Laimer Hof am Schloss Nymphenburg

I booked this hotel specifically because on Hotels.com it stated that it had parking. Well, they have 4 spots and they were all taken the whole time we were there. We had to park a distance away on the streets. At least there was no charge for street parking. Also, be aware there is no elevator. So be ready for stairs. The breakfast was lovely and all else was very nice.

The fans during the hot days were REALLY appreciated

This was a comfortable stay at a place with plenty of character and located in a residential neighborhood. At this family run hotel the staff was hospitable and provided a delicious breakfast for a reasonable price. It was in reasonable walking distance to the tram or to the train. Also had good restaurants and cafes within walking distance. It is just good to be aware that the front desk is not staffed late at night or in the early morning hours.

The complimentary water bottles were already opened and used which was rather gross. We had to open the windows to get some fresh air and the pedestrian noise after midnight was pretty loud and you could smell people smoking cigarettes outside too. I booked this place specifically for the reviews and free parking, but they only have a handful of parking spots that are long taken before we arrived. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Expedia listed this as a VIP booking but I don't know why. There was nothing VIP about this room or experience.

Appena si arriva, si può avere l’impressione di essere molto fuori, Non è in zona centrale ma poco distante dall’albergo ci sono 2 linee di tram 16 e 17 che portano direttamente in centro. La nostra camera era molto spaziosa, un po’ datata come arredamento e senza aria condizionata e con una doccia molto molto piccola. In camera ci hanno messo a disposizione due ventilatori che non sono serviti. La camera è fornita anche di frigobar ed è molto molto pulita. Per quanto riguarda la colazione è di qualità e abbastanza varia soprattutto per chi ama la colazione salata, meno varia la colazione dolce. Tutto il personale è molto gentile e disponibile. Non forniscono le ciabatte da camera. Poco distante dall’albergo c’è un castello molto famoso raggiungibile a piedi. Nei dintorni ci sono molti ristoranti validi. Ci torneremmo volentieri e lo consigliamo.

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel war rundum angenehm. Hatte ein Zimmer im 1.OG und musste deshalb nur eine Treppe zu nehmen. Toll, dass einen der vier kostenlosen Parkplätze erhalten habe. Es ist eine angenehme und ruhige Umgebung.

Some narrow streets make parking the car difficult, however found one of their free guest spots, great. Room somewhat tiny bit overall ok. Breakfast and service where pretty good.

The hotel is located in a lovely area for nice long walks. Breakfast is great and staff are helpful. Great restaurants nearby. This is an old hotel building but renovated but with no elevator. The room we had was too small for a double for two adults, with little space for luggage. The bathroom was also quite tight for toilet and shower space. No in room coffee.

It was a short drive into the city. Public transportation is available, but we didn't have Euros and it seemed easier to drive. Breakfast was a buffet of meats, cheeses, breads, and fruits. You could also have items made to order. The room and bathroom were quite small. There are no lifts in this hotel. Overall, we enjoyed this hotel because it was quaint and the staff was very friendly.

At first was put off by how small the room was. There were little things like a small cabinet in the bathroom that really helped. The room was very clean and the nice staff brought coffee to our room when we asked. Quiet pretty location and could walk to the train. Loved the windows that opened different ways to let fresh air in. Except room size very nice.

Second time staying here and it was just a good as the first time. Love this place and will continue to book a room anytime I’m in Munich. It’s very cozy and clean. The staff are so nice.

Sehr alt und dreckig! Wir hatten sogar noch vom Vormieter einen vollen Mülleimer und Essen (Fisch) im Kühlschrank.

Dirty fridge. Otherwise, property was OK. 3.5 rating does not reflect the codition of the property. It looks more like a "pansion" than a hotel

Good place to stay ,confortable and staff very friendly. Breakfast is super and very clean.

The room was so tiny that we could barely even move around. I guess the convenience is being downtown Munich, but for the price I would rather choose a larger hotel chain.

The beds in our two rooms were not very comfortable. My son's room was quite small and the TV was just a small monitor. I have stayed at the Laimer Hof 5 times now, and this was our worst experience.

Tiny room. We were supposed to have a desk in the room to work from. Ended up having to sit on the bed and put the laptop on the window ledge to set it up as a mock table. Yes, the bed and window were that close together Even though we were received notification before we arrived that our room had been upgraded, there is no way this was an upgrade. We stayed here because it was close to family and friends. We won't be back and we won't recommend

Sehr hellhörig, man kann nur mit Lärmschutz für die Ohren schlafen. Bewegungen und Geräusche von nebenan stören zu sehr. Die Matratzen sind ziemlich durchgelegen und das Bett knarzt gewaltig. Eigentlich sind das ja die wichtigsten Merkmale eines Hotels. Schade für über 120,00 EUR die Nacht. Das Frühsück war auch was für Gesundheitsbewusste, also in Ordnung

Rooms are teeny tiny. They look nothing like the pictures. Can’t even open your suitcase (only on the bed) tiny tiny bathroom. No tub.

