Casa del Mar Cozumel Hotel & Dive Resort with free access to an exclusive beach club

The ocean view was great. The restaurant was a nice touch right next to the pool. I enjoyed my stay.

Clean room, very friendly staff. Pool and hot tub were a lifesaver when the weather was bad on the beach. Make sure to checkout the included beach club, takes about 20 minutes to get there but it’s worth the drive. Quiet and pretty beach club with lots of lounges.

Pool bar and restaurant were very nice…

Room was basic but sufficient except for the quality and consistent of wifi (constantly disconnected and when I could connect, it was very slow). Staff was also quite unfriendly (and at times, quite ornery) and often not helpful. Convenient location to dive shop I used (I did not use dive shop at resort because Gabriela was very unhelpful and slow to respond ... their loss for losing business when their staff has so much attitude).

Staff was not friendly! Acted like we were bothering them. From the room, called down to front desk for a blanket as there was only a sheet on the bed, no comforter. No one answered. Subsequently, walked down to front desk to get one, where there was person sitting there, and was told I had to wait until the next day for a blanket. Dumfounded, I asked again for a blanket and the man begrudging got up and retrieved one. Nothing more than pure laziness! Beds are very hard, like sleeping on plywood. Staff did not give us any details about the amenities included in our stay or even available at the resort. Thankfully, I read up on my own and learned of the private beach club we had access to down the road as it was very nice. Food at the restaurant was sub-par and when I inquired about adding shrimp to my pasta instead of chicken, I was again told NO! No way they could add a few shrimp to it despite me offering to pay extra for it. I would not stay here again.
