Rooms are large and clean. Service is very bare bones. Housekeeping did not show up to clean during my stay, despite several requests. It was hard to get water and the hydration station on my floor was broken. One of 2 elevators was broken, making for long waits. Hotel did not communicate well and staff wasn’t very professional or friendly. I would not stay here again.

I typically don't write reviews but was highly impressed with our stay. The rooms were clean and spacious, the shower was hot and great pressure, the bed was comfy & slep great. The pool area was beautiful with 2 pools, hot tub, ping pong table & chess mat. The gym was nice & had everything you could need for a good workout. The hotel in general was modern and beautifully decorated. The location was good. We strolled across the bridge to walk to dinner. Free coffee in the morning in the lobby. We ate brunch in the restaurant and had a wonderful omelet. Overall for a quick trip for my sons baseball game it was a great experience and will definitely stay there again!

From the moment we walked into the lobby everything was pleasant. The aroma through out was lovely as well. Patrick in the restaurant was so helpful. The room was roomy and the bathroom great! A speaker in the bathroom mirror added to the ambience. The pools were great too. We will be back!

Overall, Cambria Hotels are always pretty nice. However, we were VERY disappointed to check in and find out that the pool wasn’t even finished yet. Hotels.com and their website show “pool” in amenities, but don’t note that it’s not operating. Honestly, pools can be a make or break for a summer trip in Texas heat. We had planned on lounging by the pool for a significant amount of time on that trip, so it was a big downside. I honestly wish we’d got a refund and gone elsewhere.

Lovely property with a nice artistic touch displayed throughout the area. Gym has everything you need and the pool is very large with plenty of lounge space for guests. Would definitely visit again.

They have a lot of hidden fees. They charge a cleaning fee however they don't swap out towels they just pick refold them all. The shower also had some hair on the wall. Nothing major but it never got cleaned cleaned the whole week I was there. I did like the location and the hotel was quiet at night.

Hotel was clean and nice and all and all a nice place to stay, but had a lot of little things that made our stay challenging. We stayed for three days. During this time our refrigerator, coffee maker, and lighting at that are didn’t work. Also, had to get new towels because the ones originally in our room had stains and felt dirty.

This was my first time staying at the Cambria property. From the time I arrived, the service was exceptional. The front desk agent was friendly and welcoming. The property was clean and had many modern conveniences. The room was beautiful and spacious. I would definitely stay there again and refer those I know who would need accommodations. 5 stars!!

The room was spacious and super clean. The hotel was quiet, super beautiful, elegant, and right in front of the river. They had a beautiful piano player downstairs from 6 PM to 11 PM on the weekend. It was close to everything.

The hotel was really nice clean staff was friendly, great restaurant and bar on site which is awesome downfall for my trip was there was no Internet intern no television all night and I am a person that needs noise when sleeping some of the pillows were a little too soft as well But I will go back whenever in town

The bed was titerakky was the loudest bed I have ever encountered. It sounded as if it was going to break as I entered or exited the bed. If you rolled over it sound so loud I am sure the neighbors thought something was going on in our bed. Terrible condition.

One thing unique is that there is no carpet in the rooms and the air conditioner is actually quiet. I don’t think I like how the bathroom door has frosted glass instead of a solid door. I like the nightlights you can turn on by your headboard.

Very nice accommodations. Comfy bed. Directly across street from Waco Suspension Bridge. Conveniently located to downtown and Baylor University. Check in was fast and easy. Front desk personnel friendly. Large beautiful bathroom and walk in shower. Will stay again.

Front desk was not approachable , no eye contact when checking out. We had opportunity to dine but staff seems not trained not even serving wine bottle , most staff was stretching g many times over bar. In room bed was not steady and was squeaky on minimun movement , no maintenance after 6pm, no laundry service .