Los cuartos muy pequeños y muy viejo todo

Vue les avis + sur les sites, proche avec Nymphenburg/parc, vieux Munich accessible en train ou tramways, le charme de ce bâtiment et des chambres présentées en photo, j'ai préféré choisir cet hôtel. Mais, jai été vraiment déçue par la chambre, sobre mais surtout sombre( blanc, sale et marron par les vieux meubles typiques). J'adore les vieux meubles en bois typique mais contrairement au photo du site, aucun arrangement égaillant la chambre sous une charpente pentue d'un côté ( faut pas etre grand). D'ailleurs cette chambre n'est pas en photo sur aucun site ! Je voyageais seule, mais avait choisi une chambre double pour plus de place et donc pour un prix plus élevé. Donc normalement pour 2 personnes voir 3 d'après le site. (pas de 2ème lit ). Mais pas besoin vu que solo! Autre désagrément, un petit frigo sur lequel repose une petite tv, donc du lit difficilement regardable De plus, aucun prix concernant les boisons ou divers snacks, pas de bouteille d'eau accessible gratuitement alors quil faisait tres chaud. Aure déception, en prenant une douche en arrivant, plus de produit douche disponible. Il etait vide. Un stock etant present, j'ai dû moi même changer le dispositif et m'apercu combien il etait sâle. La chambre, en moquette, était que partiellement faite chaque jour ( couette pas aspirateur) Par contre super petit dej avec produits locaux et plats préparés sur demande. Etant Gold javais le droit à une bouteille de vin et surclassement mais RIEN, hotel affichait Frei!

My wife and I stayed here during the great December blizzard of 2023. The staff could not have been more helpful. (a special shout-out to Tobias). While the hotel is not within walking distance of the historic city center, during non-blizzard times there is easy access by train and subway. And during the blizzard, we walked to the Nymphenburg Palace and some cute local cafés, which are all within a few blocks. Two thumbs up.

This hotel is at a perfect location. We walked to the palace grounds several times because it was so beautiful and accessible. The street was very quiet and the breakfast was delicious. Staff warm and helpful.

Staff was excellent. My arrival was delayed and staff went out of their way to ensure I was able to enter after hours conveniently. Breakfast was a huge hit, as well. Very quaint and comfortable place.

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood with free parking BUT, the room was dark, dank and not clean. There were bugs on the walls, dirty glasses in the bathroom, and a broken window and shower door, and a very uncomfortable bed! Expedia VIP status was not recognized and when we asked about a different room we were told by the desk attendant that we should stay elsewhere next time. Well that’s my recommendation for future guests also!

Schön und ruhig nahe Schloss Nymphenburg gelegen. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Small, quaint. Good for a one night before our early flight. Would be a bit cramped for multi day or a a home base to explore the city. Bit far from the old town but easliy walkable to cool sight seeing. Guy at check in recommended a GREAT bier haus about a 10 min walk away

This place is awesome. Quick train ride from city center. Near palace. Walkable and delightfully quiet.

This is a lovely hotel in a quiet and nice neighborhood. We walked to s bahn station and it’s only a few stops to downtown without changing trains. The young lady who helped us at check in was especially friendly and helpful. Recommend

Not sure about the other reviews but I stayed here for about 2 nights. Honestly, its good. The bed, bathroom was good. The fridge inside was good so you can put your medicine or w/e to chill. I did not get the breakfast but you don’t need as Aldi Süd/Edeka Express is near Laim S-Bahn station (12 min walk straight). This hotel is close to Schloss Nymphenburg if you intend on visiting (10 min walk). Otherwise good stay, just know that in Germany, no A/C machine so natural “A/C” is cracking the windows open

if you like a room the size of a postage stamp this is your place! Shower was VERY small. No A/C (they had a standing fan in the room), went for Oktoberfest and they jacked up the prices $$$$. Breakfast was a joke - cold cereals and day old fruit/meats plus they charge 11 Euros!!! Insulting. When i complained i was told basically that is what it is take it or leave it. the Hôtel is not near much and in residential area, garbage trucks every morn at 7am. Don't waste your money here.

Ich fand die Preis/Leistung Verhältnis sehr gut und Hotel Lage - Spitze. Es liegt nah am Botanischen Garten und das Stadtzentrum ist nur vier S-Bahn Stationen entfernt. Die Einrichtung ist zwar ein wenig in Jahre gekommen, aber immer noch in Ordnung, wenn man nicht vorhat, durchgehend im Hotel zu sitzen. Frühstück kostet extra, wie fast überall, und ist ausreichend für normalen Einsprüchen. Ich kann dieses Hotel definitiv weiter empfehlen.

While our 2-day visit coincided with a heat wave ( 90F), we were very disappointed in the hotel and its amenities. The rooms reminded me of a dormitory. Small/cramped, older, small bathrooms, no A/C in the hotel and the most minimal and un-amazing breakfast of our entire week-long tour thru Germany (not even English breakfast tea bags). The hotel was in a great location though, a short walk to Schloss Nymphenburg with its expansive gardens. But be prepared for lots of walking to and from.

Great location. Clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. The only strike (and it is a big one) is the complete joke of a breakfast. All tables dirty, guests asking for towels to bus tables.l themselves. I arrived one hour before close and there was no water or milk. All food was gone. Dead wasp in the apple juice. Cold coffee. All tea -except weird flavors- was gone. I ended up eating cornflakes from a teacup with a fork. Too bad, because I left the hotel on such a down note. If I stay there again, I’d write off the breakfast and go to a cafe near the Palace.
