price, the q tip/dust we found and the water all over the bathroom floor.

We made our reservations weeks in advance and upon arrival were informed by the hotel that they were overbooked. We stayed at another nearby hotel. This is the Delta's fault as well as Expedia's. We are planning a New Zealand trip but now fear going through Expedia.

Lovely Marriott hotel. The service staff was a big disappointment. We requested clean glasses/paper coffee cups and never delivered. The toilet needed to be cleaned. It was necessary to track down housekeeping to get a replacement roll of toilet paper. After spending 4 days at Marriott Harborside in Halifax I was expecting the same service. Next time I’ll find another hotel.

For $700 a night, to say “disappointed” is an understatement. First we tried to book TWO rooms, both said they were available, once we put the credit card info in only 1 of the rooms were actually available and my group were split up. Then one of the receptionists were horribly rude. They gave us a key to SOMEONE elses room!! We walked in on a couple and when we went downstairs the staff said they “didnt know” how that happened. once we finally got into our appropriate room their was a message in the fridge with a bottle of champagne for a different guest. Overall I’m disgusted with this hotel. From the outdated rooms, to rude staff, to overall experience. Do yourself the favour and never stay here!!!

We enjoyed a lovely two nights stay at this hotel. It was so close to the waterfront and all the great attractions and shops. We also used it as a base to drive one day to Cavendish Beach and had a green Gables. The breakfast was great, and staff were super friendly and attentive to our needs.

Although the hotel was clean and the staff were helpful, it's evident that the property is due for another refresh. Accessing the underground parking requires some serious maneuvering to reach the card reader—I can't imagine a senior being able to manage it. I was also disappointed that parking wasn't included in my stay, especially since many other hotels in the area offer it for free. Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet was the worst meal I've ever had at a hotel. Despite some positive aspects, I wouldn't choose to stay here again.
