Stayed here on the weekend for a concert. Only 1 working elevator. Stairs only went outside, not to each floor. Air conditioning barely worked in the room even on high. No fan in the bathroom. Won’t be back again.

I was disappointed to learn that the restaurant was closed when I checked in - did not see any previous messaging about this. Also, the equipment in the gym is in poor condition. Some of the exercise machines are not at all functional. Other than that the hotel was nice and the staff were great.

You get what you pay for, its fine. The water is hot, the sheets are clean, the AC is cold. Its an upscale budget hotel and thats fine. I will say though the gym and all its equiptment its truthfuly terrible and dangerous. From a liability standpoint I think this needs to be addressed. I suggest any staff member, or owner for that matter try out the treadmill... how anything in this gym has not been addressed, in what appears to be the life time of the building, is impressive.

The hotel was super busy. The guy at the desk said as little as possible. One elevator was broken. My ten year old took the stairs and was locked in the corridor, the front desk person was walking through with someone else at that time and met her on the floor. Would have been nice to know, you can’t use the stairs either.

It's a basic there stars hotel and it shows. The room is spacious and clean and that's about it The wifi never works. Which is terrible for business travelers The fitness center has 3 of the 5 equipment out of order. One of them is unsafe to use. Please don't advertise an amenity someone can't use. I asked for help from the front desk to get a spoon or folk and he said we don't do that, even when the hotel restaurant is literally right there

This hotel is gross Room was not clean - hadn’t been vacuumed or dusted, blood on the sheets, hole in bathroom wall. Hallways not clean, bags of trash sitting in hallway for DAYS. They did not provide an upgrade or any discounts for the inconvenience and disgust we felt. Our room was also concaving as it’s an older property and it’s all on a slant. It just was not good.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE- DO NOT STAY HERE OR BOOK WITH EXPEDIA EVER AGAIN! Room was covered in bodily fluids dried up on night stand , desk , desk chair and couch - elevator and hallways filthy , emergency exit stairs reak of urine and feces ( under housed obviously sleeping in stairwells at some point- didn’t get house keeping 2 days in a row - manager wouldn’t speak to me - Expedia communications blocked my ability to have a conversation- total dissatisfaction-

Property is very dirty. And Needs maintenance. Rooms were very smelly and dirty. Carpet stinks and had big dirt. On entering rooms smell like moisture in side. Windows were never cleaned and Balconies were dirty.

The room was dirty and there was urine on the seat and bowl when i entered the room. There was an accident and two dead bodies were there when i arrives. There was a couple and 4 children fighting in the lobby. There is no restaurant or bar at this location and there is a lot of homeless and drug addicts that hang around this location.

Rooms were supposed to be non smoking, but reeked of smoke. Carpets filthy. People hanging around the property were intimidating. Front desk staff accommodating, housekeeping staff only came to tidy room and leave clean towels when asked.

Our room was very dirty and smelled like stale cigarette smoke - all of our clothes went right into the washer when we got home. The smoke alarm was broken (though someone did come fix it eventually), and there was what looked to be blood on the carpet between the beds. We were woken up to a domestic dispute at 5am in a room down the hall.

For a Ramada and by Wyndam.... this place needs an overhaul and updating. No A/C in main hotel areas. Smells dingy and musty in hallways and main lobby area. Rooms old and need to be renovated. some burns on wall in the bathroom. bed was comfortable and TV selections ok - only thing good about it. one Elevator was not working.

Room dingy room..BUT worst of all internet was so slow could barely check email. When I informed the the front desk I was told that too many people in the hotel were using it! Like that's supposed to be an acceptable reason??? AVOID this place. The attached restaurant was also very poor quality of food.

This property has very poor internet service The internet is almost not usable by guests. It did not happene to me only, it also happened to other guests while I checked their internet quality. This issue actually existed when. I stayed there a year ago. When I asked the front desk a year ago, they told me they were fixing that. But the truth is after a year, nothing improved.

The bed was comfortable , the desk chair not so much. The first night the Wifi signal was tolerable but the second night it was unusable. I ran multiple speed test using 2 different devices and got a average of a whopping 5 Mbps making video watching impossible even at 480p.

Everything was OK, except the Wi-Fi. It is very slow and when the hotel is full, you cannot connect to Wi-Fi because no IP is available. So come with a data plan until the hotel will upgrade the Internet and Wi-Fi access.

Check in was painful, front desk clerk was slow and then shoved the check in paper to be filled out and signed and 30 seconds later was tapping the interac machine telling me to do that too. Lobby was clean, elevator was disgusting and it was not a recent mess. The surfaces in my room felt greasy and there was toothpaste, etc on the walls in the bathroom. Over two nights i never managed to connect the internet for more than 5 minutes at a time, making it impossible to work or do anything.

Staff did not properly set up room key card. With only 1 elevator working had to lug luggage back downstairs to get it set up. Another guest I met in the elevator had the same issue. Poor service. Mediocre room. Would not recommend this hotel.

Night and evening staff were very difficult to deal with, kept asking for towels and they kept making excuses saying some will be brought up. None were never brought to our room till we finally asked the ladies in the morning shift the brought our towels up and made sure everything was clean and stocked up. Thank you to those ladies.

This is a fantastic hotel especially for the reasonable price! Would definitely stay there again. The staff are outstanding right from the front desk to the housekeeping services. Convenient location, super clean, felt very safe. Even the parking area the front desk have big windows and they can basically see most of the parking area. Loved it.

We didn’t stay here. We arrived at 9:30pm for our reservation, we were told we didn’t have a reservation even though we showed the front desk our confirmation. They said there was no room for us even though we booked the room in February for the September concert. They told us to call Expedia, Expedia said yes we were confirmed but the hotel said no rooms available in Edmonton. Expedia was able to confirm us a room at the Holiday Inn, Expedia and Holiday Inn were amazing during a stressful few hours. I will never recommend the Ramada by Wyndham Edmonton South. The front desk didn’t even pretend to care about the inconvenience they caused us.

Very sketchy/seedy outside the hotel. Lots of homeless people approaching us for money and got aggressive when we said we had no cash. Wont stay in this area again.

We stay here a couple times a year whenever we attend a concert at Midway Music Hall, as we love that it's within walking distance. That is definitely the number one draw for us! We have no complaints... everything is kind of average as far as hotels go. We typically don't choose this hotel when we come to the city for other reasons, but you can't beat the proximity to Midway.

This hotel is in a great location for access to Edmonton's South side. It's only a few minutes from the very vibrant Whyte Avenue for shopping, restaurants, and nightlife.

Not very happy with this hotel. Hotel was listed as breakfast available, however they have changed things and there is no breakfast at all. The paint is bubbled on the walls, electrical sockets missing covers and black soot around edges, locking mechanism to balcony door extremely loose….and the list goes on. There certainly needs to be some renovations done.

We used the restaurant that was available. Prices were reasonable,and we enjoyed the food we had. Room was large, clean and comfortable. The fitness center and laundry were available, but didn’t need to use them, but someone else was using the fitness center. We would stay again

The restaurant and lounge were both closed for renovations. They didn’t not tell us that when checking in 😡. The shower curtain rod was loose and ready to fall off! The bathroom fan was not working! Never staying there again…. Also there a party in one of the rooms; woke us up at 4:00 am ! 😡

The staff was very friendly and efficient. Restaurant food was decent, reasonably priced, lots of options. The beds were comfy enough, but not great - you can tell they’re old. The wallpaper was starting to fall off the ducting just at the seams. Could use a refresh throughout the building. And the fitness centre has three cardio machines and a bowflex type of machine - zero free weights. Disappointing. Overall the cost matches the value.
