Overall great value and a comfortable stay. Building itself is heritage and requires an interior freshen up overall. My Double room had a brand new bathroom which was great. Room had everything I needed, bed was clean and comfortable. Aircon filter was caked in dust so didn't use it but fortunately I didn't have to so never mentioned it to staff but I'm sure they would have addressed it. Gym was great, equipment was new and clean. Chris and other staff at the front desk were very hospitable and nothing was too much trouble for them. Overall a very comfortable stay.

Best priced place I could find in the city for this overnight stop. Central location but parking is a bit painful as none on site Get there before 4 so you can park to check in.

Excellent location but our room didn't have a clear window and teeny tiny. No room to open a suitcase so had to use the bed. Need a ramp to access reception as getting cases up the stairs was difficult. Certainly does not cater to elderly clients.

The hotel was conveniently located near Marvel Stadium where I was attending an event and was an easy walk to it. The room was small but clean and good for a night’s stay. There were plenty of pubs and bars in walking distance too. The parking company they were affiliated with was pretty far from the hotel and I wouldn’t want to carry heavy luggage that far especially if it’s raining, which it was the night I was there. Overall it was clean, quiet and comfortable

No ramp up to the front desk so pack light and no microwaves in the room. There was a bucket and wet carpet in my corridor for dripping. Other then that the rooms were comfortable and felt right at home. Staff were friendly and paitent. I'd def use them again when back in Melbourne

Good location, decent sized single room and bathroom. Clean, quiet (room was facing the back which helped). The building and room is a bit old but they did well to keep things up to date and clean. Does have a laundry (coin operated) and a small gym which is nice. Lots of transport links and places to eat nearby and minutes walk from Southern Cross station and the river.

I had low expectations of this hotel but everything else was booked out during the Australian Open - and I was pleasantly surprised. The place is spotlessly clean and while the room was relatively small, the bathroom and all facilities were modern and clean. The location close to Southern Cross station was also good. I would come back here.

Bed Sheets were still dirty or not washed properly. Bedside tables had sticky residue on them, obviously tables not wiped over. Remote for tv had same sticky residue. Windows inside absolutely filthy. Dusting not done in room obviously. Never stay here again. Only positive, front staff were nice and friendly. I guess you get what you pay for.

The room stunk and had not been cleaned well at all. I took photos of the mould in the bathroom growing and the condition of the carpet because it was that bad. The fridge wasn’t working and made a horrible noise so we had to turn it off We got one day where our towels were changed and room wasn’t even cleaned out of the five days we were there. Really not happy.

The hotel has a terrible swampy smell all through the corridors. The room had a slight smell and the sheets had a coffee cup stain on them. The glasses were also questionable in regards to cleanliness. The staff were lovely and they let me utilize the guest lounge/bathroom to get ready as my room wasn't available for early check in.

I would not stay here. The place stunk of mould and other things from the minute I stepped foot inside. The room I stayed in on level 5 had mould covering the entire bathroom shower. The bed did not even have a bottom sheet or a doona cover on it. I could hear people in the corridors and in the neighbouring rooms. Waste of money! Never stay here.

The staff are amazing, very accommodating. I am sure the foyer will look great once renovations are complete. The room was excellent, the hotel is very convenient to the trams and trains. I had low expectations of this hotel but everything else was booked out during the Australian Open - and I was pleasantly surprised. The Hotel was convenient to major Train Station and SkyBus stop from the Airport. It was walking distance to a tram stop (convenient for free tram area in the city), several restaurants, fast food outlets, and an IGA supermarket. The room was clean and comfortable. Front desk was manned 24/7. All in all a great place to stay in Melbourne CBD for a reasonable price.

Room was clean and spacious and well serviced. Location was excellent re transport. Literally 5 minutes walk from Southern Cross Station where the 'Sky Train ' bus drops you from the airport and between the two is the tram system which within the city centre is free to use

Room was fine for the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was facing the street, could be noisy, and I was wakened up during the night when a truck passed by. Also be mindful that the breakfast in the original room fare does not buy you a full meal - I learned on the morning of stay, that they serve only basic bread, jam and cereal, without any protein. I needed to pay extra for some eggs, bacon and tomato. Later I asked to remove the breakfast from my room fare, but it was not refundable. You could have a better breakfast at nearby cafes for a lower cost.

We arrived early from the airport and thankfully we were able to access our room early. Travelling with a child, I was so grateful to find my room had two beds which was not expected. The continental breakfast in the restaurant was lovely and fresh, with lots of choices. The hotel is within walking distance of Spencer Street station, and the hotel was able to store my luggage after checkout until my ride arrived.
