Hotel Opera

The hotel was beautiful and in a lovely area. Breakfast was amazing. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned every day. Only criticism was no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms and a very tiny bar area. Very polite and attentive staff.

If you wish to have a decadent experience in a beautiful setting with a romantic courtyard, this is the place for you!

Excellent hotel location close to dining, shopping, transportation. Completely walkable to Altstadt Munich. Quiet street. Parking assistance from the hotel meant overnight and daytime parking was very reasonable. The friendly staff was extremely professional and helpful. Breakfast was very good. On the negative side our beds were in need of new mattresses, although we were moved to a different room that was slightly more comfortable for sleeping. Bathroom/toilet space in both rooms were small by modern standards, but functional. I think the hotel would be very good for solo travelers. The location is outstanding and as I mentioned earlier, the entire hotel staff was top notch.

Très bien situé, très propre mais un peu petit (on s'y sent un peu à l'étroit). Excellent petit déjeuné. Seul bémole est le parking, on nous vend une vignette à 11 euro qui nous donne accès à plein de stationnement aux alentours (ce qui est très bien), mais on oubli de nous dire qu'il faut payer une 2e vignette "taxe environnement" à 9euro pour avoir le droit de se stationner... Résultat plus de 80 euro en amende!!!

Leider konnten wir die überdurchschnittlich gute Bewertung des Hotels vor Ort leider nicht nachempfinden. Das Hotel ist zwar auf den ersten Blick nett anzusehen, aber bei genauerem Hinsehen ist es sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Da es im Zimmer keine Klimaanlage gibt, sondern lediglich einen maroden Ventilator, welcher zum Schlafen zu laut ist, mussten wir das Fenster Richtung Straße öffnen. Leider keine gute Idee, denn es ist sehr laut und früh morgens erfolgen bereits die ersten Anlieferungen. Die Bettdecken und Kissen waren ekelhaft verschmutzt und unter den Bettbezügen so nicht sichtbar. Als es uns jedoch aufgefallen war, baten wir sowohl die Putzdame als auch die Rezeption uns neue Decken und Kissen zu bringen, was jedoch nicht geschah ... erst bei der zweiten Reklamation. Das Frühstück ist grundsätzlich in Ordnung, jedoch nicht sehr nachhaltig, denn es wird direkt an den Tisch gebracht, sodass immer etwas dabei ist, was man nicht mag und somit weggeschmissen werden muss. Das ist nicht zeitgemäß. Die Lage ist prima und auch das Parken hat bei uns sehr gut geklappt. Wir hatten einen Tiefgaragenstellplatz für 25 €/Tag. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Kurzum, ein nettes Hotel mit einigen Defiziten, welches wir nicht nochmal buchen würden.

Great location and although we had a room facing the street, noise wasn’t an issue. The fan in the room was welcome. The breakfast and staff were excellent - would highly recommend this hotel and stay again

All the rooms were very individual. Staff were so helpful. Breakfast is beautiful. The garden is a lovely place to sit. The only thing missing is a kettle in the bedroom

This hotel was perfect for my trip: -- the location was perfect. 15 min walk to the center of town. Cute neighborhood with some nice restaurants within a block or two. -- Hotel was super cute. Rooms were nice. My room had a nice balcony. Bathroom was modern. -- Breakfast was served every morning. Eating are was elegant. Cocktails were also offered in the evening. -- Staff was super attentive and kind

Very beautiful hotel with comfortable beds. There was no air conditioning so thankfully the days we were there we’re fairly cool. They did have a Dyson fan that helped. Breakfast was very good.

All the qualities that a hotel should have was lacking in this hotel. Toilet flush did not work, shower did not drain, filthy carpet and walls. Torn down furniture and curtains,......

This was a super cute property with a great courtyard space. The room was nice but I am not sure how well it is cleaned as I found an old toothpick and built up dust under the night table. The bathroom was updated but is tiny with a very small shower. Breakfast was free and excellent! Served high tea style with croissants, yogurt, and egg options. About a 10 min walk to the main city center.

Schöne Einrichtung, sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, familiäres Ambiente, alles in allem wunderbar. Hatten beim Superior-Zimmer sogar einen Balkon zum Hinterhof dabei. Sehr sauber. Leckeres Frühstück.

The hotel’s location is great, and the facilities are wonderful. However, our room was an absolute disaster. It was like the room time forgot. Outdated, spotted carpet over everything, a microscopic bathroom with a makeshift shower. The standard was shocking for a four-star hotel. However, the staff were friendly and breakfast was lovely. So it really was an experience at both ends of the quality scale.

Really nice character property. 10 mins walk to centre, close to public transport. Reception staff probably the best ever. Really pleasant and attentive. Nice room, comfy bed. We had a standard room with probably the smallest bathroom ever, so you may prefer an upgrade. Nice breakfast, served at your table rather than a buffet. Nice omelettes. Recommended.

