Great service, kind staff. Breakfast was amazing and the kids had a great time in the pool. Hot tub was just put back into service so it wasnt hot, it was warm and the jets were not working but the facilities were clean and the hotel staff were all very friendly.

The staff were all nice, approachable, and very accommodating. The rooms were acceptable but needed a little more attention when it comes to cleaning. Parking was somewhat challenging since it is shared public and hotel parking, and you really risk parking there due to the area. Just don't leave anything valuable in your car. The location is close to all amenities, which is convenient. You just need to be cautious, as there are some "homeless" people constantly hanging around. Overall, our stay was very good. We will definitely be back .

Very poor. The toilet would not flush. We called and spoke to the front desk staff on multiple occasions. Someone was sent up to my hotel room and used my empty wine bottle to attempt to fix the toilet?? It was not fixed and we were asked to wait until morning for maintenance to come and fix it. Morning came around and the toilet issue was not fixed we had to go to the lobby to use the public washrooms. The hot tub was cold on day two and we reported this as well and it was not fixed we were told maintenance does not show up until 9am and the hot tub opened at 5:30am. On top of this all, the fitted sheets did not fit the size of mattress it was almost as if they tried putting a double fitted sheet on a queen size mattress and the sheet came off as soon as you laid on the bed. On day two we came back to our room and it looked as if house keeping entered the room and made our beds with the old sheets that were already on the bed. Why even come into a room if the sheets aren’t going to be replaced? Absolutely terrible stay. The front end staff were not helpful at all. They stated they could not refund us charges due to the stay being booked on expedia. I would have expected compensation.

Our room had this smell, there was dust all over the place. The beed sheets were not clean! We called front desk and were told that hpusekeeping was done for the day. We asked for different room, not much better....the bed sheet had a brown stain on it.

The facility could use a deep cleaning. The room was in poor shape. Dirty floor had obvious water damage which was painted over. Moldy tile grout in the shower. Just needs a good maintenance manager. Light was broken. Floor felt dirty. My socks that were white instantly became brown. So I walked around with my shoes on.

This hotel is so grossly kept, it can be comparable to a motel. Some staff was friendly and inviting and breakfast is included which was the positive part of this hotel. The negative is the poor house cleaning services. The first room we were offered had a fitted sheet that didn’t fit at all (it was rolled halfway up the mattress), exposing the disgusting mattress under. The mattress was absolutely horrifying. The second room was better however still had major areas of filth. There was a tissue under the nightstand, we had to request refills of hand soap and body wash as they were empty when we arrived. The curtain (room 704), has what appears to be blood splatter (quite a lot). It was dusty, with spots on the mattress. Just truly horrible.

I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Express. It is a bit of an older hotel and could use an update but over all it was a good experience for me. They had an amazing free breakfast that left me full and ready for the day. They had a hot tub and pool with nice view of outside. They had a balcony with sliding door in the rooms which was a nice touch for me as the view was nice and I could hear the birds and have fresh air. Thank you for this stay! I look forward to staying again!:)

I was given a room that was right behind the elevators. I didn’t think it was going to be an issue if walls were sound proof. Clearly it wasn’t. Unfortunately the sound was a constant disturbance. And by the time it all happened, it was definitely too late to ask for a room swap. Staff was great. Hotel is a little dated but is clean and has all you need for a minimal stay

The hotel was conveniently located for my purposes (going to an Oilers game). It was a short walk to Rogers Place and many restaurants and bars. All staff I encountered (two at the front desk, a housekeeper, breakfast attendant) were very friendly. Housekeeping was quick to respond to the one problem I did have, which was a clogged bathtub drain. The beds were comfortable and had several pillow firmness options, the room had several useful amenities (e.g., microwave, fridge, coffee maker, safe), and the A/C worked well.

Nice location. You have to pay for parking 16$ so keep that in mind when booking. We had a guest stay on the pull out couch and it was less than ideal. The mattress was very thin, she could feel the frame below. Breakfast was very good, hot, fresh with good selection. Would stay here again.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel, and I feel compelled to share it so others can avoid the same. When I arrived for check-in, I was told my room wouldn’t be ready for another 2.5 hours. The delay was because hotel management decided to allow late check-outs for an event group that had been staying there for 3 days. That group’s convenience clearly took priority over incoming guests. Because of this mess, I ended up arriving one hour late to The Weeknd concert, which was the main reason for my trip. Other guests were forced to change clothes in the lobby washrooms, making it difficult for anyone to actually use the facilities. It was chaotic, uncomfortable, and unacceptable. To make things worse, hotel staff said they would waive the overnight parking fee to make up for the delay, but that never happened. I wasn’t informed of the charge at checkout, and only discovered it days later when I saw my credit card statement. On top of everything, there was also a toilet flood in one of the rooms that got so bad it required the fire department to respond and blocked off part of the hotel. This was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Poor communication, broken promises, and a complete lack of respect for guests’ time. I will never stay here again, and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had the best time me and my 7 year old immediately TK (the very sweetest Gentleman at Front Desk)🥰❤️👌💯👍 read the whole situation he knew what we needed before we Knew he switched rooms to accommodate our needs gave my daughter a stocking with goodys came with us up the stairs as my daughter was nervous (my daughter is having sensory difficulties) best part of the whole experience was the staff went above and beyond .. every single one everyone we dealt with was do warm and kind👌💯

They moved us to a better room after realizing the one we booked won’t be a good fit for us. That was so nice of them and me and my family appreciate it so much! The only thing though is I think they need to change the filters in their air conditioning units or something because the air it’s blowing, at times, is giving off a bad smell. Other than that our stay has been good and comfortable.

All the staff we encountered were friendly. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Walking distance to trains which was great for getting around. Parking was $20 per night extra ($14 for members) and difficult with a full sized truck. Would stay again.

We really liked how clean the hotel was including our room, hot tub & pool area as well as the breakfast area. Staff was polite and caring. We were going to Rogers Place so it is a convenient 15 minute walk. There are homeless around that made me uneasy so we made sure we walked with others present.

Staff was outstanding: able to provide guidance and assistance throughout our stay. It is unfortunate that the city, despite law enforcement efforts, is struggling with a tremendous drug problem. We could not walk more than a few feet from our hotel without encountering addicted individuals, some of whom were confrontational and violent. We understand that the city is putting a lot of effort and money to improve the area. We observed law enforcement performing what they called "security sweeps" while wearing what appeared to be bulletproof vests. The hotel is in a very convenient location to Rogers Place and the downtown core with some of the most attentive staff we have ever had. Hopefully, the area will be safer soon. Please, please be careful if you stay at ANY hotel in Edmonton..

My room was very clean, the staff were great. I forgot my phone charger and the front desk let me borrow one of theirs for the night. Breakfast was very hot and filling. They had pancakes, muffins, toast, begals, juice, coffee, tea, eggs, omelets, sausages, bacon, yorgurt. Beds were comfortable and the blankets nice and warm. The shower was just the right pressure. The room was very large. Yes your going to see houseless people around but you will in any city so that was ok. They didnt ask for anything and one gentelmen even wished me a good evening. There is a pool and hot tub but I didnt use them as I didnt have the time but they look nice Will definitely stay again

Good hotel - very helpful staff and great breakfast included with room cost - for the price point. I am vegan and had baked bean porridge toast fruit. Hotel is a bit rundown a the LEDs in the hallways and bathrooms are harsh.

The staff was excellent! Breakfast was good. Wish water and coffee were offered all day but understandably. Great location! Never waited more than a minute for an Uber and walking distance from Roger’s Place.
