Great restaurants and service. Friendly staff. Excellent on-site PADI diving centre. Beautiful pool area and large hot tub. Close enough to town to have a couple of dinners there to mix it up. Beach area with sandy entry is small but lovely. Beach on south side has rocky frontage with pier for entry but plus side is great snorkeling.

Best property in Cozumel. It has a small private beach with the most clear water you can think of. The setup is fantastic. A family pool by the side which is relatively busy… but it also offers a ver quiet pool surrounded by gardens in the back. The beach resembles a very small bay 40m long that ends up at two different restaurants, one on each end. Pricing is fair and clear. A couple of gourmet restaurants which are not cheap, maybe 3 if the beach club is included, but given the setting, reasonable for the place. The restaurants were very good. The design which is probably 4-5 decades old is fantastic. Sort of modern but with incredibly designed wooden furniture. Hotel migjt be aging a little bit, so maintenance demands seem to be increasing. A nice update would be great - but keeping it classic. Just make sure everthing works smoothly, don’t alter the vibe. Internet was solid as well. All in. A great experience.

Loved it for diving, snorkeling and ocean activities. Not walkable to town which is a great thing but plan to pay taxis. Loved the gym. Great for families and awesome swim beach area for little ones or if you don’t know how to swim. Bring flat shoes, lots of walking on the property from room to amenities.

The hotel is great. It is certainly one of the best in Cozumel. The only downside is that they want to charge you for everything. Around the pool, cabanas/beds are expensive. They charge you and expect tips even if you ask for a coffee. Chips and avocado for instance is charged the same as a dining plate at restaurant.

This was our second time at the Presidente, and it was even better this time around! We come during the rainy season ON PURPOSE to keep the crowds at bay. The property has changed a bit with the addition of the new spa building (4 years ago)- nicely appointed, with 3 plunge pools hot/normal/cold in a quiet section of the property. While I was relaxing by the pools listening to the rain and the birds, it sounded exactly like one of those soundtracks that you hear on a meditation app, except this was real! For those who haven't been to the property, everything is close together with coral rock in between. You won't have to walk far to get to any place on the property and with the coral rock pavement you wont have to worry about slipping even in the rain! I also have arthritis and they use ramps extensively which make a nice alternative to stairs- if you hate stairs, this is your place!

Positives, super friendly staff, very safe, very nice modern room, some of the best snorkeling in the world in on the beach in front the hotel, great gym and tennis court Negatives the food on site is a pretty pricey and to rent a kayak or paddle board is $30 usd an hour which is absurd not walkable I would absolutely stay here again though

Beautiful property with two large pools (one quiet pool and another for families / adults). The family pool is right near three great restaurants and sandy beach and amazing waters. Room was overlooking the ocean. Lots of mosquitoes. On my last day I noticed vector control was spraying where the rooms are located. Friendly and attentive staff. Great for a solo traveler wanting some peace and quiet and great for families as well. If you like more of a party scene, this is not the place for you. If you value peace and quiet or family time you will remember for years to come, you will enjoy this place. About 15 mins from city center. Never felt unsafe for a second (solo travel). Playa del Carmen a mere 45 min ferry ride. I recommend ultramar ferry (premium class: better seats and not cost prohibitive). I would definitely come back to this hotel with my family.

It is a lovely property with great staff. The restaurants were excellent. However, the property is aging, and it shows in several areas. We were in room 1102, and the Fabrick chairs were severely stained, and the fence outside needed staining or painting. Floor tiles are darker in some areas that might need cleaning or might be just worn.

Beautiful property. We upgraded from a king ocean view to a king reef view for $90 per night. Total waste of $450. View is no different. The food and drinks are great but also very expensive. This is NOT an all inclusive so my wife and I added another $2300 to our 5 day stay. We went with friends and many of us returned with hundreds of bites. This is not an exaggeration - hundreds. Mine were so bad on my ankles, legs, hips, back, arms, shoulders, and neck that I went to urgent care after 2 days of itching that would not stop. Nurse practitioner said it was bed bugs. That's what I thought too but to be fair, there's no definitive test. Could also be fleas, sand fleas, sand lice, and other fun options. Regardless of what it was, I think bed bugs, its is a really nasty way to end a trip. It has been a full week now and these things have not cleared up after a steroid shot, steroid cream, steroid pills, a tube and a half of topical Benadryl, literally every 2 hours to help stop the itching. We received 3 WhatsApp messages form the hotel while we were on property informing us they are doing "routine fumigation" around the property. They are definitely aware of the problem but you won't get them to admit it. Shady. Too bad, cool little spot if you want to look past a week of misery for going there.

We are quite convinced that this resort, a few years ago, would have been very nice, however it is now looking a little dated, worn, and, thus struggles to uphold a five star overall experience. For example, the ceilings in the rooms show very visible signs of previous water damage. The beach while small, is excellent, with access to crystal clear water. The staff work hard and are very friendly. Entertainment is lacking. Overall, it’s a nice resort and if Cozumel is your choice of destination, then this should be on your list to consider.

