This place is just absolutely beautiful -don't be fooled by the budget prices - they're undervaluing themselves. If you're travelling with pets, then this is the place for you it's large property with self contained cabins. They are set up for privacy This is authentic Tasmania - not cbd Hobart. It fees like you're in the middle of nature but you can drive 15mins- for access to all cbd Hobart stuff - everything is close by. I've been painting under a gun tree in absolute blissful solitude There's a large fully enclosed paddock, that you can let your dog have a good run in - this place is worth it - just for having somewhere for my dog to run the cabins are spacious, neat &tidy the owners are beautiful people - warm & welcoming this place has managed to counteract all the stress & worry of past few months - just with its tranquillity & lovely people

The heating for the property was problematic. I turned the heater on at 2am as it was cold. The heating unit was quite old and made loud rattling and banging noises keeping me awake for the remainder of the night. I ended up showering and leaving the property just after 4am as I either stayed cold or had to listen to the heating. When leaving, the light was poor on the drive and I tripped once on the cobbled driveway getting to my car.

A brilliant find! Such a beautiful estate, a working farm with its manor house as the centrepiece and other substantial buildings nearby, one of which contained the licensed dining room where i had a superb evening meal and a delicious breakfast. I slept in a wonderful, huge bedroom, complete with canopied doublebed, separate daybed, table and chairs, TV, well equipped kitchenette and bathroom, and a fabulously hand painted ceiling in the High Victorian style. The owner-operators could not have been more welcoming nor more happy to chat. I loved my brief stay, wished I had booked for more than one night, and have raved about the place since i returned home. I hope the Manor thrives and thrives! It's fabulous. It's not in the centre of Richmond however so, unless you like a walk of maybe 1.5 or 2 kms, you do need a car.

Pack your sense of humour, don't eat in the restaurant- our meals were tasteless and very overpriced, the gorgeous little dogs very cute but shouldn't be allowed in restaurant and kitchen. Bed was comfortable

Farm type stay run by very pleasant couple. They were able to upgrade us to a separate self-contained cottage. Very close to charming Richmond and was easy to get into Hobart for Salamanca market. Great value

Quirky, friendly historical venue. Everything worked well and although the building is tired, the owners and surroundings made up for it. We booked in for dinner and were provided with a warming, substantial home cooked meal and a Charming hostess. Good selection of wines. Lots of accommodation types available. Close to Richmond (walk or drive) and easy access to other areas. Beautiful scenery and lots of animals that any children would love.

A unique place to stay! Friendly staff, friendly animals, beautiful scenery, a lovely breakfast! Heater was on when we arrived which was thoughtful as we arrived later in the evening. Make sure you pat the friendly horses. Loved having a chat with the hosts. Definitely worth staying in this fascinating manor.

Can walk down to the river on the property, & see the river creatures, coming out @ sunset to forage around looking 👀 for food to eat, It isn't suitable if you have limited mobility, as it's descend down the dirt trail to the riverbanks, include with the accommodation fees

Hi needed to pay at property, paid them found I was overcharge by $80, reception offer to refund The face washer was white but was yellow with stains, the surface of kitchen area had died food, there was no soap supplied on main bath room also the spa bath did not work In morring used the supplies hair dryer on wall but sparked can out drop then blew power points Property one all was not clean

Property is extremely run down no sound deadening between upper and lower floors. Bed linen stained and dirty. Kitchen was open to the outside with no fly wire door and one staff member laying on the floor playing with a dog. Flys and spiders around all windows Even the garden was unruly and messy with rubbish laying around. Maybe covid has had an effect on the buildings but not the lack of maintenance

We stayed in the gypsy van, the sheets on the bed were filthy, curtains ripped, old chairs were to filthy to even sit on, it might be budget accommodation but no need for everything to be so dirty and discusting, would not advise anyone to staying in there, best thing about staying there was leaving the next morning

Space was not very clean (Room or restaurant). Restaurant food was fine but expensive for the quality. Beds are very old so not super comfortable. Staff were very friendly and the area beautiful.

Stayed in the Gypsies Cabin, was small with bed against the wall, every time we open the door we had insects inside, the shower is very small and was jargon to control. The breakfast was wonderful and very tasty and very well priced. The hosts are very very friendly and could not have asked for better. I would definitely recommend this property, but I don’t think I would take the Gypsie cabin again.

