Firstly, the amenities were shockingly unhygienic Even the common areas such as the lobby and hallways, were poorly maintained with visible dust and grime. The dinner at the hotel's restaurant was utterly wasteful. The food quality was subpar with dishes that were either overcooked or lacked flavor entirely. The presentation was unappealing and the buffet spread looked unappetizing and stale. Moreover, the staff exhibited a disappointing attitude throughout my stay. From the front desk to the restaurant servers there was a pervasive sense of indifference and rudeness. My requests for assistance were met with reluctance and even outright hostility at times. This kind of service is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one with a five-star rating. The lack of hygiene, poor food quality and unprofessional staff attitudes made for an unpleasant visit. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a truly five-star experience.

Nice front desk team. A/C and other things worked well. Food was very good overall. However, this hotel should not be allowed to carry the Courtyard by Marriott name. It is run down, not maintained well. Our rooms (I had three rooms) we're not clean, specially the bathrooms. The hallway floors and carpets have stains.

Bitten by bed bugs ... the last thing you expect in a hotel with this rating and promise. Never knew Marriott hotels allowed such neglect in their properties. Do not think will ever use this hotel in our lives.

The corridor was outdated and clearly in need of refurbishment. When we entered the room, we were dismayed. The sheets were so thin you could actually see the mattress underneath. We left immediately and booked a room at the Hyatt instead. Honestly shocking for a Marriott brand hotel.

Driver meeting us at the airport at 05:30 was 20 minutes late. No explanation or recompense. Then luggage was not delivered to room for over an hour until we went to reception to collect it ourselves. We just wanted to go to sleep. At the end of our stay we needed a taxi for a 4 minute drive. They wanted to charge 1200 plus tax. We took an Uber for 150. Housekeeping also took 2 days and repeated requests to provide an extra toilet roll. You may well expect a spare in a hotel of this standard!

I liked the location. Room.service needs improvement. Was slow a d got requests all mixed up. Soap dispenser in the shower was horrendous. I wonder who approved the purchase of tge hard to use dispensers. Breakfast buffet was fabulous, so was the dinner buffet. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Not on par with Marriott in USA. Booked through Expedia. Unfortunately, between Expedia and hotel the booking was a mess. They charged my card for two adults even though only one adult stayed. Still waiting for refund. The package said inclusive of dinner and laundry - only to find few days after check in that it’s not! Expedia was unhelpful and so was hotel staff. Do yourself a favour and book a nearby Raintree hotel which had excellent staff and response. Check in took lot of time. The rooms were nothing special but clean. There is no nearby (walkable) restaurants or shopping. There are no perks and for that matter even simple requests (like newspaper delivery to room) are not taken care of. There are too many staff taking messages and directing you to someone else who don’t act on your request. But overall overpriced and not worth the price. Too many better choices nearby specially for women solo traveler!

A little dated property - however very clean and with decent ammenities. Nice breakfast buffet . Staff is helpful . Check in was a bit delayed as we were made to wait for over 30 mins ( guests jumping queue , receptionists not paying attention etc). The coffee shop can have more options - we had guests over and met them at the coffee shop, would have wanted to see more food options like rolls ,, sandwiches etc. Would love to visit again. Thanks to Nasim at the reception for taking care of us .

My family and I recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Chennai, and we were blown away by the entire experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the utmost care and professionalism. The highlight of our stay, without a doubt, was the incredible food. The breakfast and dinner buffets were absolutely superb! The selection was vast, catering to all tastes with a brilliant mix of local Indian delicacies and international classics. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It was a culinary delight we looked forward to every day. What truly made our stay special, however, was the exceptional staff. They are a tremendous asset to the hotel. I would like to give a special shout-out to a few individuals who went above and beyond: Ashit was incredibly attentive, anticipating our needs and ensuring we had everything we could possibly want. Tamanna was so helpful and gracious, providing excellent recommendations and assistance with a warm smile. Washid also took great care of us, and his service was impeccable. While these individuals stood out, the sentiment extends to each and every member of the staff we encountered. Everyone, from the front desk to the housekeeping team, looked after my family with genuine kindness and efficiency. We left feeling not just like guests, but like valued friends. Thank you for a memorable stay. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Chennai!
