A beautiful resort, right on the river, close to town activities but far enough away for peace and quiet. Lovely staff and the best buffet breakfast that we’ve had on a month long trip. Wonderful large clean pool too. A definite place to come back to!

A beautiful property suffered from a major flood a few months back. It is clear they are still recovering. Our room was beautiful, spacious, quiet, and clean. The resort has a great spa and breakfast. The property has grown trees beautifully kept with tasteful decoration. The general manager greeted us every morning. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and polite except for the main person at the front desk. This is why we rated the proper four stars instead for of five. The hotel site & guest booklet suggested that we contact the front desk for most of our questions. However, we stayed for 5days/4 nights and every time we sought help from the front desk we had to deal with the most unhelpful and unenthusiastic receptionist. We had to force her to say hello to us and probed her to answer questions otherwise she would just say and looked at us blankly. My daughter thought it maybe because we are Thai and not foreigners. She needs a new career option & the resort definitely needs an enthusiastic happy front desk person who is willing to step out in front to assist guests. We dreaded having to ask for help from the front desk and hope that other guests didn’t have similar experience. If so, it is so unfortunate for such a wonderful team of staff & a great facility

We arrived early at the hotel and we were able to checkin earlier after a short waiting time. The room was lovely and well equipped. The shower was huge and there were tools for a thai bath. The hotel location is calm and the garden is beautiful with water. The restaurant and food were good with a lot of choice. Disappointing was the cold water in the pool. Only 10 minutes walk from the hotel is a vanilla farm, where we made an appointment for a tour.

Staff friendly and helpful. Room quite and comfortable. Shower fantastic. Used spa facilities which I highly recommend. Swimming pool was good and position of the hotel by the river, the ambience was relaxing and you felt chilled. Restaurant was lovely and wine selection very good. Breakfast good selection. Booked a trip from the hotel which was very good.

I would like to thank all the staff at the Legend Hotel for their wonderful hospitality. I was so happy there, that I extended my trip by a few more days. Eric the GM, and Stefan were always around to make sure everything was good, and they advised and recommended various things. The one day tour to see the 9 sights in Chiang Rai with JTTT was fantastic and a good price at THB1000 per person. The restaurants onsite included an italian restaurant and local thai food, so you had a great selection to choose from, and it was really good quality and tasty. All the staff were friendly and helpful - everything served with a smile - thank you to Mai and her team. The pool was wonderful, and I spent many hours there on my trip. This hotel is a bit out of town, so use Grab to get a taxi etc. but it was so peaceful with lovely views of the river it is worth being slightly out of town. The only recommendations I would suggest are: - please sell large bottles of water, especially by the Pool. - I know I was there out of season, but it would have been good if the waiting staff made rounds around the pool to clear up dirty plates etc, but also to take orders for food & drink. I know we could call, but it would be good to see the staff walking around helping!

Accessibility to river, it is lovely for those that seek quietness and tranquillity. Lots of mosquitoes around but the hotel provides repellents for comfort of guests. The facility is a little worn out but kept in good shape.

Meget rolige omgivelser. Her kan man rigtig slappe af. 2 km ind til byen klares billigt med en Bolt / Taxi Morgenmaden ikke så spændende. God aftensmad i restauranten. Der er mange tjenere men kun en i baren til at levere drikkevarer. Så altid lang ventetid på at få noget at drikke, om det er i poolbaren eller på restauranten.

Excellent complexe hôtelier! Bien entretenu, personnelle très attentif, service impecable et les jardins sont magnifiques. Le buffet déjeuner est très bon. Nous avons adoré notre séjour, je le recommande vivement.

El lugar es muy lindo, la vista junto al río es hermosa. Es un hotel ya algo viejito pero muy limpio. Todo el staff fue muy amable y el gerente Éric, siempre al pendiente. La regadera de nuestro cuarto era GIGANTE, no sabemos para que jajaja pero fue interesante. El lugar es tranquilo y está cercano de puntos céntricos de la ciudad.

A very restful setting. This hotel takes advantage of the Kok River which flows throughs Chiang Rai. The rooms are in a beautiful garden setting. They are clean, air-conditioned, and well maintained. Staff are delightful. It is a 5 minute ride ~2km from the clock tower in the centre of town. Transport and tours to any location can be arranged from the desk. We would be delighted to stay here again.