Room was not great - was old and in need of repairs and updating. In the room (The attic) the bathroom floor tiles were no longer waterproof. They held the water and it felt like you were standing in a sponge. The town of Richmond was lovely.

This is a very quirky place. We stayed in the turret, was spacious and king size bed, bathroom down the stairs but very good shower. Fridge and tv worked no problems but the night lights clicked on at regular random times, a little bit odd but we just took the bulbs out. The place is very old and quite rundown but the owners obviously take great pride in the Manor. Our room was remade for us and cleaned. We didn't eat in the restaurant as too busy out wine tasting. Richmond is a great little wine town and we would book again at the Manor.

Toilet needs updating, we had 4 adults had to wait 20-30 minutes inbetween flushing. We stayed in the cottage not the manor and it was a very cold night and the heating stayed on all night but we still felt the cold. Very pretty property and surroundings just the facilities need a bit of updating.

Room dirty, towels threadbare, smelled of mould , didn't get serviced, room not sound proofed as described, neighbours noisy early in the morning, bed uncomfortable, kitchenware (plates and cutlery) dirty. Hi needed to pay at property, paid them found I was overcharge by $80, reception offer to refund The face washer was white but was yellow with stains, the surface of kitchen area had died food, there was no soap supplied on main bath room also the spa bath did not work In morring used the supplies hair dryer on wall but sparked can out drop then blew power points Property one all was not clean

Hatcher's Manor was a wonderful place to stay. The cottage was warm and included all the amenities we needed. It was lovely surprise to have the cottage serviced each day.

This was a nice place with friendly animals in paddock in front of units. We did have a problem with intermittent noise outside in the roof which we think required maintenance as it sounded as though they was something loose rattling.It was quite loud but luckily we were tired enough to sleep thru it. We did send a message to the host but had no reply. Large comfortable rooms with lovely decor. Loved the 4 poster bed.

This place is just absolutely beautiful -don't be fooled by the budget prices - they're undervaluing themselves. If you're travelling with pets, then this is the place for you it's large property with self contained cabins. They are set up for privacy This is authentic Tasmania - not cbd Hobart. It fees like you're in the middle of nature but you can drive 15mins- for access to all cbd Hobart stuff - everything is close by. I've been painting under a gun tree in absolute blissful solitude There's a large fully enclosed paddock, that you can let your dog have a good run in - this place is worth it - just for having somewhere for my dog to run the cabins are spacious, neat &tidy the owners are beautiful people - warm & welcoming this place has managed to counteract all the stress & worry of past few months - just with its tranquillity & lovely people

A brilliant find! Such a beautiful estate, a working farm with its manor house as the centrepiece and other substantial buildings nearby, one of which contained the licensed dining room where i had a superb evening meal and a delicious breakfast. I slept in a wonderful, huge bedroom, complete with canopied doublebed, separate daybed, table and chairs, TV, well equipped kitchenette and bathroom, and a fabulously hand painted ceiling in the High Victorian style. The owner-operators could not have been more welcoming nor more happy to chat. I loved my brief stay, wished I had booked for more than one night, and have raved about the place since i returned home. I hope the Manor thrives and thrives! It's fabulous. It's not in the centre of Richmond however so, unless you like a walk of maybe 1.5 or 2 kms, you do need a car.

We had a very comfortable stay, very close to Richmond. Things seemed a bit dated, but nevertheless the staff and the hospitality was very good. May stay there again. Parking was plentiful and the mattress on the 4-poster bed was very comfortable. Room was huge.

Stayed in the Gypsies Cabin, was small with bed against the wall, every time we open the door we had insects inside, the shower is very small and was jargon to control. The breakfast was wonderful and very tasty and very well priced. The hosts are very very friendly and could not have asked for better. I would definitely recommend this property, but I don’t think I would take the Gypsie cabin again.

A unique place to stay! Friendly staff, friendly animals, beautiful scenery, a lovely breakfast! Heater was on when we arrived which was thoughtful as we arrived later in the evening. Make sure you pat the friendly horses. Loved having a chat with the hosts. Definitely worth staying in this fascinating manor.

Beautiful property. Owners are the most friendliest people you will ever meet. The kids loved the freedom on the property and we took comfort in knowing they were safe while having fun. Would and will certainly be staying again.
