Felix River Kwai Resort - SHA Plus,Certified

Gedurende laagseizoen zijn diverse faciliteiten op het resort gesloten. Ook geen bar waar je in de avond lekker kan zitten. Zicht op de brug is alleen in een uithoek van het resort.

Lovely hotel but just a little tired, went there for the location however the river bar was closed which was one of the main reasons we went to the hotel,

Riesiges Zimmer, grosser Balkon. Gutes Bett, sauber. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, mindestens das Bad bräuchte ein Update. Sensationeller Pool, gutes Restaurant. Leider etwas weit von der Stadt entfernt.

Very friendly staff, VERY beautiful gardens and a big beautiful clean pool.Gym is a disaster with broken rusty old equipment no towels and totally dirty old carpet. looks as if nobody ever uses it.

Very frendly helpful service on check in. The rooms are large and spacious but only 2 coat hangers in the wardrobe is not good. The grounds around the hotel are most impressive and well maintained. Access to the swimming pool for people with any slight disability is an impossibility as there are no steps for children or the elderly. Its the same inside the hotel with no lifts or elevator to safely access the upper and lower floors. The Breakfast provided is good and provides a good start to the day but why do you place the cutlery in single use plastic bags? This is 2025, please stop this practice of single use plastics. Overall the hotel is in a great location but has seen better days and is in need of a little TLC

Stunning estate of spacious buildings with huge rooms, grand balconies, excellent air-con, ample hot water and all amenities. Two pools, verdant grounds. Not impressed with wifi or internal lagoon, but the lillypads were great.

Au niveau des points positifs: - le service est très bon et les employés sont tous souriants, polis et serviables - l’hôtel est entouré de nature, au bord de la rivière: si vous aimez être tranquille au milieu des arbres et des oiseaux, c’est parfait! Mais malheureusement, le reste laisse à désirer et nous a laissé un goût amer. Nous avons même réduit notre séjour et sommes partis un jour plus tôt que prévu (même si nous savions qu’il était impossible de se faire rembourser la dernière nuit déjà payée): - un seul restaurant était ouvert, parce qui manquait certainement de clients à l’hôtel, mais ca reste que l’hôtel “vend” le fait qu’il y a un restaurant principal, un restaurant chinois, un lounge, un café sur la rivière, un endroit où on peut prendre un verre et jouer au billard… Seul le restaurant principal était ouvert. Tout le reste semblait ne pas avoir été ouvert depuis très longtemps. - les piscines sont agréables mais les alentours de la piscine manquent d’entretien (chaises, bars, etc…) - la salle de gym est une relique des années 90, tellement qu’on dirait une reconstitution pour un film. C’était poussiéreux, des machines ne fonctionnent pas… Autant le fermer et dire qu’il n’y a pas de gym. - l’hôtel dit qu’il y a un sauna: aucun sauna à l’horizon. Une grande partie de l’hôtel semble abandonnée. Le manque de lumière donnait un côté lugubre et malaisant. Nous comprenons qu’il y ait un manque de clients, mais c’est presque de la fausse publicité…

I booked here because the pictures show the bamboo restaurant on the river with perfect view of the bridge.. the restaurant has been closed since Covid I am now told.. About a 2km walk from reception to the bridge - this has to be done in daylight. The start of the bridge only has narrow plate to talk and no lights, a long way to fall. Which also means you need to get a taxi back from town which is easier said than done. Because your on the other side of the bridge about 15 min by road no one wanted to know, easier money to be made from the bars pickups. Room was really nice, 3rd floor stairs were a little tedious once you were in and out a few times, but the service was spot on with the kart to pick you up and service for your luggage so getting around the resort was easy. I would stay here again, IF I had a car or bike Breakfast was great, will even do demonstrations for eggs or Thai coffee making.

Verry quiet. 2 gorgeous swimming pools. Bedroom was big. Best shower I've had in Thailand in 6 weeks of traveling. Hot, powerful, endless HOT water. Room was very clean. Choose a river view room; this is a 2 minute walk from the jetty with amazing views of the famous bridge. Very happy with our choice. We will be returning soon. Shame we were only here for 2 days.

Goof location next to the river kwai. Well kept property with clean rooms. No elevator to the upper (third) floors. Hot water is only luke warm. Definitely not warm enough for using the bath tub as some other reviewers also noted. Breakfast is ok with many varieties but food was not kept warm. Restaurant staff showed limited interest in serving customers even when there were fewer than 10 people during breakfast time.

All of the interior spaces, including my room, are/were immaculate, exactly what you should expect from an establishment calling itself a ‘Resort’. The exterior is showing a little age/wear from the brutal Thai weather. I didn’t eat at the resort so I can not comment on the food or food service. It’s a beautiful location on a bend in the river just across the historically famous River Kwai bridge. The bridge is approximately a 10 minute walk.

Der Empfang durch das Personal war sehr freundlich.Die Zimmer und das Hotel sind in einem schlechten Zustand. Das Wasser im Bad war sehr schmutzig (schwarz) und das Personal sagte uns dass man zurzeit Probleme hat. Das Frühstück sowie der Kaffee könnten besser sein. Ich verstehe nicht warum dieses Hotel so gute Bewertungen hat. Ich werde es nicht mehr buchen.

Die Lage und die Umgebung sind wunderschön. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind sauber und im guten Zustand.

