Clarence Court Hotel

Really clean and well decorated. Excellent friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Hotel car park was rather small with spaces that are too narrow.

We enjoyed our stay at Clarence Court while visiting family in the area. It was clean and close to shopping and restaurants. Onsite parking, restaurant and bar were especially convenient.

Internet can be dodgy but rooms good if you are lucky and great breakfast included. Gym membership

Wish we had had the option of reserving king bed beforehand, as we got a room with 2 full beds and would have preferred a king (the friends we were traveling with got a king and a much fancier room, but I had made both reservations). Room was very spacious, but bathroom had 2 lights out which didn’t get fixed for the 2 days we were there (we were told that the maintenance person doesn’t work on the days we were there). No elevator, so lugging our 50-pound bags up and down 3 flights of stairs was difficult. Breakfast was great! Overall a positive experience, but I was somewhat disappointed with the things I mentioned.

Really cosy hotel with friendly staff, the breakfast was great in the morning, it was a lovely stay, parking is a bit tight but with the help of staff we were able to squeeze the cars in

Disappointed. Pictures make it look like there is a pool steam room and sauna at the premises. It even lists sauna and steam room and the main picture shows a lovely pool. In reality they give you a feee pass to a pool at a leisure club/boxing gym which is a 5 min walk away.

An amazing relaxing stay. Becky and her staff were wonderful she even invented a cocktail for us. Gareth the head chef gave us an amazing personal service. Great location just a little walk from Clarence Square you find the Brewery Quarter.

Depends on the room you get allocated . They have a deal with Everlast Gym and breakfast was great

Check-in staff were excellent considering my arrival was late at night! Very comfy bed and the breakfast was delicious! Fantastic location, so close to the town centre and good free parking. Would defo stay here again!

The hotel was not suitable for a 4 star rating. No lifts! It was difficult with a push chair and an infant.

Everything you want in a hotel short stay. Clean room ,good breakfast and friendly staff.

We received a warm welcome on arrival though room was not ready yet (which we expected). It was a nice building but a little tired in places. The window frame to the room had bare wood and flaking paint and some of the frame was rotten. Some of the wallpaper was peeling away. Despite this it appeared clean and it was a good location. Breakfast was nice too. However it should be stated there was no lift which could be a problem to elderly or infirm. This should be made clear on the website.

The bathroom tap wasn’t capable of running cold water. The WiFi password didn’t work. There was only one bath towel. Lovely hotel, in a perfect location for the town...10 min walk. Used Hotel as a base to easily get to Cotswolds with places like Bourton in Water, Broadway and Chipping Campden, all pretty accessible. Hotel was clean and tidy, and our room very spacious. Breakfast was excellent with vast choices. Service was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely part of the world and would visit again

I recently stayed at [Hotel Name] for one night and overall, it was a mixed experience. **Pros:** - **Convenient Parking:** We found on-site parking as promised, which was very convenient. - **Warm Welcome:** We received a lovely, warm welcome upon arrival, which set a positive tone. - **Beautiful Room:** The room was beautifully decorated and incredibly clean, as was the bathroom. - **Excellent Breakfast:** The breakfast was excellent, an absolute feast with a wide variety of options. **Cons:** - **Insufficient Towels:** Unfortunately, there was only one bath towel for two people, one bathrobe, no floor mat, and no face towels, which was inconvenient. - **Noise Issues:** We had very noisy guests in the room above us who kept us awake until 1 AM. Despite reporting it a few hours before, nothing was done to address the issue. - **Limited Coffee:** During breakfast, we only managed to get one coffee as it ran out and was not replenished. Despite these issues, the hotel staff was accommodating the next day by allowing us to keep our car in the car park a couple of hours after check-out so we could go shopping. Overall, while there were some disappointments, the lovely room and excellent breakfast made it a decent stay. I would suggest the hotel improve its attention to guest requests and ensure adequate supplies in the rooms.

Great historic property, attentive staff, and the room was very nice and clean. Dinner onsite was really delicious as well, and breakfast was excellent.

Our room was a little tired. Also some maintenance required such as ceiling paper and flooring.

The room was so lovely and clean and all the Staff were very polite and nice i highly recommend this hotel

Short stay. Everyone was great, food good, service perfect. The rooms are a wee bit small with no great place to put down a 2nd suitcase. We managed and it was still bigger than another place we stayed. Other than that, it was a great location and we would stay there again!

Traditional hotel, room was quite small but only stayed 1 night so wasn't a major issue. Bathroom was also small, there was no door on the shower, just a screen so water went all over the bathroom. Food was good and staff were helpful and pleasant.

Stay here a lot because of breakfast and gym Room 9 is just too hot.

Had a lovely short stay here- room comfort, ambience and service were absolutely top notch. We were staying in one of the larger rooms that the hotel had to offer and were rather spoiling ourselves - but absolutely we believe we made the right choice as the room had wonderful space and comfort. The front desk staff were lovely both at check in and check out and can also say that the lady running breakfast was really friendly and cheerful which had a nice positive effect. The walk into the town centre wasn't too far, and the local area was quiet. We would definitely plan to stay again of were were in town.

If you want an artic experience and have a freezing cold room with radiator on but not adequate for siz of room and bathroom with no heating then the Clarence hotel is for you. -2 last night ice formed on inside of bedroom windows. all reception could say it’s an old building it’s hot in the summer and cold in winter and would give me a better room if we were to come back again. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody.

Another pleasurable stay at the Clarence. Room was quiet and comfortable with all necessary facilities.

Hotel appeared to have a gym and pool, this turned out to be off site, which I dont think was clear from their listing. Hotel itself was good, room a bit small but we only had standard. Shower temp in room 8 was way too hot couldn't get it to cool off and needs some attention

Becky & Ellie were excellent members of staff and both were warm, welcoming and chatty which we liked. I would definitely stay there again. Some maintenance is needed, with that said, the hotel has character and we all liked it.

Lovely hotel, comfy with dog friendly option. No pool onsite. Good service with prompt attention to put things right when there is a problem. Well done for that. Lovely regency square with park/gardens located 3 mins from town centre. Dozen car spaces and ample NCP space only 1 min walk. Would definitely return.

Very nice place and staff are great, the breakfast was delicious and also the restaurant had great food it tasted like Michelin star quality foods, all around are clean, and we found out there that it was once The Duke of Wellington's house so they are trying hard to keep that feel alive so some might say need upgrades in some places but then you loose that feel. Next time in the area surly will be staying here again. Thank you hotel team

Good location rooms a little tired . Breakfast very good but bar prices poor. Gin and tonic bar had no lemon slice or cucumber and charged Over £17. The little touches from staff are missing. Could be a great hotel with a little effort

I understand that it’s difficult doing food but the food here was really bad. I was extremely tired so just leftmost of it and went to bed.

A very good independent hotel. The quality of the food was high, with a freshly cooked breakfast, and an excellent evening menu with interesting, and very enjoyable dishes.