We had a sewage backup TWICE during our stay. Fecal matter bubbled up and into our bathroom in two separate places. It stunk terribly and we had to vacate the room for hours while the staff cleaned. After the second occurrence we asked to be moved and were placed in a similar room aside for the lack of a king bed. We had to sit around for almost two hours while the room was made up for us. This new room had two beds which was pretty unromantic considering I proposed to my then girlfriend during our stay. While I did get a “yes” the hotel only offered us a $100 credit and chocolate covered strawberries that were unfortunately covered in coconut. We both thought (as well as our friends and families) that this was pretty insulting considering the human waste in our room. Our trip was a small fortune, so it’s fair to say we’ll probably never come back to this resort.

Top to bottom one of the best reports we’ve stayed at. Their hospitality from check-in until check-out was OUTSTANDING. Christina at check-in went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The porter who helped with our bags was so kind and thorough showing us around our room and where everything was. The cleanliness from our room to the common areas is the resort was top notch. Fantastic stay!

Overall we had a great stay. Pros: the beach or pool are always a short walk away. We never had a hard time getting a chair on the beach or by the pool, it didn’t ever feel too crowded. Dock on the resort allows you to be picked up by dive shops which is awesome! Cons: Only issue we had was the lack of soundproofing in our room, we felt like we could hear every sound in the hallway, and often heard music from the pool area. I think the hotel is a good value for the price, some websites have it listed as a 5-star hotel and I just don’t think it quite met that level. But if you go in expecting a great 4/star hotel you won’t be disappointed.

Stayed as family in Jan 2025 (kids 6 & 9) in a premuim pool acces room. Had a fantastic time at this stylish well appointed luxury resort with lush well maintained grounds. Good ratio of capacity to resort size. Never felt crowded even though near full occupancy. Pools were always clean but hot tub wasn't always hot for some reason. Staff were plentiful, happy and helpful. Restaurant food quality and variety were excellent if pricey. Highly recommend including the amazing breakfest buffet in your stay. Loved the views at the relaxed waterfront restos. Dont forget to take advantage of happy hour at both bars. Small beach perfect for kids, and rocky coral shoreline has great snorkelling with abundant reef fish, rays, squid and shallow wreck. Bring a flashlight to find octopus hunting in the tide pools at night. The sand outside the coved beach area has a lot of rocky bits mixed in. Our room was quite spacious and nicely designed with natural wood features. Well maintained and not worn down. Only issue was the shower floor was not sloped enough toward drain which caused water to run into the bathroom if not blocked with floor mat. Outdoor deck with direct acces to tranquility pool was nice with lots of seating but was not covered enough. Since it rained everyday, the huge immovable cusion was always wet which was very annoying. Unfortunately I can't recommend the pool access rooms on the east side of the pool for this reason. West and south side decks were better covered.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. The hotel is very nice, with large and well-designed rooms and bathrooms. Very nice decoration in both indoor and outdoor places. The beach in front of the hotel is very beautiful. The rooms are clean and the bedding excellent. Internet access is also good. The personnel are polite and willing to help. The food though, is not of so good quality but this is something common for hotels in Mexico according to my opinion. I think it is a hotel that is worth staying at in Cozumel.

This is my second time at this hotel and it’s officially my favorite in Cozumel! Epic tropical landscaping lead you to a very modern hotel with a very welcoming staff ! Rooms are impeccably clean, large and recently remodeled! The breakfast buffet has been improved since last and was totally worth it! Awesome is right offshore of the beach ! I would 110% recommend and will absolutely be back! Side note the tennis court is one of coolest ones I have ever seen

Overall this is a very good hotel. The property is well maintained and the restaurants are good. Staff were friendly if not overly helpful. The room was excellent. HOWEVER.. there was no hot water in our room during our entire stay. None. The outdoor shower in our room was aesthetically terrific but it was not enjoyable to use when the water was always cold. In fairness we were trying to shower at peak times ie before dinner and in the morning but at this level of cost we were unhappy with cold shower after cold shower. If this was to get fixed I would definitely stay here again. It is quiet after 10pm. Town is a US$12 ride. The beach swimming area is larger than it looks in the photos. The pools are perfect. The hot tub is hot. There is only one store and it is not overpriced. There was a fridge, coffee and a safe in the room. The TV had a few US channels in English and a lot more in Spanish.

The property is 5-stars. Everything was cleaned and maintained to detail. Never saw any trash or messes. The “backyard” is a tropical reef with a pool and 2 bars/restaurants. Happy hour every afternoon. The room was spacious and serviced daily. My only complaint is that the room’s bathroom had no privacy. The only door was to the toilet and it didn’t have a lock. It’s fine for a family but otherwise, no privacy out the shower or at the sink.

The best beach, you could be in the ocean for hours at a time. We saw fishes, mantarays, barracuda, etc. The vibrant turquoise color is amazing. The rooms were fantastic (we had an outdoor shower and direct access to the beach). The restaurants were top notch . We rented an overwater cabana at Le Cap and was so worth it!