Well equipped spacious room, very comfortable, nice breakfast, it’s a big site, well located to visit the area

Great stay in this wonderful resort:nice gardens, giving the customer peace and tranquillity, 2 swimming pools and walk way beside the river. The breakfast is great, especially Thai food, and staf very friendly. The rooms have had better times, power plugs are outdated,and no USB sockets (for the high tech freaks) some issues with Wi-Fi, especially in the weekend when a lot of Thai groups pass by. Without car the hotel might be difficult to access, you can walk to the city over the historical bridge, but not after dark. After all, this hotel stays our favorite in Kanchanaburi, the gardens bring rest and peace, no hustle like in daily life, We come back every year to visit our family, and Felix is our number one hotel

Wir bekamen ein DZ mit Durchgangstüre, in der zweiten Nacht war an Schlaf bis 1 Uhr nicht zu denken. Wir wurden vor 6 wieder durch die Nachbarn geweckt. Bei meiner Reklamation wurde mir vom Hotelmanager als Antwort gegeben, dass sie ausgebucht wären. Tatsächlich war das Hotel höchstens ein Drittel belegt. Absolute Unverschämtheit heit und zeigt die Wertschätzung des Gastes. Was man sich als Gast alles gefallen lassen muss. Absolut miserabel

Clean room with all amenities, jet tub, AC beautiful view of river and sunsets, short walk accessible to the Kwai bridge and restaurants

Lovely hotel and the room overlooking the river was beautiful. The pool area was also nice and you can ring and order drinks and they bring them to you. The only downfall is it’s about 20 minutes away from the city however we stopped here as it was a 10 minute walk to the bridge over the river Kwai. Staff were pleasant overall a nice stay!

Hotel na pięknym terenie, z zadbanym ogrodem, nad samą rzeką Kwai, bardzo blisko mostu. Ogromny basen. Niestety hotel jest nieco stary, pokoje nie miały większego remontu od ok 25 lat. Było czysto i komfortowo, ale było czuć zużycie. Niemniej polecam.

Had a lovely few days here, the staff were wonderful. There were very few guests while I was there, and for me that was heavenly. The actual bridge over the river Kwai is directly accessible from the hotel, a short walk from the security hut. Really unique ! There's also a 7 eleven just outside the facility, so that's very good too.

This is a really nice property and lovely swimming pool options. Always seemed like a lack of staff particularly around breakfast time. The grounds are nice and great frontage to the river. An easy 10 mins walk to Kwai bridge makes this ideal for getting to that area. the staff weren't that friendly2, polite yes so would say hello but rarely servcie with a smile

Absolutely stunning river side view around the property. Very quiet. The staff is amazing.

Chambre impeccable avec vue sur la riviere, la piscine est magnifique Le defaut est le petit dejeuner avec un cafe insipide et le personnel peu aimable. Les nappes ne sont meme pas secouees entre 2 clients.

Room was spotless with a lot of space. Staff was wonderful and the resort was beautiful.

We love this hotel, it has a lovely relaxing atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

We have been coming to this hotel since 2015 and it’s still one of our favourites. In truth it is now in need of a little attention. The bathrooms desperately need updating preferably with walk in showers. My only real gripe is the lack of coat hangers. When on a 3 week holiday I require more than 2 coat hangers per person. That said, we still love this hotel, its location and its staff. They truly cannot do enough for you and the food is excellent. We’ll be back x

Good for the price and quiet location - easy walk to bridge. Property is looking tired but clean and pool area is lovely. Very poor service in restaurant first night - waited over an hour for ANY service - not even a drink. Seem to have plenty of staff everywhere but the restaurant.

Great location. Property on older side and probably due for a Reno to take it to the next level but I stayed for ease of location - close to the action but away from the hustle and bustle. Pleasant staff. Will happily choose here for my next visit.

Very beautiful property and gorgeous river view room! Be prepared for lots of mosquitoes, spiders, and wall geckos in your room! The whole place was beautiful, lots of things to do:) We seemed to be the only people there, it gave a little bit of “White Lotus” vibes. There is a direct path to the Bridge over the River Kwai though! Although, you cannot use the path at night

Nice Big Hotel with no Guests. Feels like in the movie "The Shining" Big bathroom, but no seperate shower. You still have to shower in the bathtub. Only the empty hotel, nothing to see around in the area, you need a transport.

What fantastic hotel resort right on the river side and close to the famous rail bridge, lovely and peaceful and with a view of the river (10 metres away).

Good room nice view on the river, breakfast overcrowded with bus people, evening diner let I say don’t order because it’s not eatable I did have T bone, now my shoe sole is more tender than this thing, in one word un eatable!

Var här för att utforska staden. Hotellet ligger på gångavstånd till bron över floden Kwai. Fint område, hade lätt kunnat vara bara på hotellet i några nätter. Bra pooler, massagen var fantastisk- otroligt kompetent personal, drinkarna var ok. Skulle inte rekommendera maten - åk in till stan istället. Kostar bara 200 baht eller en promenad. (Det är mycket närmare än vad man tror). Vi fick ett rum med balkong mot floden. Oj, vad fint! Solnedgången kommer vi minnas länge. Rekommenderar även en tur till vattenfallen - hotellets taxichaufför var över förväntan.
