Pros: Location is close to the Bay Street strip; Good coffee and orange juice for breakfast! Cons: Pool is disgusting and the pictures of the pool online are very deceiving (likely used a wide angled lens)! Toilet didn't work! AC didn't work! TV remote didn't work! After calling about each issue, the maintenance man was able to fix these things but clearly not a good place to book your vacation at. UNLESS you order breakfast, the included items are not worth eating. Be sure to give yourself enough time to have a taxi drive you to the airport since they are NOT readily available outside the hotel NO MATTER what the front desk tells you. After complaining about these things, they didn't give us any discount for our troubles.

We loved its location - Smack in the middle of town, shopping, close to the Straw market and beach etc. Most affordable and tasty food at their restaurant The room was clean and was cleaned everyday Pleasant and attentive staff. Für unsere Zwecke absolut in Ordnung, unser Zimmer war an einer Aussenseite und man hörte die ganze Nacht eine Klimaanlage / Lüftung. Fenster konnte man nicht ganz verschliessen. Aber trotzdem OK, Personal äußerst hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Dachterasse und Pool sind Cool!

It would be greatly appreciated if the low-budget hotel could be upgraded. It is quite inconvenient to have to wait to be buzzed in when the door is locked, and the lack of an elevator is also a hindrance.

Great place - loved Max the 56-year-old parrot. Good value, friendly, and clean (lots of pleasant staff). Excellent bar (and Happy Hour) and good lunch/dinner. Great convenient locations 1.5 blocks from waterfront.

The front desk staff were very nice and super helpful. Room was good, everything clean and in order. Room staff attended to the room each day, except days when I said they didn't need to bother. I would stay here again.

Garbages overflowing. Saw multiple rats scurrying around pool area and second floor. Well located to the tourist area and food and staff service was good. Good for one night stop over however would probably not vacation here.

This properly need a lot of work. The ceiling was leaking water. I saw a huge rat. The food that they serve has no taste. The bed was hard as rock. It was not what I expected when I booked this hotel the pictures look so nice but when I got there, it look like a rundown motel.

First I’d Like to say the guy at the desk checking us in is 5 star. That being said, this hotel is very dirty. They have a serious issue with small brown ants (piss ants in the states) they are all over the pool area and in our room. The door knob was broken. We were literally locked in our room. It just kept spinning around. But the desk guy came right away and changed it. The help is great, the hotel is not even good. It needs a deep cleaning everywhere. Especially the tile around the pool and trash cans as well. It’s the cheapest around but you definitely get what you pay for.

I had to stay here for 4 days out of necessity, whether it was day or night you will find cockroaches all over the room, the second day when I was about to walk to my room (the last one in the hallway) there were 3 rats right outside my room. I went to the front desk and he mockingly asked him, "Are you afraid of rats?" Yes, they were the size of a rabbit, I answered. That's not the point. These types of animals transmit serious diseases to humans. I don't think anyone deserves to sleep in a room like that, much less if you pay $130 a day. Not to mention the breakfast they give you: 12 overcooked eggs, black coffee, a few slices of cheddar cheese, and 5 slices of bread for the entire hotel. This is disrespectful. This hotel should close now

This hotel is very old and not fancy, but it is unique and has a lot of character. The room was clean, the bed was good, the breakfast was sufficient, and the front desk was extremely courteous and helpful. It is in the heart of downtown Nassau, and the perfect location for what I needed.

Cockroaches in bathroom when I Arrived. Charged more than I expected like 10,15$. walls were too thin-i could hear the music at night from down the road till 2pm. the breakfast in morning didnt have enough vegeterian option for my friend. the pool didnt look clean enough nor the parrot stand in lobby. the wifi situation is somewhat annpying. you have to login to many different witi for each floor/area/room. fridge had water all over jt.the positives were that i mwt some indian people there, i loved rhe art in the premise. i walkee to graycliff frim there wherr you can see the chocolate fsctory and s nicr souvenir shop. i didnt have chance or time to go to the pirates museum. hillside house didnt have an exhibit. the national gallery had a pop up but didnt attend. oh and the water from shower also ended up on bathroom floor so my friend had to clean that up. it was supposed to be $160 and i got charged ~$179

The hotel is situated right in the city so it is really handy to everything especially bars. It is approximately twenty four minutes drive to the airport. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was good as were the prices. The room was clean but the beds are very old. Mattresses need replacing. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Good security at the hotel but no safe deposit box in the room. We had to call the night manager due to noisy drunk guests waking us up at 5 am. The night manager responded swiftly and dealt with those guests. The room was a bit pricey but given it’s in the Bahamas where everything is pricey, it was ok. This was fine for one night but I would not be wanting to stay for multiple nights as the surrounding streets are noisy too. No lift so you have to use stairs. Staff helped us with our luggage. A beautiful parrot in the bar. Max is somewhat friendly. Don’t get too close!!