We had an amazing stay. We spent a little more to be closer to nature and away from the town and it was definitely worth it. While still walkable to the town and the night markets, The Legend offers a nice secluded vibe with an amazing staff who are well versed in hospitality. The GM there, Eric Hallin, is a warm and convivial host. He personally greeted us at our check in and made sure to touch base with us at breakfast or in passing throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. He could always be found making rounds during mealtimes chatting with all the guests and making sure everyone was satisfied. The rooms were very clean and spacious and it was a quiet, comfortable sleep. The pool area backs on to the river and we loved enjoying happy hour with a great view. Would highly recommend!

Ha sido una experiencia maravillosa. El personal sùper atento y amable. Las instalaciones estàn muy bien cuidadas y no paras de ver gente trabajando para que estè todo precioso. Las habitaciones amplias y muy limpias. El desayuno de calidad y las cenas espectaculares con restaurante Thai e Italiano.

Joli hôtel en bord de rivière. Nous avions une grande chambre avec terrasse. L’hôtel est a 5 min en tuktuk du centre où a 20 min pied. Le petit-déjeuner est bon mais toujours le même. Le restaurant de l’hôtel est bon mais assez élevé niveau prix. La piscine est jolie mais très froide car presque toujours à l’ombre, dommage de ne pas la chauffer. Le chauffage serait également bienvenu dans la chambre, la nuit les températures descendent beaucoup et il y fait froid, mais pas de chauffage d’appoint ni de couverture supplémentaire. De plus le lit est un peu trop ferme. Les jardins sont jolis mais certains endroits mériteraient un peu d’attention. En conclusion un hôtel agréable mais des points à améliorer

The Legend is a lovely hotel by the river. The rooms are large charming cottage-style, some with patio and the sound of fountains. The hotel restaurant we chose (there a two) has very good Thai food at reasonable prices. Service is exceptional.

A very restful setting. This hotel takes advantage of the Kok River which flows throughs Chiang Rai. The rooms are in a beautiful garden setting. They are clean, air-conditioned, and well maintained. Staff are delightful. It is a 5 minute ride ~2km from the clock tower in the centre of town. Transport and tours to any location can be arranged from the desk. We would be delighted to stay here again.

It was out-dated room a bit but in a good way for me. Something that makes you feel like traveling back in time in Chaing Rai. the GM Eric and all staffs are so kind and friendly. Their hospitality mind just out of the wolrd for this price point. I never had any breakfast with live thai traditional music before and I can see all the attention to details for creating such a nice ambience to the place. Magical ! Thank you for the experience

Quiet setting about 1 Mile walk into town. We had a room with our own private pool which was very nice and we used it daily. The jetted tub in our bathroom wasn’t working but it turned out it was a fuse tripped and the maintenance reset for us. We should have asked them to do this sooner. Breakfast was good. Enjoyed the music at night. Our suite was big enough for a family!

Resort itself is very nice, next to 'KOK river. The staff however are not always professional. The GM Eric was rude in the begining and didnt care about the inconvenience that the check in staff brought to us, by ordering us either to move out or move to other room on the 2nd day. We bookef 5 nights and the only request we had is gave us a room that we dong need to move and it was agreed. But unfortunately, this waa not the case, we were told by late evening on our 2nd day we have to move to other room! It was such an unpleasant experiences! Though other staff are very froebdly and polite.

The Legend is a lovely hotel by the river. The rooms are large charming cottage-style, some with patio and the sound of fountains. The hotel restaurant we chose (there a two) has very good Thai food at reasonable prices. Service is exceptional.