This hotel is definitely unique. If you like Wes Anderson movies, the opulent lobby will deliver. But if you'd prefer not to see every inch of yourself while showering or using the toilet, look elsewhere as the fully mirrored bathroom was an experience. I enjoy quirky places, but this one leaned into the bizarre. Our room was a tiny, triangle-shaped wedge at the end of a corridor, painted bright yellow featuring a built-in wardrobe resembling a high school theater prop. The old-school key came with a large leather-fringed key fob, and the flimsy door felt like a laminate kitchen cabinet. There were three lamps, none of which worked. Only the chandelier lit the room, giving it haunted mansion vibes. The carpet was well-padded but worn; more '70s basement than boutique hotel. Ventilation was poor; no AC (which we knew), no bathroom exhaust, and just one awkward corner window. The bathroom's floor-to-ceiling mirrors were a brutal reminder of too much schnitzel. The 3x3 ft shower, with a notch in the door for the sink, made shaving impossible. Staff was kind but unhelpful when we asked if we could get a pastry or anything as we’d have to leave just 30 minutes before breakfast’s start, so we left hungry. The lobby and courtyard are nice, and the location is good, but room quality varies wildly. Others in our party had a suite that looked like Versailles and even the concierge apologized upon check in at the disparity of rooms he had to offer. At least it provides a good story!

Great location with very attentive staff. The hotel is a little dated- while still having charm. We somehow ended up in a very small room. Nicely appointed - but very small. We would go back but may be more selective on the room.

A nice hotel, our room (35) was very nice, though the bathroom and loo (separate) were very small. Breakfast was very nice. We would stay again.

The lobby and eating areas were much more comfortable than the room. Hotel seems to attach more importance to appearance than comfort in rooms. Shower is extremely tiny barely enough room to get in and we are not big persons. Bed was soft and pillows softer. It does have a great location and the staff was very good.

Friendly staff in great area

The staff was outstanding and very helpful. Ashraf the evening front desk man went out of his way to make us feel welcome, and was especially helpful with directions. Breakfast was excellent as well. My wife enjoyed the long stem rose in our room.

Tres decu de mon 2eme voyage dans cet etablissement. Je suis venu cette fois avec mon epouse; en arrivant nous avons constaté que les couettes et oreillers etaient en plumes. Ma femme etant alegique nous avons demandé à la reception couettes et oreillers synthétiques. Une seule sur le deux a pu etre changé. La personne a la réception (owner?) n'a pas été accommodante. J'ai du dormir avec des serviettes en guise de couette. Pour un hôtel identifié comme 4 étoiles, cela est inadmissible. Seul point positif, le petit déjeuner servi à table très appréciable et la localisation de l’hôtel.

They call the room a suite room, the charge you like it is the Hilton suite, and then you get a room that looks like a basement... and the pictures on the site are fake. They are not answering costumer E-mails. It felt like a scam hotel. it says it is a 4-star hotel, felt like a 2-star hotel, If you charge prices accordingly to the room's appearance, you will not get a review like this. Paid for 4 nights, left after 1 night...

Great location and logistics in relation to the Conference Center. The service and communication from this hotel was excellent. Very prompt and clear responses.

Clean, so friendly (to Americans) and helpful. The breakfast was soup to nuts included every day and that helped us so much on our trip. Perfect walkable location to EVERYTHING!! We saved money on trains by staying here. The train station is steps away, though. Thanks for a fabulous stay. I will recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Munich.

This was an excellent place to stay.It was tucked away in an area that was close to shopping yet not in a busy area.Very close to some very nice local restaurants and nice quite streets to walk

Chose this neighborhood so we would not be too near Oktoberfest. Literally a few yards from U Bahn so easy to get to the festival. Professional staff. All with good English if needed. Nice continental breakfast. Like many of our stats in this trip, bathroom a little tight. Also had bonus room overlooking garden to give us sense of a bigger room. Located right by cute square with several shops and restaurants.

What a wonderful hotel! Beautiful and comfortable room, terrific breakfast, convenient to train and tram and an easy walk to Marienplatz. Highly recommend this hotel!

Loved the Opera Hotel. Gorgeous interior, charming decor, wonderful breakfast. Each room has different style. A true boutique hotel with old world charm. Walking distance to old town, Englischer Garten, U bahn St. Anna Str. Lehel is a wonderful part of München too! Cute coffeeshops and restaurants right outside.

Wow, what a spectacular breakfast, like English tea time, cold cuts and cheese piled on layered plates, excellent selection of bread, omelet — absolutely make sure you have enough time in the morning to enjoy. Room is a bit old, but clean