We have stayed at this property 5 times! It is beautiful—the ocean swimming and snorkeling are excellent. The infinity pool with view is wonderful. The breakfast buffet is delicious. Our ocean view room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The rain shower was great. The linens and paper products were first class. We would stay here again. However, we did have some disappointments this trip—our room was not ready at check in and was not ready even after the promised time. We were compensated $50 for the inconvenience. The double paned windows to the beach view had lost the sealant and were cloudy. Our fault for not complaining right away and asking for a different room. The service at the restaurants and the beach was inconsistent—some workers were friendly and wonderful, but others were lackadaisical.

Disappointing for the Price – You’re Paying for the Beach, Not the Experience I had high expectations for this resort given its stellar reviews and steep price point, but unfortunately, it fell short in several key areas. While the beach is undeniably beautiful, that’s about the only thing that justifies the cost. Service: Inconsistent at best. The beachside service was painfully slow—we waited far too long just to get a drink or order food, which is frustrating when you’re paying a premium. Basic requests for missing items in our room required multiple calls to the front desk, which shouldn’t be the case at a supposedly high-end resort. Rooms & Pricing: For what we paid, I expected much more. The rooms themselves were fine, but certainly not luxurious, and the fact that we had to repeatedly ask for missing essentials was disappointing. It feels remote but is close enough to town and shopping. I enjoyed the openness of the lobby, dining and the hallways. It has all the amenities but also a natural feel and I could hear the birds chirping at sundown and sunrise daily. The staff was very accommodating and really tried hard to make you feel welcome. It was my first time in Mexico so I learned a lot that would help me for the next time.

Best property on Cozumel, Rooms all nice we had two room suite next to beach with Jacuzzi.... worth it! Dive shop on property was great, snorkeling was great, food was great, staff was great. Only issue was hotel is next to inlet where the boats dock that serviced the cruise ships .... one day 5 cruise ships docked. Outside was like a highway... not tranquil .... Also hard to get there.. took 2.5 hours from Cancun, taxi, ferry, taxi.. Was disappointed the concierge could not help with transportation... ask who was vetted and who to use ... also would be good to let you know how to get there as you have to take a ferrym been nice to picj us up at Ferry building, had to take crapy taxi. In MX it is a chaos all the time... would have been nice that a 5 star hotel handled this. Liked the stay wont go back because of how busy it was with all the boats and people in the water from cruise ships.

Old but very well maintained property. Quiet and clean with the right amenities. The only issue is its proximity to the a small port (next door) and not very far from where the cruise ships are docked. The water was a little blurry every time we went snorkeling.

The hotel is beautiful and has a nice pool/beach area. It is safe and has 4 restaurants to choose from. The staff is very attentive and the rooms are great. The location of the hotel is off the main strip, so you would need to take a cab to town or restaurants. Not really walkable.

The best hotel I’ve stayed at in 7 trips to Mexico. No, it’s not all-inclusive but Cozumel is so expensive that the restaurants on site aren’t that wildly overpriced by comparison. Breakfast buffet is totally worthwhile. We could snorkel directly off the beach. It’s also not so far down the hotel zone that it’s a huge trek into town; it’s really not that far at all. From the service to the food to the staff and amenities, this place is absolutely top notch.

El hotel mantiene su nivel de excelencia. La única observación es que sus restaurantes bajo concesión que se publicitan como los mejores del hotel, no tienen la mejor calidad y sabor en alimentos. Ambos, el Alfredo Di Roma y el Faro, no superan el sazón y sabores del restaurante del hotel Le Cape….El hotel debería operar todos los restaurantes…

Wonderful and quiet and peaceful. Appreciated boxed water instead of bottles and fewer single use plastic items. Scuba shop was fantastic and had a couple of days of nice diving, but you can tell the cruise ships are causing reef degradation. Service was fantastic and I felt well cared for. Bed lovely. Heavenly scent in the room. My one criticism is the food and drinks. There are four restaurants and I tried them all. I’m not an overly picky person I don’t think, but I really struggled at all of them. Somehow even the breakfast buffet was super bland and even fruit juice and coffee tasted very watered down. Everything was over fried and burned tasting. The seafood was the best but honestly fried when it could have been grilled a lot of the time. The cochinita pibil was the best dish. That I could recommend.

What we liked: the setting, rooms, pools and the gym. The staff were very friendly and professional. The snorkeling just off the resort is amazing. Average: The breakfast was average, the coffee was terrible. Also, the other meals we ate at El Caribeno, Le Cap were okay. The food and desserts at Alfredo di Roma was better. What we did not like: Coffee was terrible, the courtesy call in the middle of the afternoon when we were napping was incredibly inappropriate. The weather was quite hot and humid for early April.

The property is beautifully maintained and the staff is so friendly and hardworking. The breakfast brunch was amazing, something for everyone including healthy options such as beets, green salad and chia seeds! The healthy options change daily. A senora makes tortillas and you can have quesadillas or tacos, plus all the usual breakfast offerings and lots of fresh fruit. I can't emphasize enough how well-run El Presidente is. The setting is beautiful.

Dive shop in the property is great but buffet breakfast was fit for a 2 star hotel not 5.
