10/10 Excellent My husband and I recently stayed at this charming hotel during our Oaxaca vacation, and it exceeded all expectations. The location is unbeatable – in the heart of downtown yet surprisingly peaceful. Everything we wanted to explore was within walking distance: the cathedral, museums, zócalo, restaurants, and mercados were all steps away. The three-story hotel has no elevator, but the stairs are remarkably easy to navigate. Our room was a cozy sanctuary with thoughtful touches that made us feel at home. The cleanliness was impeccable – every surface sparkled with attention to detail. We recommend this hotel. It perfectly balances prime location, comfort, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality.

Utmärkt läge och snygg boutique-design. Vårt rum var litet men mysigt. Trevlig personal. Lite märkligt att man inte fick använda den moderna och rymliga hissen om man inte var handikappad, åtminstone när man hade tunga resväskor borde det vara ok, tycker jag.

Parador San Miguel is a friendly, clean, and charming boutique hotel. We greatly enjoyed our stay. It's conveniently located just a few blocks from the Zòcalo, city square and the heart of Oaxaca. Was there for six days. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Room was immaculate. Amenities were very good. Location was very good. Restaurant on site was excellent. They could add white noise machines to help with their acoustics problem, but overall a very nice stay.

Staff were courteous and helpful. We’ve never stayed at any place with a higher level of cleanliness. The staff were polishing windows, railings, floors, etc every day. Close to Zocalo and center of town. An excellent place to stay.

This beautiful hotel is a few blocks from the zocalo (square). It is very clean & well maintained; decorated with Mexican art & lighting. You really feel like you’re in Mexico. We arrived early & were able to get into our room. The hotel staff were so warm & always helpful. Our room (superior) was spacious & comfortable. The bed a bit softer than our liking. Great a/c! Oaxaca City was hot! Large bathroom, good lighting, big shower, lots of hot water. There was no elevator, but one was being installed during our stay. The restaurant was convenient. Breakfast not included with our stay. We mostly ate out, but did have a light breakfast & cocktails there. The staff were very nice & efficient. We really enjoyed our stay at Parador San Miguel & would return. The only negative to add was we were in room 201. Early in the morning you can hear staff below preparing for their work in the hotel. We’re early risers, so it was not a problem. If you sleep in you may prefer another location.

The hotel is pristine, beautifully decorated. It feels like you travelled back to another time when people lived in these grand houses. The staff is super nice. The rooms look bigger in the pictures. We booked a king room and there was not enough space in the room to sit and drink our coffee. The tv, while large, was set up atop an armoire and it was difficult to watch it. Internet wifi was slow and because we needed to work. we ended up having to use our own network (at a cost), because connecting to zoom or meet was nearly impossible. I would not recommend the hotel for an executive needing to do some work, nor for families.

The hotel is lovely from the minute you step inside the lobby and are greeted by the friendly staff. Everything about this boutique hotel is exceptional. The restaurant has great food and drinks, very reasonably priced. We had one of the suites (room 206) - Zaachila suite. The room was very spacious as so was the bathroom with jacuzzi tub. Purified water brought in daily, robes & slippers provided, housekeeping upon request to reduce water usage, fresh towels daily, in-room safe, and fabulous king bed. The location was perfect for walking anywhere in el centro Oaxaca. Minutes in each direction gets you to all the sights, museums, markets, etc. I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Staff was super friendly and very gracious.

Absolute disappointment with the arrogant manager in turn whereby not only refused to accept responsibility but gave false accusations resulting in a disturbing dispute completely disrupting our honeymoon. We chose this hotel for being classified as a "boutique luxury hotel" and part of the Petits Hotels affiliates who are supposed to known for their excellent premises and personalized service. However, this was very misleading and far from what they claim to be. This review is truthful and accurate and there is tangible proof of it all.

Excellent service, hotel is clean, staff was amazing! On our 2nd day of staying at hotel we had a family emergency, death in family and Mr Victor and his staff were kind enough to assist without hesitation in what we needed to find flights, transportation and whatever else was needed. We are very appreciative and thankful for there kindness! 100% recommend Hotel Boutique Parador San Miguel will definitely stay there again and enjoy the beautiful state of Oaxaca!

It’s very clean, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. They are so sweet that they set up a birthday decoration for our room when I mentioned it was a birthday celebration trip. It was such a pleasant surprise! They made the birthday celebration extraordinarily a special one to remember for years to come. We enjoyed our stay very much and we truly appreciate the effort they put in.

Things started well for our trip before turning sour. We received a welcome drink and got to check in early. The staff were friendly and the room spacious and clean. Only the check out soured our trip. Staff told me that they had not received payment for the rooms. Even when I showed them my credit card statement on my phone, they agreed that I had paid Expedia, but Expedia had not paid the hotel. So, I had to pay the full amount, again! And all of this at 06:15 on a Sunday morning, leaving for the airport.

Parador San Miguel has an awesome location just one block from Oaxaca’s main square. Everything is within walking distance. Place is quiet and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. The Hotel’s restaurant is very good, great service staff and reasonable prices

Great location. I was able to walk to most everything I wanted to see except the ruins. The staff is very helpful. The morning restaurant staff are especially wonderful. I had bfast every day and no matter what I had they served me quickly and the food was delicious!!!

We booked two rooms and were upgraded to a suite and a junior suite. Both rooms were large and attractive. The junior suite, however, had a great deal of street noise which made it hard for our daughter to sleep. The location of the hotel was great for walking everywhere in Centro. The hotel office staff were polite but not warm or welcoming. The restaurant staff varied wildly from helpful and attentive to not even allowing us to order food/drinks. We did not like the caged birds; it was upsetting to see them and made it hard to enjoy eating on the patio. Lastly, most hotels of this caliber provide free bottled water on demand. This one only provided a small carafe the first night and nothing after that. In short, I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again. There are better options at this price point.

The staff greeted me with a shot of mescal when I checked in. My room was without question the cutest hotel room I've ever stayed in. So charming. The are is extremely walkable...don't forget to go to the artsy area. The markets, the food, the dancing in the square....all excellent. I can't say enough positive things about this hotel...oh wait! The towels are soft, comfy, and embossed!
