The room was a pleasant surprise; updated and clean. The outside and lobby all look a bit dated and the hallways and stairwells smell very strongly of cigarettes (they have smoking stations directly beside entryways) but then you walk into a lovely room which is clean and modern and has had some recent updates. The bed was comfy enough but those sheets are very LOUD and crisp - it made so much sound when you moved around. The mattress was comfy but you really felt when the other person moved around, so between that and the sheets, neither of us slept very well. I could see it being better for solo-travelers. We did not get a chance to try the breakfast but its nice to see a cheaper option of decent breakfast for $9 and then more elaborate options at a higher cost. We also didn't get a chance to try the pool or hot tub but nice that they have later hours than most (I think until 11pm). Staff were great.

Great location and easy to access

I stayed here with family while in town for a concert. I chose it for the water slide, proximity to the arena, and cost. The waterslide was a hit. The pool is a little small leaving only a small shallow end for kids but it didnt seem to affect their enjoyment. I liked the seating around the pool and the towels. The place is a little old but still feels safe and sound. There was some squeaky fan or something somewhere that was really bad but we were too pooped every night to care too much. I would definitely stay here again.