This hotel could be nice if it was finished properly. There is still construction occurring at the hotel and the area directly around the hotel is under construction and developing. The lighting in our room was a challenge - it was very dim and there was an entire light missing from the coffee bar area (wire hanging from the ceiling). The beds have under bed frame lighting but one of them started flickering quickly after turning it on. The bed and pillows were pretty comfortable, but we struggled to cool the room without running the AC all night (and despite cool night time temps). The staff were kind and considerate.

Wonderful spacious room with modern furnishings. Easy walk from Baylor but some sidewalks missing. However, in the room noisy minibar and AC is noisy and hard to control. Restaurant staff inexperienced and unfriendly: slow to provide service (salt and paper?), and spills coffee on my table and does not even apologize or come to wipe it.

Beautiful hotel! Loved the atmosphere and it felt high end. I loved that the toilet in our bathroom had its own door. Loved the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom for getting ready and the bed was so comfortable with floor to ceiling blackout curtains! Only recommendation is that the tv be a smart tv with more viewing options.

Booking was canceled without me knowing. Showed up to hotel and was told my room was canceled because me card did not work, which i immediately updated on the Expedia website and they only reached out one time and didn’t not leave voicemail to return phone call. I work in a doctors office and can’t always answer my phone. I was told they tried to reach out multiple times but I only had one missed call and when I asked why no message was left so I knew who was calling I was told they did not have to leave a voicemail which I thought was ridiculous given how nice I expected the hotel to be. I was very unhappy given I am pregnant and did not have a place to stay when I arrived for my stay.

I absolutely LOVED the hotel! The staff was second to none, from the front desk to the maid staff. Everyone was both professional and kind. The rooms were spacious and VERY CLEAN! I loved everything about my experience there. I most definitely will be coming back there again!

We like the newness of the property. We like the ability to walk to McClane Stadium. The walkable paths and area around the hotel is beautiful due to its nearness to the Brazos and the bridges. It is not ideal however if you want to be in and walk within the downtown Waco neighborhood. It’s an easy drive but I’d recommend a hotel in downtown if you want to be in that neighborhood. The lobby, bar and restaurant are spacious and beautiful. Overall it’s a comfortable and very nice stay. Our fear is that over time when the newness wears off, lack of staffing will degrade the property. Although the present staff is friendly and willing to help but there’s just not eneough staff. In addition housekeeping fell short on service. We like the newness of the property. We like the ability to walk to McClane Stadium. The walkable paths and area around the hotel is beautiful due to its nearness to the Brazos and the bridges. I really liked this place. The room was nice. The shower was nice, I liked the big bathroom. Went down to the steakhouse for dinner and drinks and everything I had was good! Piano man playing was enjoyable to listen to as well. Super close to the down town area which was what I was there for so that was really nice too. Will def come back!

The hotel decor and rooms were beautiful. Spacious rooms and nice furniture. We were very underwhelmed by the breakfast though. One table with only scrambled eggs, greasy bacon and potatoes. A very small bowl of pale fruit and another of biscuits. Also there were no spoons in the table settings and my husband got a dirty fork at his place. I expected more choice and quality based on the upscale nature of this hotel.

Such a pleasant surprise to have a wonderful hotel stay, and the staff service and attention to guests is best we've seen! We'd highly recommend staying at the Cambria Hotel Waco Univ Riverfront, and The BLVD Steakhouse should not be missed! Neal Simpson's wine selection, his team and the Executive Chef Tomas Pratt, who's culinary creations are amazing, and they make sure that you will want to come back again and again!

This is an amazing Hotel with a great pool, and is close to everything downtown; however i paid for the breakfast through Hotels.com. I never recieved hotel vouchers, so i was charged twice. I was told by two different hotel employees that they would credit my CC. This never happened. They also have limited wait staff. There were patrons walking out waiting on breakfast that needed to get to graduation ceremonies, and other appointments... so bring muffins !!!!!

This hotel was modern and very nice. It was clean and I felt safe. There was a smell that bothered us a lot. To the point when we left our room we had to hold our noses all the way to the elevator because the smell was so bad. It was only in the hallway though. Also the pool gate does not lock. Other than those few things, it was a good stay.
