This is a superb family run hotel in a quiet location with beautiful views of the river and castle. It has ample parking and is within easy walking distance of the old town of Cochem. Our room was immaculate, spacious and comfortable with good facilities including a large balcony with table and chairs. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of foods, beautifully presented and served in the lovely restaurant with large windows giving a direct view across the river to the castle. There are also great terraces for use in good weather. The basement has a small gym and sauna and the terrific facility of an honesty drinks/wine fridge. We really enjoyed our short stay at the Hotel Am Rosenhugel and would love to return in summertime.

Sehr sehr angenehm überrascht Sehr sauber, modernes Zimmer, hab das schmale Doppelzimmer gebucht, mit Balkon, könnte von dort die Reichsburg sehen, ruhige Lage, und ein großer Parkplatz dabei Sehr leckeres Frühstück Buffet mit allem was man braucht um den Tag gut zu starten, dabei vom Frühstücksraum kann man die Reichsburg sehen. Das Personal sowie, ich denk, die Besitzer an der Rezeption sind sehr sehr freundlich Ich kann das Hotel zu 100 % weiter empfehlen 🔝

This is a great hotel in an ideal location for exploring Cochem and the surrounding area. Huge bonus having parking. Our room was very clean, large, quiet and comfortable. It was perfect. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. The public areas were very nice with amazing views from the dining area. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended

Pluses: Nice room Very good breakfast Nice view Good price Free parking Only 10 minute walk to restaurants and stores. Negatives: The ceiling is slanted on the side of headboard in the room we stayed. And we banged our head on it a few times. And I’m only 5’2”. As careful as we were, it happened. Only other negative was when we got breakfast and one of the ladies told us we couldn’t sit on the table by the window with 4 chairs, (it was only my husband and I, we’re Hispanic). She told us we had to go to a table for 2. There was 2 white ladies also on a table of 4 next to a window and nothing was said to them. Then another white couple came in and sat down on a table for 4 and also nothing was said to them. That feeling left a sour taste. I can understand if they needed room for more people but the eating area was big and not even half full.

Wij hadden een erg fijn verblijf! Vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt en een mooi uitzicht van op onze kamer. De indeling van onze kamer vonden we wat minder: we hadden namelijk een bed dat schuin stond, wat de kamer meteen heel wat kleiner maakte. Daarnaast is er ook geen airconditioning, wat ervoor zorgt dat je raam steeds open moet staan als je wat frisse lucht wil. Daardoor heb je ‘‘s nachts ook wel wat last van het straatverkeer.
Wij hadden een erg fijn verblijf! Vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt en een mooi uitzicht van op onze kamer. De indeling van onze kamer vonden we wat minder: we hadden namelijk een bed dat schuin stond, wat de kamer meteen heel wat kleiner maakte. Daarnaast is er ook geen airconditioning, wat ervoor zorgt dat je raam steeds open moet staan als je wat frisse lucht wil. Daardoor heb je ‘‘s nachts ook wel wat last van het straatverkeer.

The castle view room is worth it. The balcony is as nice to relax on at night. There is no A/C, however there was a fan in the room. It didn’t keep the room cold could probably use a bigger one or a second fan in the room. We had a very early train and the hotel accommodated a very early breakfast for us. Excellent location, quiet area within walking distance of everything - highly recommend.

Trevlig vistelse. Bra med självservice på vin och snax. Lätt att parkera. Fin utsikt. Tyst och lugnt. Lite hårda sängar. Hund kunde vara med överrallt, dock hade vi bokat med hund och när vi anlände var det osäkert om vi kunde ha hund med till frukost för var redan två andra hundar på boendet, löste sig när det väl var frukost men då vi inte häller fick ta upp på rummet trotts erbjudande att själva ta ner disk kändes det sådär inte häller dukat utomhus för mer plats. Lite. Bit att gå till centrum men inte farligt. De flesta restauranger låg dock på andra sidan. Ingen middags servering.

Pluses: Nice room Very good breakfast Nice view Good price Free parking Only 10 minute walk to restaurants and stores. Negatives: The ceiling is slanted on the side of headboard in the room we stayed. And we banged our head on it a few times. And I’m only 5’2”. As careful as we were, it happened. Only other negative was when we got breakfast and one of the ladies told us we couldn’t sit on the table by the window with 4 chairs, (it was only my husband and I, we’re Hispanic). She told us we had to go to a table for 2. There was 2 white ladies also on a table of 4 next to a window and nothing was said to them. Then another white couple came in and sat down on a table for 4 and also nothing was said to them. That feeling left a sour taste. I can understand if they needed room for more people but the eating area was big and not even half full.

The castle view room is worth it. The balcony is as nice to relax on at night. There is no A/C, however there was a fan in the room. It didn’t keep the room cold could probably use a bigger one or a second fan in the room. We had a very early train and the hotel accommodated a very early breakfast for us. Excellent location, quiet area within walking distance of everything - highly recommend.

Wij hadden een erg fijn verblijf! Vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt en een mooi uitzicht van op onze kamer. De indeling van onze kamer vonden we wat minder: we hadden namelijk een bed dat schuin stond, wat de kamer meteen heel wat kleiner maakte. Daarnaast is er ook geen airconditioning, wat ervoor zorgt dat je raam steeds open moet staan als je wat frisse lucht wil. Daardoor heb je ‘‘s nachts ook wel wat last van het straatverkeer.
Wij hadden een erg fijn verblijf! Vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt en een mooi uitzicht van op onze kamer. De indeling van onze kamer vonden we wat minder: we hadden namelijk een bed dat schuin stond, wat de kamer meteen heel wat kleiner maakte. I had an excellent stay at the Rosenhugel in June. The owner/hosts Hildegard & Monika were very friendly and considerate. My train was delayed and I arrived after check in time, but Monika arranged for self check in with a key card which was perfect. The included breakfast was hearty and very fresh and all of the staff greet the guests with a warm Guten Morgen! each day. The views of the town and schloss across the Mosel river were fantastic, especially at sunset. I would defintly stay here again, I think it would be very cozy and welcoming in the cooler Fall season as well. Well done!