A beautiful property suffered from a major flood a few months back. It is clear they are still recovering. Our room was beautiful, spacious, quiet, and clean. The resort has a great spa and breakfast. The property has grown trees beautifully kept with tasteful decoration. The general manager greeted us every morning. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and polite except for the main person at the front desk. This is why we rated the proper four stars instead for of five. The hotel site & guest booklet suggested that we contact the front desk for most of our questions. However, we stayed for 5days/4 nights and every time we sought help from the front desk we had to deal with the most unhelpful and unenthusiastic receptionist. We had to force her to say hello to us and probed her to answer questions otherwise she would just say and looked at us blankly. My daughter thought it maybe because we are Thai and not foreigners. She needs a new career option & the resort definitely needs an enthusiastic happy front desk person who is willing to step out in front to assist guests. We dreaded having to ask for help from the front desk and hope that other guests didn’t have similar experience. If so, it is so unfortunate for such a wonderful team of staff & a great facility

We had an amazing stay. We spent a little more to be closer to nature and away from the town and it was definitely worth it. While still walkable to the town and the night markets, The Legend offers a nice secluded vibe with an amazing staff who are well versed in hospitality. The GM there, Eric Hallin, is a warm and convivial host. He personally greeted us at our check in and made sure to touch base with us at breakfast or in passing throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. He could always be found making rounds during mealtimes chatting with all the guests and making sure everyone was satisfied. The rooms were very clean and spacious and it was a quiet, comfortable sleep. The pool area backs on to the river and we loved enjoying happy hour with a great view. Would highly recommend!

We loved this hotel. It’s position on the river is stunning. The staff are lovely. My father left his passport in the safe by mistake and it was sent by courier to him immediately which was fantastic. Thank you so much.

I would like to thank all the staff at the Legend Hotel for their wonderful hospitality. I was so happy there, that I extended my trip by a few more days. Eric the GM, and Stefan were always around to make sure everything was good, and they advised and recommended various things. The one day tour to see the 9 sights in Chiang Rai with JTTT was fantastic and a good price at THB1000 per person. The restaurants onsite included an italian restaurant and local thai food, so you had a great selection to choose from, and it was really good quality and tasty. All the staff were friendly and helpful - everything served with a smile - thank you to Mai and her team. The pool was wonderful, and I spent many hours there on my trip. This hotel is a bit out of town, so use Grab to get a taxi etc. but it was so peaceful with lovely views of the river it is worth being slightly out of town. The only recommendations I would suggest are: - please sell large bottles of water, especially by the Pool. - I know I was there out of season, but it would have been good if the waiting staff made rounds around the pool to clear up dirty plates etc, but also to take orders for food & drink. I know we could call, but it would be good to see the staff walking around helping!

It’s good hotel overall if you are staying at Chiang Raí for a day or two, not luxurious - it’s does the job. You have to have an open mind it in a small town and that’s pretty much what they have to offer. Over all ok for the price. Limited transportation, you have to arrange taxi for round trip if want to go to downtown

Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig, aber man ist in 15 Minuten zu Fuss in der Stadt. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das Restaurant, also das ist quasi ein Muss da das Essen hervorragend war. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Le restaurant de l’hôtel est bon mais assez élevé niveau prix. La piscine est jolie mais très froide car presque toujours à l’ombre, dommage de ne pas la chauffer. Le chauffage serait également bienvenu dans la chambre, la nuit les températures descendent beaucoup et il y fait froid, mais pas de chauffage d’appoint ni de couverture supplémentaire. De plus le lit est un peu trop ferme. Les jardins sont jolis mais certains endroits mériteraient un peu d’attention. En conclusion un hôtel agréable mais des points à améliorer

Ha sido una experiencia maravillosa. El personal sùper atento y amable. Las instalaciones estàn muy bien cuidadas y no paras de ver gente trabajando para que estè todo precioso. We love The Legend - stayed there a few times on our trips to Chiang Rai. The hotel has amazing location on the Kok river. The breakfast buffet is beyond amazing. All the food is special and fresh with local food options. Rooms are spacious with balcony area. All the staff was friendly and professional.

Meget rolige omgivelser. Her kan man rigtig slappe af. 2 km ind til byen klares billigt med en Bolt / Taxi Morgenmaden ikke så spændende. God aftensmad i restauranten. Der er mange tjenere men kun en i baren til at levere drikkevarer. Så altid lang ventetid på at få noget at drikke, om det er i poolbaren eller på restauranten.

Beautiful rooms, lovely grounds. Had the best massage at the spa: my masseuse could read my body and knew how to tailor the treatment accordingly. A minor quibble, but the bed pillows are enormous and firmly overstuffed, which I found uncomfortable. Otherwise a perfect stay.