It's hard to write a bad review because people were nice. But you can't sleep here. First night a concert one block away until 3:30 AM. Every other night it was the paper thin walls with no sound proofing you can literally hold a conversation with people outside you room. It's awful. Breakfast was fine basically toast, a frozen muffin, orange slices and salami hard boiled eggs. We stayed here because it's close to everything and across from the tourism office. Also heard it was owned by Bahamian family. But man put some effort in and this could be such a cool place

An ok place to stay if you want to be in Nassau. The rooms and utilities are small but practical. The pool and roof are decent but don’t get much use. The wifi is not reliable throughout, but works pretty well in the lobby. The staff are friendly and Max the parrot greets all visitors. Downtown Nassau was pretty deserted at night in January.

We booked this hotel due to its location. Property was close to almost everything, it's right in the middle of downtown and is walking distance to all spots a tourist would want to go see in Nassau. We saw Junkanoo festival, went back to room once we were done watching with no hassle. One thing to note is it will get very loud on the holidays because you are in downtown. Loud music and city life woke us up between 5am-6am. Great stay overall.

Nice location. However, they should consider modernizing the rooms. It looked a little old and the furniture especially the chairs were dingy. Besides that it was clean and the staff was awesome!

It was affordable and so centrally located for walking around downtown. However, it was very loud at night due to only window leavers so heard all kinds of noises outside. And no hot water in the shower. Great happy hour at the bar!

The hotel apparently did not accept the online payment because the name on the card is different from who was checking in and did not advise me until i got here because it was too late I had to use my spending cash to get the room which was a big set back. The staff, whilst not rude, were not friendly either but I feel like that’s the entire culture here. The room had no hot water, during a very cold couple days in Bahamas and also I saw two roaches in it during my stay here. To charge so much money for this place is a crime.

The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and every one of them had a smile and a friendly greeting for me. The location is close to everything downtown but we had dinner in the hotel restaurant a couple of times because the food was really good. I would definitely stay here again!

We booked this hotel due to its location. Property was close to almost everything, it's right in the middle of downtown and is walking distance to all spots a tourist would want to go see in Nassau. We saw Junkanoo festival, went back to room once we were done watching with no hassle. One thing to note is it will get very loud on the holidays because you are in downtown. Loud music and city life woke us up between 5am-6am. Great stay overall.

The hotel has a great location in the picturesque section of old town Nassau. Quiet street, close to shopping and restaurants. Nice lobby with interesting art and a macaw. Rooms look out onto an open courtyard, shielding them from outside noise, but the courtyard itself can be quite noisy during the evening. Very helpful staff. I could get only lukewarm water in at night. Excellent air conditioning. Mediocre breakfast was included and the advertised supplements such as omelets and pancakes were not available. Most of the nearby restaurants close at 6:00 PM when the cruise ship crowds leave, but you can walk to the many Bahamian conch and fish places on Fish Fry St (about a mile along Bay Ave). Or have a a decent meal in the hotel. The Towne hotel is excellent value for the price. Mostly a Bahamian clientele.

This hotel is very old and not fancy, but it is unique and has a lot of character. The room was clean, the bed was good, the breakfast was sufficient, and the front desk was extremely courteous and helpful. It is in the heart of downtown Nassau, and the perfect location for what I needed.

Great place - loved Max the 56-year-old parrot. Good value, friendly, and clean (lots of pleasant staff). Excellent bar (and Happy Hour) and good lunch/dinner. Great convenient locations 1.5 blocks from waterfront.

I really appreciated the staff they were very friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel is excellent. Unfortunately, my stay was affected by the constant noise at night. The frogs croaked nonstop, which made it very hard to sleep. I understand that rain attracts frogs, but it really doesn’t make for a comfortable hotel environment. As for the breakfast, I think it they should remove complimentary breakfast considering the quality. What was offered felt very poorly thought out, and honestly, I would have preferred to go out and buy my own breakfast instead. Overall, great staff and location, but the noise and breakfast quality left a lot to be desired.
